It seemed like a dangerous venture to protect this part of the city alone, and as he lingered nearby, watching the city he wasn't exactly familiar with, he felt he could some good here, better even, than wandering from city block to city block and leaving it to chance if he spotted someone to attack. It might even keep him on his toes more, not to mention helping out a fellow officer who seemed a bit overwhelmed with too many enemies. "A nice control here would be good, and while I don't think I have any fancy moves or tricks, I've been around long enough to be able to help." He was a captain after all, but it was more through time and dedication than any large accomplishments on his part. He wasn't about to go gloating about his rank.
"I would be happy to help, both to help you not be overwhelmed or put in any serious danger, and to maybe learn a bit more. I was thinking of concentrating on an certain area than just scanning the entire city and going from area to area." A small territory of his own seemed to be better than leaving things up to chance by patrolling the great, large city.
"Well then. It seems it settled. I hope you don't mind if I stay here a while and patrol with you? I think I could learn a bit from you too."

This was turning out to be a good night. A very good night. With Wolframite wanting to stick around, several of Mica’s problems had been solved at once: she had help for taking down packs, she had a more experienced comrade to learn to, and now she was familiar with someone of a higher rank. Best of all, the Captain seemed tolerable; Mica would not gladly suffer a fool or braggart.
“ A small territory would have its advantages. I tend to stick to the Boulevard,” by that, Mica was referring to King Boulevard,“ and Knocktown, but considering the inhabitants that’s still pretty big. Plenty room for a second set of eyes.”
It seemed like the start of a beautiful... well, not exactly a friendship. A beautiful, mutually beneficial arrangement then. No, not a bad night at all.
