I wouldn't doubt it, I remember at one point there were only 23 registered seiyuu (voice actors) I think there are much more now, but that's why there were so many voices that sounded exactly the same at one point.

I don't really feel as if there are that many that sound the same now. Sure, there are some that you're like..."wait, you're not X from y?" but there's a good amount of variety soes it's nice to be able to take part in it.

I have the biggest case of Yu Yu Fangirl. Kurama makes me melt every time. The plotline and characters are so wonderful. Even the characters that I hate I have to admire. I made it through the entire series, but it was a long time ago. I have been considering re-watching it. It is one of those series that you an watch over and over and still love.
