Tim nodded as he was reminded of what Jinx told him, with the tower collapsing in San Fransisco...
"I've missed out on however long this city-splicing has been going on... and no one knows why. I heard Gotham's Knight has been missing among others."
Robin hinted that he didn't know where his partner was either.

Nightshade nodded, "Alright then, I guess this is up to us. Have your partner come up here. I don't think anyone's going to shoot. And maybe... we can straighten this mess out."

Robin paused, realizing the man was speaking of Jinx. He stepped back to where she was.
"You comfortable with talking with them?"
He whispered. 'Batgirl' hadn't approached when Tim did...
((is that right?... and she hasn't mentioned anything about Tim being a separate Robin than she knows. XD))

'Batgirl' rose from her hiding place and walked back with Robin, "Can we trust this guy. I have no idea who he is?"
Nightshade chuckled beneath his mask, "Everyone forgets you...."
The S.T.A.R. Lab guards simply looked on in shock.
The old crimefighter turned to one of the guards, "Maybe you should call that ambulance... Your friend is stable, but he still needs to be more thoroughly examined."

 As the guards radioed in an ambulance, Des stood up and addressed Robin and 'Batgirl', "I suppose that some introductions are in order. I'm called Nightshade and this young woman with me is called Storm. We ported in just after the explosion happened here. So far, we haven't noticed any radiation or chemical contaminants from our scanners. What's really strange is that I didn't pick up any trace or acceleratants or anything like C-4, dynamite or any other standard explosive materials. Also, I detected no sign of a fire or normal combustion. So far, this one has me stumped. I haven't been able to talk to the guards about it yet, I was treating Charlie over there." Nightshade nodded over where the wounded guard was.

Crystal snuck up, sniffing the scene, a familiar scent going the same direction that Tim and 'Batgirl' had gone. Kesshou flew overhead, looking around for any clues to what had happened.
Crystal came up to the others and looked to the new person and the gaurds. She looked to Nightshade. He seemed familiar but she couldn't place where at the moment. "Konichiwa Nightshade. How have you been? Oh, Kesshou is up there" She pointed up, "looking for clues."
She smiled and looked to Storm. "Hi Storm."

Arell trailed behind slightly. His cigarette dangled out of his mouth as he walked through the labs, the smoke leaving what looked like the exhaust for a '46 Packard on a winter day. He got up to where the others were, looking around.
"Hey, y'all. He don't exac'ly look t' hot . . . he gon' be alright?" he asked, his Cajun accent thick over his words like swamp mud.

Nightshade looked at Crystal in the eye, "Did the Professor send you as backup? I'm actually glad that you're here. I don't suppose you heard my conversation to Robin here?"

Robin nodded as Nightshade spoke, his right green glove shooting to his chin as he picked apart the situation in front of them. It sounded as though Nightshade and Storm had arrived with just as many questions as they did.
"Professor...?"
His mumble was barely audible, but it was one thing Tim probably would figure out for himself.
"A charred man was thrown into a vehicle near our position. We came over to check out the scene..."

 (No problem, Soulless. It's life. mrgreen ) 'Batgirl' spoke up, "Yeah, it was really gross CSI stuff. Bleah. Anyway, my readings does confirms ... uh, Nightshade's here. Also, I'm just as surprised as anyone that Gotham isn't mutating like crazy." Nightshade thought a moment and turned to the injured guard, "Hey Charlie, do you have any idea what might have been stored in the area that was blown?" The injured guard looked up with tired eyes, "Even if I knew, I wouldn't be able to tell ya. This job goes a lot easier, if ya don't know nothing." The older crimefighter nodded, "Okay.... So without violating your security protocols, did you notice anything unusual just before the explosion?" The guard thought a moment, "Yeah, there was. There was a bunch of power fluctuations and couple of alarms went off. Jim was checkin it out, when everythin went boom."

Crystal shook her head. ''Not really on both accounts. when we all went through your portal from the docks we got split up. I still havn't seen Remy anywhere.'' She looked back as Arell walked up. ''Hey.'' Crystal smiled softly at the big Cajun man.
Kesshou landed by them. ''Hi again. The only unusual thing here is the lack of evidence. There are spikes of electricity in the remaining wiring but thats all I can tell as of right now.''

The bat-themed Jinx glanced at the wounded guard, "You said there were power fluctuations. Did they follow any patterns?"
Charlie thought about it, "Well, the lights flickered in the labs and the hallways."
Jinx smiled faintly, "So this distortion went down the hallways. And you guys didn't see anything?"
The guard shook his head, "There wasn't anything on the cameras, that's why Jim took a look around."

Robin kept quiet as he stood next to the group. His eyes scanned further into the building. Assuming he missed some years, Tim could imagine what advances he didn't know about in current technology, how security had changed in his time 'away'.

Jinx walked up beside Tim and whispered, "Hey Robin. They didn't see anybody inside the labs, right? But it sounds like the power surges followed a pathway. It sounds like a thief to me."
