Let me make myself perfectly clear... Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka grinned at her lieutenant and took it in stride "Ah but a juice box is far more complicated than a pair of chopsticks." she teased. "And you're quite welcome." As the waiter moved away to get their orders ready she turned to look at Kilk "Actually I haven't been here in a long time." A fond smile crossed her lips as she turned to stare out at the street "I grew up here in Rukongai after I died. Even though I was born in the World of the Living... this place is and always will be my home." If you ever try to harm my friends then I will rip you apart! ((Ah okay. ))

"You messin' with a Shiba?" Raine rolled his eyes and smiled at her mention of a juice box being far more complicated then a pair of chopsticks. His turquoise eyes moved over to observe Kilk. "To tell you the truth I rarely come here." he added to Ruka's statement, answering Kilk's question "The only time I ever have the convenience of coming here is for articles or when a hollow is attacking... but otherwise I have never been given the opportunity to grasp the true beauty of this area." He smiled again, his eyes shining brightly with happiness as the daylight flooded into the Ramen Shop. Theres a lot of light here... I know you'll like that... Right Emmy and Hisui?
He smiled as they seemingly responded to him with a kind 'Indeed'.
"I wonder what it must have been like to live here..." Raine wondered aloud, not realizing he was speaking subconsciously. "You're asking for a sh*tload a' trouble!" Overpowering darkness... Bringing the light... The Shiba boy... Puts up a hell of a fight!
Behind his smile, lies a beast... Think he'll ever give up? Not in the least!

◊Squad 13 Captain, Kilk Nagara◊ "I see. I guess it is very lucky you were able to grasp spiritual energy. Not just that, but grasp that well enough to become a Captain. I applaud you for your hard work." His hands moved under his chin as he held his head up. His blank emerald gaze then moving to Raine. "Oh, is that so. I almost forgot you guys handle the newspapers right? It seems like a peaceful job, plus you get to travel around, so that must be fun. But may I ask you both something important?" "Why would you choose to come to such a bad restaurant? You could easily command a squad member to make you a fine quality meal. How about skipping out on food? Why would you choose to only get water? You could easily buy more than that." Sojiro had been at it again. "Well, you know the answers to all of those. May I please converse in peace for now?" He looked up to the both of them as he began to speak in a softer tone. "Why Squad 9, were you assigned? Maybe you requested? I just want to know, if you are both this high rank, then you obviously have talent that could be used in any Squad. What made you stick with Squad 9?"

"You messin' with a Shiba?" "Interesting you should ask that..." Raine began, as a bowl of steaming hot ramen was placed in front of him. He smiled and thanked the waiter as he set the chopsticks down aside it, allowing the ramen to cool off before he dug into it. "I was originally supposed to be assigned into Squad Thirteen, to take after my father, but I never actually decided to take part in it... I decided that writing for the Sereitei Monthly would be perfect for me... I had been trained by the previous Ninth Division Taicho... But something happened to him... I filed a request to join the Ninth Division shortly after, and the test I was required to take, I ended up passing with a very good score, along with my apparent good work ethic... I ended up as Lieutenant.." He smiled as he looked to his Ruka. "Though my work ethic has become a bit slower ever since..." he alluded to the several stacks of paperwork that they constantly dumped in the Tenth Division Office when they were not up for it, either that or procrastinating often and having to do it on late nights...
Raine trailed away from his topic and averted the attention to Captain Nagara... "But what about you Nagara-Taicho?" "You're asking for a sh*tload a' trouble!" Overpowering darkness... Bringing the light... The Shiba boy... Puts up a hell of a fight!
Behind his smile, lies a beast... Think he'll ever give up? Not in the least!

Let me make myself perfectly clear... Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka looked slightly embarrassed "Well I didn't do it all on my own. A man I respect found me and saw my potential. He took me into Shino Academy..." her voice trailed off as he kept asking questions. "Well to be honest I wanted to remain in Squad 13 forever, I was content there. If I ever wanted to be in another Squad it would've been 11, however... that man I respect recommended me for Squad 9. I suppose it was because I was always writing but I found I loved it there regardless. It could be counted as my second home so that's why I stay." she smiled warmly at Kilk "Ah but it's not all peace. We're often the ones sent on patrol." she grinned.
Her ears picked up Raine's question and she allowed herself a smile. Without even thinking she launched into a reverie of sorts "It was hard living here. All we had was each other and since a few of us were spiritually powered we were hungry. The nights were cold and we had no place to stay... but we were happy. There were friendly people who gave us food, other children who had homes were never afraid to invite us into a game. We had each other and we had the people of Rukongai. For a child that has nothing... it was enough." her voice was warm with the memory of her past before she shook it off and let herself return to the present.
"Yes. What about you Nagara?" If you ever try to harm my friends then I will rip you apart!

◊Squad 13 Captain, Kilk Nagara◊ He looked to Raine as he listened to the man's answer. "I see, well it is good that you have your resolve. A man can go far with determination, but will be halted with a lack of resolve. So you should hold onto that resolve you carry. It will get you through many situations."His gaze was then directed towards Ruka as he listened in on her answer next. "Well that man must of been a wise one. It seems as if he lead you to something you were fated to do. I don't know you well yet, but from what I have gathered you are perfect for Squad 9. Just be careful on the patrol missions, I am sure you have seen enough to know that they can sometimes be the most deadly. We wouldn't want that writing hand of yours to be ruined~""And to answer the question you both asked me, be ready for a pretty drab story~" He held his hand up to his jaw as he went into thought to remember his history. "I was brought into the Academy because I was sensitive to spirit energy. Just like every student there. I actually never was able to grasp Hado and Bakudo that well at all. In fact i am still a novice to this day at using it. What got me through was my swordsmanship, I may not be great at handling the casting, but I am exceptional at handling the blade. My Shikai really helped though. Once I finished my plan was too join Squad 9 to sharpen my penmanship. I am a fan of writing poetry and I thought that Squad would be perfect for me. I was placed in Squad 13 though, and when the position for Captain came up, I wass accepted as it after rising through the ranks."

"You messin' with a Shiba?" Raine listened keenly to Nagara-Taicho's advice, nodding as he took the words into consideration, allowing them to sink into his mind... deciding to store those thoughts for later pondering, he smiled. "Thank you Nagara-Taicho." He replied, listening to both Ruka's and Kilk's stories...
As he listened he slowly began to eat little by little of his ramen, the way in which he used his chopsticks were perfect, neat posture, firmly held, he had obviously had practice in presentation when it came to eating, despite the fact that Raine disliked having to change his posture around others simply because it was his duty as a Noble.
Raine's ears perked up at Nagara-Taicho's mention of poetry... "I simply love poetry! Especially Haikus..." he interrupted eagerly, apologizing for interrupting the story as he continued to listen. "How interesting how the both of you became Captains... I didn't get into much detail about my younger days... I figure you'd probably not want to hear about it... It was all... rather.." His voice trailed off as the sad reminder of his father drifted into his mind... His voice was now sad as he completed his sentence... "Boring..."
His happy attitude had changed dramatically to disappointment, as he silently continued on with his ramen... "You're asking for a sh*tload a' trouble!" Overpowering darkness... Bringing the light... The Shiba boy... Puts up a hell of a fight!

Let me make myself perfectly clear... Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka smiled as she listened and started on her bowl of ramen. Half of it was already gone by the time she replied "Thank you, and you don't have to worry a bit about me losing my hands." there was a wicked smile on her face as she spoke. It was obvious to those who knew her that she was referring to the monstrous strength she possessed. She continued listening and by the time the tale was done all of her ramen was gone and she was asking for another "I like your story. It's nice." she smiled at Kilk. Though it didn't often show she had a keen curiosity and she liked listening to other's stories.
Her eyes shifted to Raine as he spoke and a new bowl of ramen was placed in front of her. The brunette's eyes softened as his expression fell. She knew the stories, and she had heard it straight from Kukaku herself. In an attempt to move the topic to a happier subject she started speaking again "Really? I think it was rather interesting with all the stories Kukaku told me. Let's see which one should I start with? Oh yes there was that time you blew up the house with fireworks. Do tell." there was a hint of mischief in her eyes as she smiled at him. If you ever try to harm my friends then I will rip you apart!

◊Squad 13 Captain, Kilk Nagara◊ "Thank you Ruka. I appreciate it." He laughed a bit as he saw that she was already done. Either it was a really long story or she was a quick eater. He began to drink his water now just to clear his throat. Picking up on what Ruka was trying to do he decided to go along with it. "Oh that sounds like fun! Let me hear the details! Trying to impress a girl? Maybe you were pissed off! What made you commit the act?" He then was halfway done with his water now. His hands resting on his lap as he awaited the story.

"You messin' with a Shiba?" "Oh... That story..." Raine smiled nervously as he rubbed the back of his neck... "As I often do, I was attempting to pull a prank on Oba-sama... ((aunt in japanese, reference to Kukaku)) I attempted to set off a few of the fireworks to startle her... but it kind of... malfunctioned and I ended up blowing up a lot more fireworks than I had originally planned... and then there was the manor damage expenses..." Raine laughed nervously once again as he looked to both Captains... "Er... I'd rather not get into details about the house... I ended up nearly losing half of my body that day... That was also the first night I stayed in the Shinigami assigned barracks. I really thought it would be a bad idea if I slept home that night... would have woken up with all my hair shaven off or something... But I did help repair the manor." He finished with a smile, despite his embarrassment of his description of the story. "You're asking for a sh*tload a' trouble!" Overpowering darkness... Bringing the light... The Shiba boy... Puts up a hell of a fight!

Let me make myself perfectly clear... Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka (who by this time had finished nine more bowls of ramen) burst out laughing at the stories end. "Y-you-" she choked out around her laughter as it made her stutter "You tried to p-play a prank on Kukaku?!" she dissolved into a fit of giggle once more before she finally settled down. There was a wide grin on her face as she wiped away a tear "Geez... I'd say that I can't believe it but then I'd be lying."
Shaking her head slightly she looked around "Are you guys done? Do you want anymore? How come you didn't eat Kilk?" She wanted to make sure the two had had their fill before she headed out. She didn't know if they wanted to accompany her but she was going to ask eventually. If you ever try to harm my friends then I will rip you apart!

◊Squad 13 Captain, Kilk Nagara◊ He let out a chuckle as he heard the end of the story. He didn't know who Kukaku was so he did not get the full affect. "Well that sounds careless, did she beat you up afterwards, or did you run too quickly for her to do that? Did she end up startled? Maybe she wasn't phased at all?"He then stood up after listening to Ruka's question. "I am actually all done, and the reason I did not eat was because I was not feeling too hungry. i am not a huge eater, it is probably why I am so small!" He knew he was small because he was still young, he just had to say it for fun. "So where are we going next?" He knew he was practically inviting himself in, but he did not want to leave them. This was interesting! "Oh right, we better pay the bill! Almost forgot." He reached into his sleeve and pulled out some money. It was enough to cover everyone as placed it on the table.

"You messin' with a Shiba?" Raine half-smiled "Yeah... I've always been a bit reckless when it comes to pranks... " He recalled the several times he had attempted, yet failed, to pull pranks on his Captain. Only few times were they actually successful. Raine chuckled as he returned to his ramen, taking his last few bites before emptying his bowl. He looked to his Captain, who seemingly devoured at least ten bowls of ramen... How does she do that?...
"No, actually." He responded again to Nagara-Taicho. "I actually made it out alive... I am unsure if you have heard of my Oba's temper... as well as her physical strength.. They are two traits I am so sad she has experience in..." An image of her slipped into his mind... Kukaku's always been loving, a wonderful Oba... Just a little too strong when she's mad... She is definitely someone who believes in the term 'tough love'.
He set aside the bowl of ramen and laughed at the Captain's joke. At the sight of Kilk placing money on the table, Raine felt a streak of generosity flow through him as he reached to pull out his own money... "Do not worry about it Nagara-Taicho. I appreciate your offer, but if you remember we were the ones that treated you. I'll cover the expenses..." He said with a kind smile to the Captain.
"You're asking for a sh*tload a' trouble!" Overpowering darkness... Bringing the light... The Shiba boy... Puts up a hell of a fight!
Behind his smile, lies a beast... Think he'll ever give up? Not in the least!((Kilk so you know Kukaku is an actual character in the show, you can look her up in Bleach Wiki XD))

Let me make myself perfectly clear... Ruka Kusabana Captain of Squad 9 Ruka smiled "Alright then." She snickered softly at the mention of Kukaku's reaction. Before she finally moved to stop both of them "I'll not have a word of it. We invited you Kilk so I won't allow it. Raine, I suggested coming out to Rukongai so I also won't allow it. Not a word of complaint understand? Besides..." she placed the money down on the counter and the waiter took it before returning with several bowl shaped containers. The brunette accepted them with a smile before she turned to walk out "I was gonna buy something else ya see." she laughed.
She ducked under the cloth and stood in the Rukongai sunlight shining down overhead. The brunette took a deep breath as she balanced the containers easily in her arms I love this place. she turned back to the two still inside "I'm off somewhere in Rukongai. Would you like to accompany me?" she asked with a smile.[color If you ever try to harm my friends then I will rip you apart!

◊Squad 13 Captain, Kilk Nagara◊ "Actually I don't thing I have ever met this Kukaku person, but it sounds like a good thing that I haven't. Otherwise I may get ripped apart! Which is not in my book of plans. But I am sure those tricks were worth it right? I mean who would commit a trick without being aware of the full consequences?"He then didn't dare speak after she made up her mind. He withdrew his money back to his sleeve as he followed her out of the cloth. The sunlight was blinding, but the breeze felt nice. His hands were placed behind his head in a comforting position as he yawned while staring at her. "Sure, I would love to accompany you. Raine, you are coming too right?"
