"It has progressed beyond mere mortality and is a divine artifact beholden to my will, mortal. You cannot harm it. But know this, I can in fact harm you, and I shall."

He actually let a growl escape him. Was she daring to threaten him bodily harm? He was in many ways one to act like the dog his coat pattern resembled and like most animals, you bug an injured one long enough and even a sweet tempered loyal dog will turn and bite it's mistress. Still he wanted nothing more than to get away from this confounded mare and return to the peace of his herd. "Be off with you, I'm not in the mood to be badgered by you or your mirror. Go..... dig a ditch and bury yourself for you seem to Adore the dirt so much."

"That has already been done, child. I have had my trial by loam and fire, I have dug myself free, as you have, and when I emerged, I was as you see me now, a Goddess. You should also have grown in strength from your ordeal. Perhaps you have and the way has not yet become manifest, this is possible. Perhaps, as well, however, your belief, your faith in me was not strong enough, and that blocked you from your true potential. If you do not feel stronger, I may be inclined to allow you to try again, once you have begged forgiveness," Mary offered reasonably.

He actually laughed. Broke out into heaving gasps and chortles he couldn't keep under control. This bird was delusional. "Goddess? Pffft You actually believe yourself a goddess? Wow you're loonier than I thought... that's a real good one.. believed in you.. I don't even know who the heck you are wench but this can been an irritating and amusing meeting... I'm taking my leave I'd advise you NOT to follow me.." With that, he entered the tree line and was gone from sight though is snickers could be heard fading as he continued to walk away.

Fury filled Mary at that. Another one on her list. Another that when she rose in power she would enact her vengeance upon. She offered him the greatest of gifts, and he laughed in her face. He would see. Him, those feathered freaks, and the fool who blathered on about Divinity. Yes, when her power grew they would all pay. Every. Last. One.
