Seeing that Mau took the window, Panther took the chair. As he sat he had a sense of familiarity. It was like, the chair had conformed to his butt. He frowned to himself a little, thinking he might have been here a little too often.
"I take it you were in the raid too then?" he glanced at Mau, thinking that perhaps he should have taken the chair, but didn't argue it.

Cal nodded slowly, taking Mau's information in. "I would have visited you, but they won't let me out." And she had been out for a while before she even asked. She watched as Panther and Mau took their seats, wondering why Mau had chosen to sit in the window when she address Panther's question.
"Oh, he was there!" It was like she had forgotten, "He was dancing with Nyx and almost ran into me by the champagne." She giggle for a bit, "Champagne is gross! I don't like it. It made me feel all weird." A bit like how she felt now. He face scrunched up in disgust. "Did you drink it Panther? I think there was something wrong with it." She continued to smile, putting a hand to her head as she spoke.

He wouldn't admit that he hadn't... really taken notice of Cal. He recalled getting champagne but it was a sea of faceless people, and the dragonair. "You shouldn't be drinking." Mau said sternly. Though saying so made him feel like he might actually be Cal's father. Though, if she had gotten drunk, she may have not felt her injuries too much. Mau sort of wished he'd had more to drink.
He shook his head some. "Indeed, I was on the raid."

"More like she needs to be more careful what she picks up. " he nodded to Mau and then turned to look at Cal sighing. "And no Cal, I was on the floor with our target the whole time remember? I didn't get to do much else." she had been there, watching. He was pretty sure it was the drugs causing her confusion, still it would possibly benefit Mau to know. "I was still with her when that explosion happened. I'm not entirely sure why I wasn't hit too." Even though it had dimmed he still felt a sense of regret because Cal was hurt and he wasn't.

"I didn't know it was champagne..." She pouted, trying, and failing, to cross her arms. "I don't drink." Her eye narrowed, "I don't like it one bit." She looked over to Panther, pointing to him with the growlith plush. "Did you know he saved me?" Her faced looked very serious for her state, "I don't really 'member right now, but he help me!" She smiled, "He's a good dancer too." She added rather fond of his dancing skills. She turned to Panther, "Are you going to keep your promise?" She turned her body back to Mau and tried to whisper to him, only to sound as if she was trying to have Panther overhear. "I can't really dance!" She giggled into the plush with a smirk.

Mau blinked at Cal a couple times before he had to lower his head and glance to the side. A choked chuckle escaped his lips before he schooled his expression. "M.... maybe Panther can teach you." Cal was loopy, it had to be the pain killers. He recalled just how out of it Nyx had been after the charizard attack. Cal was sort of acting like that, with less giggling.

Was he laughing at him? If it wasn't him, it was Cal who clearly was a bit out of it maybe it was a bit funny. He sighed and glanced back at Cal, "I'm not that great. Best I can promise is that I don't step on your toes. And yeah, I'll still take you out to dance." He wasn't that great, he had just faked it the best he could. He probably couldn't teach her much. He had about as many lesson as she had, plus a few from his college days. To bad school dances rarely had occasion for him to use them, the dancing was often more new age. Cal was beginning to worrying him a bit, how much of the drug had they put into her? "Are you feeling ok?"

She looked from Mau to Panther for a few moments before raising an excited hand in the air. "I can't wait!" Her excitement was almost too hard to contain, until a wave of pain hit her. She shrank back looking to Panther. "I'm fine, I'm just..." Her high was wearing off. "I'm getting sleepy." A great yawn escaped her lips, making her eye water. She rubbed it gently before ruffling her already messy hair.

"Perhaps you should get some rest then." Mau said, standing up again and moving beside the bed. He leaned over her and gently touched her cheek. "You have to hurry up and get well, alright?" He smiled at her. "I'll visit you more, ok?"

Taking Mau's cue, Panther also stood. He wasn't sure how he felt about the way Mau touched her cheek. "Yeah, I'll be back too. You get some more rest Cal." He turned away before Mau could see the frown that was planting itself on his face. He lead the way out, letting Call rest.
