His ears drooped. This was getting ridiculous. He was going to go find his sisters and tell them to teach this stupid know-it-all a lesson. Jeez! Of course rabbits existed when you couldn't smell them. But why did anybody care? What good was it doing hiding in a bush someplace when you could find some other rabbit that you could...argh! She was still talking.
"Oh." He mulled this over for a moment. "....How does it work?"

Oracle opened her mouth to answer his question but snapped it shut as her sister started howling beside her. Her head snapped about to stare at the ethereal wolf, an annoyed look in her eyes. "You cannot tell him, he is not to know." Sadly Arima was for the most part right, there was no real reason to explain it to the male as he would have little to no interactions with any of the sisters while they went on hunts. Still she hated not answering questions. Slowly her gaze returned to the other pups. "I can't tell you that." And then to make sure he didn't question why she continued. "I don't know exactly how it works. Perhaps your mother would know, she had likely gone on hunts before. You're father wouldn't however." Oracle may not know who this pups father was but if he was a slave in the pack then he was not privy to such information anyways or at least shouldn't be.

"...okay," he said, now really confused. How could she not know? If it was so important and she knew everything about everything else...whatever. She was probably just trying to hold information over his head. What can you expect from a know-it-all.
Casting about for a change of subject, he said, "My mama's the pack's nanny." He sounded quite proud of that. "She's important, too."

Nodding her head slowly, Oracle wasn't exactly convinced that nanny was an important role in the pack. All she did was watch pups, how was that important? Oracle didn't go to the nanny, so clearly in her mind the nanny must not be good at her job. Perhaps she would ask her mother about the nanny once she was back in the den. Speaking of getting back to the den, Oracle thought it was best to not press her luck much more, who knows what trouble she would get in if mother found her gone. Hopefully her siblings wouldn't tattle on her either.
"We have to go." She stated suddenly and gave her body a bit of a shake. In her ear Oracle could head her sister berating her for using the term 'we' instead of 'I' but Oracle ignored her with a slight shake of her head. Turning the grey pup padded off, her sisters spirit following closely behind.

The look in his eyes said 'say something about my mama, I dare you', but she didn't, and he relaxed a little. He wasn't sure what he would've done if he'd had to defend his mother's honor, anyway. He was already not nearly as good at wrestling as his sisters. Although this weird grey pup seemed like she might be kind of....he, where was she going?!
"Um...bye, then," he said. blinking at her. We? What we?
He glanced around himself again, thoroughly confounded, and then watched her leave. What a strange puppy.
Confused, but a little relieved to be done with that awkward conversation, he shrugged and headed off towards his own den. Maybe his sisters could make heads or tails of all this...
