Ryan thought for a moment, putting his hand on his chin as he thought. "Well, I'm not too familiar with the area myself. I just arrived yesterday. But we can use one trick that I've used before." Ryan closed his eyes as he activated his Ki Sense. He then looked south towards the forest. "Well, there are plenty of wild animals that way. I'm also guessing a river or lake too, considering some ki sources were under ground level. What do you say about it? Want to take that route?" Ryan, for one, wasn't a picky eater. he just didn't want to have to wait long to eat something.

Majin Bubbles
Bubbles thought for a second, hunting would be easy but sometimes the meet was dry, he shrugged, he didn't really like dry meat, though he did have the Chocolate Beam, it could be used to make a good sauce that could go with it. "Yeah, hunting that way would be good." He said drawing his Sword, which once belonged to a great 'hero', out of the sheath and looked at it checking there was no oil or anything from his recent fight. "Lets go!" He said firing into the sky in the direction now focusing on the energy of the animals.

Ryan awoke in a cold sweat, a slight yell escaping as he bolted upwards. He felt like he had been out for quite some time. The last thing he remembered was going hunting, and feeling weak as he flew. As if he had been given a huge amount of weight to carry around as he traveled. After that, everything was blurry, the wind rushing at his back as if he were falling, an intense burning as if he were on fire, and feeling like he had been carried back to somewhere. The thing of it was, where was here?

Ryan threw the covers off of him and to the side, the sweat pouring down his face and soaking his clothes. If he had to guess, he had been sick. Extremely so. As to with what or how long he had been out, that was another question. Another question entirely. The weary human clambered to his feet and walked over to the door. It was night, and cloudy as well, so he couldn't see much around him, but he did recognize a few of the structures and landscaping around. He was at the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School. That was a slight relief to his confusion. He heaved a sigh of relief as he turned back towards the room he was currently in. It looked as if it were an infirmary of sorts, but made so only for one person. Ryan would only guess at it that it was him who this small infirmary was for. He shook his head as he wiped the sweat from his brow, and walked over to a duffle bag to the side. It held his normal clothes in it. He was in some sort of sweat suit, probably to sweat the disease out, whatever it was that he had. A shower was in order before he changed, or a dip in the hot spring outside. The hot spring sounded like the prime plan. He just felt like sitting down and relaxing, as if he had been constantly working out for the whole time he was out. He grabbed a clean towel from a rack nearby, a bar of soap and rag from the nearby table, and headed outside towards the hot spring. He needed a bath, desperately. He could smell himself, and it wasn't appealing. He ditched the clothes in the laundry basket by the hot spring and then walked in, placing the towel to the side and taking the washrag and soap with him.

The water felt refreshing as it washed over his body. It had been a while. He needed this, badly. Even though it was early morning, it was still warm enough outside for this. It was still warm outside, at least. Ryan took no time in waiting to bathe himself. Soon, he smelled squeaky clean. Now all he had to do was get back and get dressed. He had training to do, but the water was so relaxing, so inviting, and just all around comfortable in general. He couldn't help but to lean back and just stretch out and relax. "I think I'll sit here just for a few minutes. Feels like I haven't had the time to relax in ages." A slight chuckle escaped his lips as he relaxed his muscles. The sky had begun to clear up to show the starry night and moon off in the distance. "Heh, you can't see a sky like this in the city. It's only out here, away from all of the artificial lights and towering buildings that you can finally see the night for what it truly is. Bee, ee, ay, youtiful." It wasn't long before Ryan finally decided to climb out and dry himself off. He had to admit, he was already feeling a whole lot better than he was just half an hour ago.

After he wrapped the towel around himself he hovered close to the ground back to his room, as he forgot a pair of sandals to take with him. He didn't need to be getting dirt stuck to his feet after just taking a bath. That wasn't only unsanitary, but it would have made the bathing session a moot point. He was lucky nobody was awake to see him like this. It would be just a wee bit embarrassing.

Upon arriving at his current quarters, Ryan entered and landed on the floor. The hard wood floors were a little bit cold, but it wasn't that bad. Ryan walked over to his bag and began dressing himself as he pulled his clothes from the baggage. Everything was there. That was good. They had even been washed too. Someone had taken some meticulous care of him, and that was kind of creepy to him, but that was beside the point. Ryan finished dressing himself and then looked around. The most important item he owned. Where was his Gunblade? He didn't see it right off the bat. This worried him. It was handed down from his father. He couldn't lose it. Not now. He had so much more he needed to do. "Think, Ryan, think!" He was flying. Going for some food. Something had to click. He still had it then. Wait. He was with Bubbles. Bubbles may have it, he may be keeping it safe for him. Yeah, that might be it. But what if someone was able to get it from him? "s**t."

Ryan's train of thought was paused by the door opening. In walked Ryan's uncle, the Gunblade at his side. "I was wondering when that medicine would do its job. It's good to see you awake." He walked over and put a hand on Ryan's shoulder.

"Give me my Gunblade." Ryan's eyes were narrow. He always had a feeling the so called 'honor battle' between his father and uncle was always over the Gunblade. Ryan's father had been handed it down from his father before him, Ryan's grandfather. It was a choice between his father and uncle, and Ryan's father eventually won.

"Oh, your Gunblade you say? Well, I'd say you owe me. I nursed you back to health and even did your laundry for you. I figured you owe me. And seeing as how you don't have any Zeni, this will have to suffice."

"You b*****d, you're supposed to be a Master here!" Ryan swung towards his uncle, but the older man had been expecting Ryan's right hook, and insdead sent a straight punch straight into Ryan's gut, forcing the teenager to grab at his abdomen and fall to his knees after stumbling back for a couple of steps. "Tch...honor battle my a**...it was always a grudge against my father, wasn't it? You took a father away from his child just over a grudge..."

"Yeah, I suppose you would be right in saying that. I even found out that dad had died before my brother knew. I challenged him before then, or else he wouldn't have accepted the honor battle. It was the only way I could get my revenge at always being second tier to my brother. I was never his equal in dad's eyes! He always put me second!" Ryan's Uncle turned to leave and began walking his way towards the door. "And before you say anything, no. I feel no remorse about what I did, or betraying my own flesh and blood. After all, you owe me. If it weren't for me, you would have had the Viral Heart Disease get the better of you. I have no idea how you had contracted it, but you did. Very rare disease nowadays. You're just lucky I knew the right person to go to to get the antidote from. It saved your life. Or else you would have been dead a month ago when your Majin friend brought you to me." He walked out and shut the door behind him.

Ryan now knew what he must do, and he had to do it sooner rather than later. That Gunblade was his. His only chance was to finish his training here and challenge his Uncle to an honor battle of his own. And then came the hardest part. He had to win. And he would have to use his knowledge of his family's battle techniques against his Uncle. It was time to go unorthodox. No swords would be used by Ryan. It would be a brawl for him. Against the very weapon he had relied on since his father had died.

Satisfied with his work at West City Academy, Zehl struck off to find a place where he could learn some swordplay. After a bit of looking around, he managed to find some information about a school and training center with some name he found hard to pronounce. On the plus side, the directions were fairly straightforward, so there was no chance of getting lost.

It took a bit of walking and travel, but he eventually found the sword school. As he wandered in, he judged that the place was more for people using a sword more like a katana than the much simpler broadsword that he carried, but Zehl figured that he could still learn a thing or two from this place. "Now then... Where is everyone?" he asked no one in particular as he began to have a look through the place to see if anyone else happened to be up and about.

As soon as Ryan had recovered from the blow to his stomach, he collected his thoughts and calmed himself. He had to complete his training as soon as possible, but still be able to retain all of the techniques he would be taught. He would need everything his father had taught him about honor, and his master at the West City Academy had taught him about fighting opponents of unknown strength and technique, and what his Uncle had taught him of the moves here. The addition of what his current master here at the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School would teach him would have to be the final key in reclaiming what was rightfully his, the Gunblade he held so close.

With his thoughts collected and his mind and body calm, Ryan walked out into the now early morning. The sun was rising off to the East, giving off a warm glow of life, the wind was blowing up from the South, bringing a warm breeze to give breath to the life the sun gave. The night escaped to the West, giving body to the sky for the breath and life to take hold, and the North lay a vast mountainous expanse, which was the foundation of the life of today. It would begin for Ryan soon. And soon, he would have to reclaim his father's Honor, and reclaim it he shall.

Zehl spotted someone exiting the main portion of the school. The other person seemed oddly focused on somewhere to the north. He turned to give a glance in that direction before turning back around to focus on the school again. He gave a wave and said, "Hello. I take it this is the sword school Kiko...Kikojen-something or other, right?"

Judging from the sword strapped to his back, he was probably there to learn. "Someone pointed me in this direction when they saw that I was carrying a sword. So... Where exactly is everyone?" He would be greatly surprised if this was the only other person present, particularly if he was just a student as well.

She had no idea where to start! “…” Teila sort of looked around from just outside the compound… after all she was looking for a single person on an entire planet and her sensory abilities were meek at best, she herself was just as weak but perhaps that’s where she had to begin; getting stronger. After all she was just a child compared to her older sister… but how did she go about training… she was only just newly born from the labs and despite all the knowledge they gave her she didn’t know a lick about some things how to train herself was one of those things. She stared off into space for the longest time and then she seemed to snap back to reality. ”Oomph! Don’t give up!” She said to herself giving her cheeks a few encouraging smacks and she floated up and away from the lab not in too great a hurry after all this was the first time she’d ever flown before she didn’t want to mess it up and go crashing down or anything. She flew and flew and flew for what seemed like hours scenery floating past her whimsically as she would ooh and ah at it amazed by the beauty of the world she spotted a small town and descended it was about five feet from the ground that she realized she wasn’t exactly sure how to land… “Ah!” She would scream as she almost collided with the ground swerving back up at the last second and inadvertently sweeping through someone’s back yard and then into some hanging clothing and through a fence and part of someone’s house and then onto the street into a car and then finally crashing through the front window of a dojo in a sobbing pile of completely undamaged Saiyan, thoroughly damaged sheets and the wash line, crushed rock, some more of that rock pulverized into dust, shattered glass, a rather unhappy cat that was sleeping on top of the car and sunning itself in the warm afternoon rays, and the Sensei of the dojo who was looking out the window to see what the ruckus was about.

Teila let out a pitiful little whine as her eyes began to well up with fresh tears, mostly because she was still scared, plus all tangled up, bumped, scrapped, and bruised by her misadventure in landing from flight, her sobs continued for awhile as the students sought to their master, and extracting the cat from the tangled mess, Teila struggled a little against her makeshift bindings and let out another whining cry as she was still tangled up in this deathtrap of cloth, glass, and rock. Finally after what seemed like an eternity she felt strong hands grab at her and hoist her up, on this action much of the stone and glass fell away out of the bottom of the sheets that entangled her, they were kind enough to help her away from the rubble and she whimpers as they tried to get her loose as more and more of the town folk started to follow the trail to the end of the wreckage. Once free of her bonds she just sat there trying to dry her tears up with the dusty sheets and whatnot something that prompted several of the young men from the dojo to offer her handkerchiefs which she tentatively accepted she dried her eyes lower lip still quivering slightly as if she’d start crying again at the drop of a hat, Suddenly she went rigid with an expression of shock on her face and a gargled shriek barely passed her lips as one of the people inadvertently stepped on her tail sending a paralyzing wave of pain through her body, this was swiftly rectified and she started bawling again only too many people trying to comfort her this time.

Shakily Teila stood drying her eyes once more and bent over into a crouch and started to pick up the glass and rocks with her hands at great sudden distress to the people around her and soon she was set straight with a room and dustpan. She tilted her head at them looking at them queerly as it became obvious she had no idea what to do with them they were astonished that a girl of her age didn’t know about such things and as she tried to explain the situation they got it into their heads that she had amnesia. And so they taught her… they taught her a lot of this, cooking, cleaning, home repair, and soon she was a fully functioning cleaning machine, she only stayed in the village a month but she left with a wealth of knowledge.

(I will count this later. On my phone.)

Ryan turned to face the newcomer that had addressed him. He was young, much like Ryan himself, and yet that was probably only one of a few similarities between the two. "It's the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School. And its still quite early, so most peolle aren't up yet. Class doesn't officially start for another two hours." Ryan walked over and held out his hand. "Name's Greyson. Ryan Greyson. I'm a student here as well. Although I should only be here for another day or two after today, I could point ya in the right direction if you wanted." It was comforting to know Ryan wasn't the only person up this early.

"Ah! Well, any help you are willing to give, I'd be thankful to get." The young man placed his hands behind his head and stretched a bit with a yawn. "I've been looking around for this place for quite a while. Though to tell the truth, I don't know what I might learn from here. This place looks more like it would be used by someone with a katana type sword and not mine." It was pretty easy to tell what he meant when one spotted the cross-bar shaped handle sticking out over his shoulder and the other end of the scabbard which stuck out from behind his leg on the other side of his body.

"I guess if you could point me in the right direction to wherever I should go, that will do. Oh, and if you need anything or any kind of help in return, my name is Zehl." He shook Ryan's hand when he finished stretching to work out a bit of tiredness from the early morning.

"Katanas, eh? I don't use a Katana. Ever heard of a Gunblade? Everything you learn here is useful for every sword you can imagine. Trust me, you're in the right place." Ryan stretched a bit and turned towards the dojos. The one on the left there is for Trunks's techniques. The right is Goten's. I'm actually headed that way now. I have to finish learning so I can go settle a score."

"Nope... Well, unless you count sticking a bayonet on the end of a rifle," Zehl replied. "And I guess for the sake of simply getting started, I'll just follow you to wherever you are headed to train. Have to start somewhere... Ya know?" He chuckled a bit and scratched the side of his head a bit.

"Still, a gunblade... Sounds like kind of a strange hard to use sort of thing. I like mine. Lets me kind of make some stuff up as I go." Zehl had some ideas already in his head for some special things he could do based on what he knew about how broadswords were often used in the past coupled with what he had learned at that other schooling place before finding his way to this one.

Ryan puts his hands behind his head and leans back a bit as he thinks. He should probably explain which techniques are at which dojo. "Well, I guess I should probably tell you which techniques you could learn at each, in case you're only looking for a specific style. With Trunks's techniques, the style is more about just that. Technique. It's about flowing your moves together in combat, and having a contingency if an attack fails or misses. On the other hand, Goten's techniques are the exact opposite. You will find more brute strength and all around overbearing attacks Both have moves and styles for unarmed combat as well, but not very many. Most of the techniques here are based on the user having a sword to wield. And trust me, your sword is perfect for Goten's techniques. It's sturdy, and you can stab with it as well. Katanas can not stab whatsoever. Consider that a plus, my friend. A plus indeed." Ryan thought for a moment longer. "The Gunblade is an awkward and difficult weapon for someone who has never used it before. It takes training and practice to be able to use it deftly and professionally. My father taught me from a young age in the ways of how to properly handle and wield a Gunblade. The thing that gets people the most is the angle of the blade from the hilt. They're too used to straight or mostly straight blades, and they can't, or rather won't let themselves, adjust to the way the weight sits in their hands. But hey, I started off with it, so I prefer it over other swords such as katanas or your broadsword there."

Ryan turned back towards the two dojos and began walking his way to the one on the right. Goten The Wandering Warrior. "Follow me, Zehl." It was pretty fitting. Ryan had wandered and learned what he could before he went to the West City Academy to finally train. It was only fitting that Ryan finished his training here at the Kikoukenjutsu Sword School with the teachings of Goten the Wandering Warrior.

It was a short walk from where the two were standing, and once inside, Ryan was immediately called over by an older teacher. "Greyson! Over here. We have much to discuss."

Ryan turned quickly to Zehl and smirked. "I think this is about a personal issue I have. Feel free to partake in whatever training exercises you can while you wait. They like to see ya working at your training." Ryan then turned back towards the teacher and nodded. "What can I do for you, Master?"

"Greyson. I know of what had transpired in the month since you fell ill. I know of your Uncle's betrayal of your Father and Family, and now his betrayal to you yourself. Before you ask, I overheard the conversation the two of you exchanged while you were in your room. He has what rightfully belongs to you, and you want it back. Allow me to continue your training and help you complete it. For I, at least, understand the meaning of honor.

Ryan couldn't help but to let a smirk cross his lips. He nodded and stood proudly. "Yes, Master."

The teacher hit Ryan upon the head with his fore and middle fingers in a chopping motion, moreso to get his attention than anything. "Call me what you called my cousin back at the West City Academy."

Ryan stood there, dumbfounded for a quick second, and then a cocky grin crossed his face. "You got it, old man!"

The Old Man smiled and held out a replica Gunblade for Ryan to train with. "It's nowhere near yours, but it will do for training purposes. If you break it, which you very well may, then don't worry about it. It's not meant to be used for battle, just for training. How about we get to it!"

Ryan nodded and held the Gunblade Replica in his hands. It felt off. Very minute changes made it a completely different kind of weapon, that was for sure.

"This way, boy. We need the full stretch of open that the open air offers us. Out back, we have a sparring area and training area that we will use. Moreso the training area. No need for actual opponents in most of the training. First, we have Tekken. This, I believe, you already know of. Tekken is the art of beating the hell out of your opponent without worrying about strategy. All that you concentrate on is the attacks at hand. Pure strength. After that is the Single Finger Flick. The execution is just as the attack sounds. You pour your strength and ki into your forefinger and flick the enemy. Anywhere has a great effect, but center mass is always best. This technique may knock them back and also cause bleeding from the area that has been hit. These two techniques, as you can tell, do not require the use of a sword, and are more so, in my opinion, for if you are caught off guard, and without your sword by your side. They may, of course, also be used in conjuncture with your sword as well. We will concentrate on these two techniques before we move onto the ones that do involve swordplay. Is that understood?"

Ryan made no hesitation in nodding. He felt like he was back with his old teacher at the West City Academy. "You got it, Old Man." Ryan followed the Old Man out and into the training area behind the dojo. Wooden dummies stood in a random spacing in some spots, and in actual formations in others. They were likely for testing out multiple scenarios. "So, let me guess. You want me to beat the hell out of these training dummies, right? That's basically what Tekken is."

"I don't just want you to beat the hell out of it, I want you to decimate it. Destroy it. Obliterate the b*****d. You need to be able to destroy these dummies piece by piece with your blows. Whether it be a punch or kick, you need to always be able to deliver a staggering blow that would leave any normal man unconscious. To beat the opponent back with overwhelming strength, this is Tekken. Now, do you think you can do this, to actually get all of this training done within today?

"We have all day, Old Man. The morning is still young and you're talking to someone who has trained since he can remember. I will not only complete my training. I will complete it today, and I will master it!" Ryan threw the Gunblade Replica to the side and rushed at a dummy, the punches and kicks that Ryan delivered being backed by the ki necessary to make Tekken possible. It was a rather ki intensive technique, but it was worth it. At first, Ryan was taking multiple hits to damage a training dummy. But over time, the young swordsman kept using less and less blows to finish off his wooden enemy. It was all a matter of technique for a move that didn't have technique. He had to discover the best way for he himself to use Tekken. It was the foundation of the way Ryan learned. He had to discover the best way for him to use and execute the techniques he learned. Ryan lept from wooden dummy to wooden dummy as he continued his assault until he was finally blowing the dummies away with one punch or kick. This went on for a few more training dummies before the Old Man ceased the training.

"Enough! Now you must concentrate on the Single Finger Flick. I will reiterate it again just in case you forgot what it was while you were busy obliterating those defenseless dummies." The Old Man walked closer so he could demonstrate the Single Finger Flick himself. "Now, the Single Finger Flick is a technique that utilizes the users strength and ki in one finger. The user pours his strength and key into one finger, usually the forefinger, and..." The Old Man flicked the training dummy next to Ryan and it exploded into a fragmentation of wooden splinters towards the back. "...flicks the enemy with tremendous force. This technique will hurt if you do not perform it correctly. After all, you are flicking a solid maple training dummy. They are extremely sturdy Great for training techniques like Tekken and Single Finger Flick. Now, your turn."
