Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Like some of the others, Silva also sensed the three horrific power levels. Even though his senses weren't as strong yet he could still feel it. Not the smartest thing to have left his scouter back in his room at a time like this. As he was chatting with Jalen there seemed to be a commotion coming from inside the school. With a flick of his tail he motioned the blue haired boy to follow (if he wished to). "My whiskers tell me there's trouble... Let's check it out," he suggested. Shortening his power pole he slipped it back into its sheath, then dropped down onto all fours and scampered back inside.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The feline quickly ran through the hallways to where most of the talking was coming from. A strange broadcast was being re-played of three Namekians arriving in Central City. He skidded to a sudden stop, a sudden look of shock on his face with wide eyes in disbelief. "No... not... not Central City!" Of course the city streets were not the most luxuries to grow up. But it was still home. And whoever these visitors were sounded like they meant business.
There was no time to waste as Silva scampered back outside, anxiously looking around as he ran. He wish that his visit with Jalen hadn't been interupted. Perhaps the blue haired boy would like to train with him and get stronger to show the Namekian trio that no one messes around with earthlings (no matter what being or heritage). Looking up he found Chiaotzu nearby. "Master Chiaotzu!" the feline shouted out anxiously and pawed over to the telepathy master. "Did you hear? There's some weirdoes on the rampage in my hometown. I have to go! Please let me fight them!" he pleaded.
Chiaotzu shook his head in disagreement to that request. "No, you're not ready yet. There's still some training you must complete before I recommend you go off fighting." "Please master!" Silva pleaded again. "It's your final choice whether you want to go. I can't stop you. I can only suggest that you train first so that you may stay alive to help others. Listen. I'll show you the Drill Attack and then you must find Master Tien for the next lesson. Follow me."
The feline obediently followed at a brisk pace, hopeing that he could make it up to Jalen later and get to know that boy better. Strolling across the training grounds they came to some thick wooden posts sticking up out of the ground. "The first technique I'll show you is Drill Attack. It involves a combination of rapid spinning and forward momentum into an opponent. Like this." The telepathy master moved so quick, spinning rapidly and then launching himself head-first into the wooden post directly in front of them. Silva watched in awe and bewilderment. Would he be able to do that? The force of the move nearly drilled the post in half. "If that was your opponent you'd be aiming for either the stomach or a weak point on their body." Hovering back over to Silva's side he repeated it two more times as a demonstration.
"Ok, seems easy enough." Easier said then done. The feline didn't know what he was up against even if this technique looked simple. "That's what you think." Trying to mimic Chiaotzu's movements and speed, he spun around and rushed at another wooden post. But instead of drilling into it he simply bumped his head and summersulted backwards to land on his rear. "Ow! That smarts!" His paws reached up to rub the sore spot between his ears. "Keep trying," Chiaotzu tried to encourage him and flew off to see to other students. Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Silva was determined to get this new technique right. Chiaotzu had made it look so easy yet he had to make a dent in the wooden pole. Standing upright on his hind legs his ears flattened back agains his head as his tail flickered from side to side. Eyes narrowing in glare he kept his jade eyes fixed on the wooden post. In the back of his mind he tried to visualize himself doing as much damage as the telepathy master had moments ago. I can do this! I just gotta-
Taking a deep breath he focused his concentration into the actions of the technique one step at a time. A whisp of a breeze blue through his fur as the feline suddenly went into a spinning motion once more. Though he wasn't as agile on two legs as he was on four. Around and around he spun until he picked up the pace to a rapid blurr. Without warning he pushed himself forward with his back legs and shot like a spinning bullet at the wooden post. As soon as his head made contact with the wood his spinning was taken off balance and he was tossed back from the recoil. "Arg!" Silva hissed as he felt himself land on his butt again on the ground a few feet back.
A hiss under his breath Silva got back up onto his hind legs and dusted himself off with a swipping action of his paws against his fur. "Damn it! Why can't I get this right? Is there a magic spell or something I'm not getting?" In a small burst of frustration he kicked aside a small pebble. From the corner of his eyes he quited down and watched as the pebble rolled across the ground. "Maybe..." An idea was starting to form in the back of his mind. The feline remained silent for a moment to calm down with a deep breath. Clearing his thoughts he wondered if he could make his idea work. Speed combined with a rotating motion seemed to be the key factors. And Chiaotzu wasn't the most physical fighter by means of physical strength. There had to be a way around this. He turned back to the wooden pole, this time dropping onto all four paws. A renewed determination was like a fire in his eyes. Starting with the rotation and then bursting with speed wasn't working well for him. Why not start with speed and then add the rotation? "Here I go!"
Silva took off and rushed at the wooden pole with a burst of speed. Then leaping foward he manuvered himself to spin rapidly like an oncomming gusty tornado. The instant his head made contact with the wood he felt his rotation intact for a few extra seconds more. And this time the recoil force wasn't as bad as he broke off the attack to plop down on the ground. Thud! He stopped to catch his breath while looking up to see the mark he left this time. Suddenly his eyes widened in surprise / shock to see that he actually left an deep indent and pieces of splinters scattered around the base of the pole. It wasn't nearly as destructive as Chiaotzu's, but it was a start. "I... I... I.. did it. I did it!" the feline cheered excitedly and thrusted his paw up over his head. With a small jump for joy he did the Drill Attack three more times to start getting a feel for the technique. Then in a blurr of gray he scampred across the training grounds looking for Tien, just as Chiaotzu instructed. Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Silva scampered about the training grounds looking for Tien without much luck. His paws lightly skimmed the ground as he turned about and headed back towards the school building. Perhaps it would be wise to check everywhere before getting overly flustered. A grumble under his breath he pawed over to a group of Crane students and asked if they had seen the master. One of them mentioned seeing Tien inside and pointed out in the direction the group came from. "Thanks," the feline bowed his head slightly and ran off in that given direction. It wasn't long before he bolted into the school and slowed town to a strolling pace. An idea suddenly came to mind that might make his search alot easier. "Why don't I just try to sense the highest ki around here? Who would be more stronger than the two masters?"
Closing his eyes he reached out with his senses to locate a powerful ki nearby. Pinpointing the location in the back of his mind he opened his eyes once more and ran through the hallways on all fours. Soon he came to a skidding stop in one of the vacant rooms where students temporarly rested while training. Silva stood up on hind legs and cautiously stepped into the room to find it dimly lit by candlelight. "Master Tien?" he spoke out quietly and looked to see Tien sitting in a meditative trance. Quiet as possible he tip-toed into the room and sat down on the floor across from the master. His front paw reached back to take hold of his power pole and pull it out of its sheath. Then placing the weapon down at his side he waited in silence. Not like before when he and Chiaotzu first sat outside like this.
A smile appeared on Tien's lips as he kept his eyes closed. "You must be Silva. Chiaotzu told me you'd be on your way. What can I do for you?" The feline thought for a moment as he had no idea why he was sent. "Master Chiaotzu requested that I come to you. For a lesson. I suspect there's something you know that might help with my training? Please?" he humbled himself knowing now there was much more to learn then he realized. The dim surroundings seemed peaceful somehow as his mind felt a little more at ease.
Tien opened his eyes after listening closely to Silva's explination. He gave a small nod and remained seated on the floor. "Yes, there is a technique that might get you connected more clearly with your mind. Have you ever heard of telepathy?" "You mean like reading minds?" Silva had only heard about such techniques of the mind. "Are you reading my mind?" he was beginning to get worried. The crane master gave a slight chuckle. "Don't worry. No, I'm not at the moment. It seems that you're more new at this then other students. Let's start by opening your senses to feel what it's like reaching to your inner mind." Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "How do we start?" Silva asked, starting to get anxious again about learning a new technique. He leaned forward and looked to Tien with that jade gaze as he waited in anticipation for his first instructions. "First you have to calm your mind. Meditate to clear your head and relax your physical self to release tension. Focus on the dim glow and warmth of a candle to start off. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Don't think of anything else but the candle flame. If you fall asleep I'll be here to wake you up."
"Fall asleep?" the feline asked a bit puzzled. Did people really fall asleep while meditating? "Alright, I'll try." Unsure if he could calm his mind he closed his eyes and began to take a few deep breaths. It took a moment or two just to get passed that stage. Focusing on a candle flame and nothing else his body appeared to relax more and slumped in his sitting posture. Tien kept an eye on him to make sure he didn't fall asleep. Seconds turned to minutes and it had almost been two hours to get Silva fully calm. The crane master spoke softly as to not disturb him in this trance yet tell him the next step of the lesson. "I'm going to place my hand on your head. Listen to my voice. Keep focused on the dim glow in your mind. There is nothing else but my voice and the glow... Nothing else.."
Silva could still hear Tien as an outside sound. A twitch of his ears he continued to do as he was told. "... But the sound of my voice." Suddenly it sounded as if the Crane master's voice was coming from inside his head rather than outside. In complete shock and bewilderment to this new, unfamiliar sense he suddenly snapped out of his trance with a gasp for air. "What the heck happened?! It was like-!" Widened eyes looked up as he tried to catch his breath. Without second thought Tien placed his hand on the feline's shoulder to try and calm him down. "Easy Silva, it's alright. Deep breath. Calm. Deep breath." Once that little scare was over they resumed the lesson. Repeating the steps it wasn't as frightning this time and soon the feline was getting used to the feeling of thought rather than verbally speaking.
"Good," the Crane master was pleased with the progress they were making. "Your senses seem toned in better, you speak to me now. Once again, clear your mind and reach out in the same way you've been listening to my voice. Only this time think of it as your words echoing in the background. If you have to, start by whispering outloud and let your mind grasp onto those words." Again the pair sat on the floor meditating with the dimness of the room surrounding them. Silva took a few deep breaths and allowed his anxious thoughts to disappear in a dark abyss. When he felt ready to try he leaned forward to rest his front paw on Tien's knee. First speaking in a whisper he turned his mind to his whispering voice and make the words a faint echo. "Master?... Master?..." A voice uncertain the feline attempted to reach out with telepathy and wait to see if he had successfully linked with Tien's mind. "Yes Silva?"
For some time both master and student continued to talk, but this time without uttering a word. Only with practice could this be successful. Unaware of how much time passed Silva learned about telepathy. Now for the next step of the lesson. The object of this exercise was to use telepathy at a distance. First they moved to opposite ends of the room. After a short while Tien stepped out of the room and the feline had to keep talking to him as he moved about the school. Stretching Silva's telepathy skills to the limit he realized that Tien's voice was becoming faint near the peremiter of the school grounds. However this proved to be a success as now he didn't have to speak outloud to communicate. Though he still had to close his eyes and put some extra effort into focusing his mind. A little more practice and it'll become as natural as breathing.
"Congradulations," the Crane master spoke into the feline's mind from outside the building. "Meet me in the east training grounds when you're ready." "Yes master," he gave a quick reply and broke the telepathic link. In one swift motion he picked up his power pole and placed it into the sheath on his back. Then pushing himself up onto his paws he found the candle where the dim glow was coming from and blew out the flickering flame. With a twitch of his ears and sway of his tail Silva scampered out of the room on all fours. Paws pounding against the floor he hurried out of the building, back outside to be greeted by the fresh air. Not wanting to keep Tien waiting he turned and ran in the direction of the east side training area where he was told to come. Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* The next surroundings for the lesson was a rocky landscape where Silva came running to and found Tien meditating on a large boulder. Slowing down he pawed over to the boulder and stood upright, his jade eyes looking up to Tien. "Forgive me master. I hope I'm not late," he gave a small bow and waited. The last lesson did work out in the end and he felt a little more control over his anxious self. Of course he wouldn't be able to achieve enlightment, but the earlier session of meditating felt as if it was putting him in alignment with his inner self. Kind of like finding a balance in the depths of his mind.
The Crane master leapt down from the boulder and landed on his feet at the feline's side. "No, your not late. I'm early. Are you ready to continue with your next lesson?" he asked a bit curiously. Expecting this pupil to be bouncing around with that firey spunk he was a bit surprised to see a more focused attitude. Silva gave a silent sigh of relief and nodded with a burst of energy. In a controlled manner this time though. "Yes, I'm ready." Or at least he felt ready to continue. Little did he know what was about to happen next.
"This next technique is called Four Witches Technique. You'll see why in a second," Tien could read the feline's expression before the question was even asked. "Listen well. In a fight it's not how big physically a fighter is. Size is not always the determining factor. It's how one uses their skills to best aid them in a fight. Just because you're smaller than some doesn't mean you can't be as skilled. What I'm about to show you will help with physical attacks. Watch." The Crane master powered up to demonstrate this next move. "Hah!" A few seconds later two extra arms grew out from Tien's back at the shoulder blades.
Silva backed up a bit to be suddenly freaked out by what he just saw. "What in hell-!?" His eyes widened in fright as that was the most bizarre thing he'd ever seen. Now he clued in to why it was called 'Four Witches Technique'. "I'm... I'm gonna grow extra arms? Is it permenant?" he asked to make sure that he wasn't going to look like a cat x caterpillar mix for the rest of his life.
"No it's not permenant," the Crane master shook his head as he tried to reasure the feline of this transformation trick. "It intensifies physical attributes of punches and attacks with your arms. Observe." He turned to face the boulder he'd been on only a moment ago. With a forceful shout he struck at the boulder with all four fists trusting out with punches. In mere seconds there were pieces of rock scattered all over the ground at their feet.
Silva couldn't believe his eyes! Growing two extra arms put that much more omph into the attack. He wasn't sure whether to remain freaked out of his mind or bewildered in amazement. "Think a little guy like me could do that?" he asked curiously though a bit unsure.
"Remember what I said," Tien spoke up. "A fighter's height and size doesn't always determine the victor of a battle. Let's see what you can do." Taking a deep breath he calmed his mind and surpressed his ki once more. The two extra arms shrunk back into his body as if not even existant. Then turning his attention to the feline he nodded, "now it's your turn. You'll need to power up for this move. Picture in your mind of having two arms grow out like a reptile growing out a new tail."
"Think like a lizard... ok." Silva remained standing upright and shifted into a fighting stance. Concentrating on his ki he began to power up. Flashbacks of Tien's demonstration flowed through his mind as he tried to see himself sprouting extra limbs. But these haunting images were hindering his progress. Trying again he didn't seem to be getting it. "What's wrong master?" he asked, a bit confused.
"You were scared when you first saw me do it. Perhaps that feeling is holding you back. Try again and this time we'll do it together." Tien wanted the feline to know there wasn't anything to be scared of. Again they went through the process as master and pupil put all their focus into getting this technique right. For some time they worked at this and had to get passed Silva's fear for it to work. He felt more at ease when he wasn't alone to do this. Finally at the last second he felt something squirm from under his shoulder blades as two more arms identical to his front arms / paws emerged. "Ah!" he let out a sudden yelp.
"It's ok Silva. You're not gonna die," Tien had to help calm him down once more. "Move around and get a feel for your arms. As a cat you already know what it's like to have extra limbs. Your tail for example." Letting this pupil regain his wits and catch his breath, they walked around the boulders. Silva was to reach out and touch the boulder with the two extra arms and learn how to be in control like with his ears and tail. "Now punch the rock with all four paws. You can do it. They're an extension of your body and will move as you think it with your mind."
The feline was still a bit creeped out. Yet not as much now that he's had Tien's guidence and supervision the entire time. Obediently he turned on his hind legs to face the boulder. Thinking to punch at it with his paws he lunged forward to strike the rock. This time the force behind his punches was greater than if he was only lunging with two paws. Not as much rock broke apart. Though there were cracks in the boulders' surface. "No way! I did that?"
"You did," the Crane master folded his arms across his chest and nodded proudly. "That's the power of this technique. Learn it well. Now calm your mind once more and surpress your ki." He watched as Silva did just that and the extra arms had receded back into his body. He did the same and that concluded this lesson. "Rest and we'll continue with your next session later." The pair bowed to each other respectively and then Tien left to attend to other students. Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Standing tall while trying to catch his breath, Silva remained at the rocky training area as he watched Tien disappear into the distance. Finally he let out a heafty sigh and plopped down to sit on the ground. "I didn't think... mind speaking and... growing a pair of arms could be.. this much work," he managed to gasp between breaths. For a few minutes he sat there thinking of what to do next. There was still some time before heading in to grab dinner. Why not train a little more? Once he got his wits about him, he stood back up and dusted his fur off with his front paws. "I gotta have a bath later. Maybe after dinner."
The feline knew he wouldn't be able to move forward in his training if he was going to be scared of the Four Witches Technique. It just didn't feel quite natural yet to have four front arms and two hind legs. "I-I gotta do. I have to practice with that trick." A shiver shot through his spine as he turned his attention back to the large size boulders. "Master Tien would want me to keep trying." It wasn't easy putting his fear aside. And if anything goes wrong... let's not go there.
Shifting into a fighting stance Silva focused on his ki as he glared at the boulder and tried not to think of that creepy feeling. "Hah!" Powering up he pushed what energy he could to the limit. A sweat drop fell down the side of his head while seeing a flashback of the last lesson haunt his mind. I'm not gonna let it scare me... I'm not gonna let it scare me.. I'm not gonna let it scare me... Silva had to try two times before he got the second pair of arms emerging out from his back.
Gasping for air he gave himself a second to regain his wits and move about with four front arms / paws. "Ugh." He held back a nausious feeling in the pit of his stomach. Just a little more practice, then rest. With a few words of encourgement he stepped towards the boulder. In a fury of fists the feline sneered at the large rock and began to pound on it with punch after punch. Under the impact it cracked and broke apart small shards at his feet. This continued on for a while as he started to feel wozzy. But he wasn't going to stop just yet. Concluding with the punches Silva got beside a smaller boulder and leaned against it with all four front arms. Sheer determination (or subborness) he proceed to push the boulder around as if doing laps on the rocky landscape set-up.
Straining his muscles to the limit he pushed and rolled the boulder around inch by inch. Once he got bored with that he found rocks that he could pick up in his paws, but heavy enough to test his muscles. And with four arms instead of two he underestimated his endurance level. Sweat droplets falling down the side of his face, the feline refused have a time-out. One rock too many he finally fell face down into the dirt from the onset of exhaustion. "Maybe... a break... wouldn't be.. such a.. bad idea.." he tried to catch his breath.
Surpressing his ki once more the extra arms retreated back into his body as he pushed himself up on all fours. Silva nearly crawled across the training grounds to get back to the main building and have someone open the door for him. Once inside he flopped down onto his belly, literally crawling through the hallways (hopeing not to be stepped on by accident) and slowly made it back to his room. It was a welcoming sight to see his things where he left them and that nice cozy bed. The feline crawled over to the bed and pulled himself up onto the sheets with a heafty sigh. His tail drouped over the edge as he slipped off his power pole and the sheath from his back. The bed was right up against the wall so he simple nudged the weapon to the wall and curled up while closing his eyes. As soon as his head rested on his front paws, Silva fell into a deep sleep. The outside world became nothing but a blurr as images of shadowy figures haunted his mind. Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Unaware that the small nap had been longer than expected, there were delicious auromas of steamed food that filled the room. sniff sniff sniff Silva began to stir awake as the smell of food lingered in his nose "Wha?" his voice a bit groggy he pushed himself up on all fours and stretched out with a big yawn. A flick of his tail he then peered over the edge of his bed to find a plate of steamed vegetables and another with fish as well as a small serving of rice. His mouth instantly watered and he licked his lips with a delighted grin. "Wow! Whoever left this here has good taste. It all looks tastey!" Tugging at the green bandana tied around his neck he made sure it was still on snug and then leapt down off the bed. Feeling revitalized from sleeping the feline landed gracefully on his paws and stepped over to the food. A few minutes of ultra-fast eating and there wasn't a crumb left to be spared. New bursts of energy filled his veins as he made sure to set aside the empty dishes and gather his things. Hopping back up onto the bed he slipped the sheathed power pole onto his backside and remembered the scouter this time. Placing the earpiece over his right ear he looked through the small green screen over his right eye.
Swiftly Silva leapt off the bed once more and dashed out of his room on all four paws. Almost nothing could stop him as he scampered through the hallways and headed outside to the training grounds for some more practice. It didn't take long to find his way back to the small rocky terrain where he could spend some training time rolling and lifting rocks. As soon as he paws felt the terrain under his paws he got straight to work strengthening himself physically.
But before he could start rolling boulders, the feline paused for a second to do a few warm-up exercises. Once that was done he fixed his jade gaze on a good size boulder nearby. It was nearly as big as him and probably more heavier. Standing up on his hind legs he placed his front paws on the boulder. A look of determination in his eyes Silva summoned each and every muscle in his body to the limits. It was a slow and steady process yet he managed to roll the boulder around inch by inch. Once that was done he found some rocks he could pick up with his front paws and started to use those like dummbells. "1.. 2.. 1.. 2.. 1.. 2.. 1.. 2.." Repeating different lifting movements the feline was focused on getting stronger and tactical minded with the techniques he was learning at this school.
"1.. 2.. 1.. 2.." he lifted the rocks up from shoulder level to reach up to the sky. Just then his scouter beeped and yellow numbers with a small arrow pointed to an approaching power level nearby. "Huh?" Silva snapped back to reality and looked in the direction his scouter indicated. Letting the rocks fall to the ground he turned to see Tien approaching. "Master," he brought up his front paws to chest level and bowed in greeting. The crane hermit slowed to a stop in front of him and asked curiousy, "how are you feeling?" "Much better now. Thank you," the feline spoke and stood straight once more with eyes looking up in anticipation. "Good. Shall we continue then where we left off?" Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Please," Silva looked up with those jade eyes as he pondered what his next lesson will be. "You've been practicing the Four Witches Technique?" Tien asked curiously to make sure he had some idea where this pupil was in his training. From the inital scare of the last session he wanted to know if there was some hope of taking the training a step forward. "Yes," the feline gave a quick nod with an honest answer. It appeared that Tien was satisfied hearing that reply.
"I would've like to give you a chance to work with that technique, but there's no time." There was a slight tone of regret in the crane hermit's voice. Given the current situation it would almost be suicide to recommend the feline to go fight. "Now that you know what it feels like to grow extra arms we can try Multi-Form Technique." He paused for a second to let this all sink into the feline's thoughts. "Think of it as making a double of yourself. It takes some of your ki, but it's like fighting with two or more of you. It's not just a simple after image effect." Silva raised an eye brow in slight puzzlement. He never thought that such a skill was possible.
"Watch." Tien stepped back a bit and and stood with feet shoulder width apart. Bringing his arms and crossing them in an 'x' in front of his chest. Silva's scanner beeped and scanned the increase in power level as the crane hermit focused and suddenly two duplicate (clones if you will) of him materialized from his body. Then each duplicate materialized another. Now instead of just Tien, there were 5 of him standing there. "What in the world?" The feline was totally taken back and almost rendered speechless. Something like this would only be in his imagination. Now here he was about to learn the Multi-Form Technique.
"Like I said," the crane hermit willed the duplicates to return to his physical body. "Each form I make of myself takes ki from me. Using it unwisely or without proper planning can be foolishness. It's not a solution to every problem. Let's go one step at a time. First you'll have to focus on your power. Then just like growing two more arms you'll have to visualize separating yourself into two breathing beings." "Visualize myself spliting into two?"
It still sounded a bit farfetched to Silva. But he wasn't going to doubt Tien's teachings. "I'll try." With a flicker of his tail he took a deep breath and mimiced the stance. Concentrating on his ki he could feel his power increasing to the max while trying to get that image of spliting up into two. The first attempt was a total fail and he tried harder a second time with little luck. "Damn it!" he growled in frustration. "Why can't I do it?" Questioning his abilities he turned his jade gaze back upwards. "Try thinking how you felt when you learned telepathy," Tien suggested. "Some students say that they feel like they're being detatched from themselves. An 'out of body' sensation. Kind of like when you were learning to tap into the depths of your mind instead of physically speaking." The feline gave a small nod in understanding and tried again. It took a little longer than he thought just to search deep down for that light feeling.
"Hah!" Powering up again Silva took to giving it all he's got. Suddenly he felt a bit light headed and almost as if separating from his own body. A duplicate of himself faded into view and then faded out as the attempt was incomplete. Before he even knew what happened he felt himself fall to the ground somewhat faint-ish. All of a sudden he felt Tien's arms support him upright into a sitting position. "Wha.. happened?" Tien had hurried to his side and kneeled down to hold the feline up. "I'd say you've pushed your body to a new limit. Try again." With those words of encouragement Silva pushed himself back up onto his hind legs once his head felt clear again. He let out a fighting cry, raising his power level once more to try and get this technique learned. Unaware of the time that passed he was determined to get this right. Under the watchful eye of the crane hermit he continued to try. Finally he was able to get one duplicate appearing on his right side, followed by a second to his left. Gasping to catch his breath he was feeling a bit drained as Tien had warned that each multi-form takes a bit of ki. Not being able to hold the effects of the technique for too long he finally willed the duplicates back to his own body. A sweat drop falling down the side of his head, the feline plopped down to sit on the ground gasping for air.Quote: Multi-Form Technique (600) ~ COMPLETE 0 / 1000 = Telekinesis 0 / 800 = Psychic Bomb 0 / 1000 = Dodon Ray 0 / 1500 = Super Dodon Blast 0 / 1200 = Pressure Point Attack 0 / 2000 = Self Destruction Quote: :: Silva :: Ki points ~ 9200 (-200) (-200) (-200) (-200) --Stats--1080 / 600 = stat point --Weapons--Power Pole Scouter claws teeth tail Zeni: 264
Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Come. There's something else I want to show you." Time was running short and Tien had one more lesson in mind. Silva pushed himself back up onto all fours and pawed at Tien's side as the pair hurried from the training grounds to get back inside the school. Once inside the pair moved at a brisk walk through some hallways that the feline had yet to explore. The unfamiliar surroundings had a sense of awe and mystery as he silently pondered about where they were going. From the corner of his gaze he noticed that there were fewer students in the halls as the crane hermit led the way to their next destination.
It felt like the minutes had grown to an eternity as the pair soon slowed to a stop in front 2 large, engraved doors. The feline stopped a few steps back as Tien opened the doors with ease and motioned him to follow. His eyes widened in awe to see books and scrolls stacked on tall shelves lining the walls. And in the center of the room were three long wooden tables. It appeared to be something like a study hall or aged library. He pawed over to one of the tables and hopped up onto a chair as Tien stepped over to a small shelf hidden in the back. A moment later Silva looked to find an armful of scrolls placed down on the table in front of him. "It's time to learn a bit about anatomy and pressure points of different living beings. Humans and humanoids are different from namekians and other lifeforms. But if you look at all living things as a simple picture, you'd find that it's like looking at a map. These show different pressure points and functions in the body. You'll need to study these."
Without another word the crane hermit left Silva to read and study the scrolls. There didn't appear to be anyone else in these library surroundings at the moment. All the feline could hear was his heart beat as he reached out to take one of the scrolls with his front paw. "Well... that seems easy enough. Read a few pictures and I'll be out of this room by lunch time." That's when he shifted his gaze to the large stack he was left with to read through. "Ok, maybe dinner. Or bedtime? Ugh, this is gonna take awhile." A small sigh under his breath he unravelled the first scroll and began to glance at the detailed diagram it showed. Then there was quite a bit of information to explain the diagram in greater detail as it was a sketch of a human body and different points marked by arrows. Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* It felt like an eternity to Silva as he sat quietly in the study and looked over the different parchments of charts and diagrams. He had no idea that there was so much to take in when it came to the pressure points and functions of the pressure points. Not to forget that each living being was slightly different. Like humans there were opposite genders compared to the namekians which didn't seem to have such DNA make-up. "Ugh..." the feline gave a heafty sigh as he pushed one scroll aside to read another. Careful not to tare the old paper with his paws he felt like his mind was going to blow. "How in the world did this guy learn about so many species? It's taking forever just to read all this!" Another sigh escaped out from under his breath. Propping his elbow up onto the table he rested his cheek in his hand. A flicker of his tail and twitch of his ears tried to find some small noise to accompany the surrounding silence.
Just then his stomach gave a loud growl in protest for food. It nearly startled Silva and almost made him leap off the chair. "Wha-?! Oh," he realized he was simply hungry and felt the top of his cheeks redden in slight embarrassment. Luckly no one was in the room to witness that. "Guess I could go get some grub. Master Tien didn't say anything about not eating while I studied." With ease he leapt down from the chair, power pole strapped to his back, and landed on all four paws. His tail swayed from side to side as those jade eyes looked around once more. "If I remember to find my way back then I might as well bring some food back with me." A small nod with the idea he scampered out of the study / library. Light on his paws he barely made a sound while dashing though the hallways. While on his way to the dinning room, the feline passed by another room where someone had turned up a radio broadcast. And there seemed to be a small crowd of students gathering as he approached. "What's going on?" he asked himself and skidded to a stop at everyone's feet. He made it just in time to hear about the trio of namekians being defeated and that the world was safe once more. There came a burst of cheers, however he didn't mutter a world. As quick as he came he headed onward to find some food. The broadcast sunk into that thick headed skull of his and giving him a reality check. In a way he was glad that the earth was safe... but he mentally kicked himself for not being strong enough to have able to help. And if such evil had come to the earth once, would it happen again? Next time I'll be ready.
Upon entering the dinning room, Silva remembered to turn off his scouter for the time being. Serving up a bowl of steamed rice with fish, vegetables, and soya sauce he took the bowl and chopsticks with his front paws. Thanking the cooks he then turned tail and walked on his hind feet back to the study / library. Careful not to drop the bowl he became lost in thought once again. Almost taking a wrong turn he finally made it back to find the scrolls scattered across the tabletop where he left them. Not to get food on the scrolls he sat back down and placed the bowl on his lap. Taking the chopsticks with his front paw he began to eat while his eyes scanned over the paper. Each time he took a bite he poked at the paper with the tips of the chopsticks. But not just to random spots. The feline poked on the pressure points marked on each diagram. It was becoming a game of 'poke' while he ate. Who knew studying could be this much fun and delicious? Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Rarrr! hehe" Silva let out a sniker as he poked at another diagram with his chopsticks. Suddenly this gave him an idea. Quickly he ate his meal, then setting aside the empty bowl and chopsticks he picked up the diagrams with his front paws. Getting off the chair he stepped over to a nearby bookshelf and arranged the scrolls so that the top edges were weighed down by books and drapped down like curtains on a window. The feline placed them around the room so he could move about to each one. The object of the exercise was to have them like training dummies set up in the training grounds. He was to attack them as he would an opponent and hit the marked points on the diagram with the tip ends of his front paw. Once that was done the feline got into a fight stance and looked to each diagram he hung up with a narrowed gaze. "Hah!" he got into the fighting mode and 'attacked' each by thrusting his front paws to touch each pressure point.
For some time Silva was lost in his own little world as he continued to pretend fight against these imaginary foes. Yet as he did this he was remembering each point to the best of his abilities. He even started adding a few mid-air kicks and summersuilts to his movements. Once he finshed poking at one diagram he'd scamper across the room to another and repeat the exercise. Soon he was becoming more confident and his paws almost moved like a blurr. If not being so caught up in his studying, the feline would've noticed Tien standing in the doorway watching him. A small cough to clear the throat caught Silva by surprise and turned about to see Tien. "Master! Forgive me, I umm..." he bowed and tried to apologize for not noticing the other's presence sooner.
The crane hermit gave a small wave of his hand and smiled. "No need to worry. I just stopped by to see how you were doing. And judging by your progrees I can see you're working hard." He eyed the room curiously and then shifted his gaze back to the feline. "So, have you learned anything?" he asked curiously.
Silva nodded excitedly and moved about the room from one diargram to another as he replied. "I've learned that there's still alot a need know. Like-" He went on to explain the different pressure points on each scroll and a little bit of what he learned while studying. It was like taking his teacher on a virtual tour and in-depth discussion. "Even with the slight differences there is that point which chi flows from and can be a leathal blow." Pawing back over to the diagram of a human he pointed to the heart. "Here. All living beings have a heart."
Tien smiled and listened closely to Silva's explinations. Now he was ready for the last part of the lesson. "I think it's time we see if you can put that knowledge to good use. Follow me." Obediently Silva pawed at Tien's side on all fours as they left the library and walked out of the nearest doorway to come back outside. The feline had a good idea that they were heading back towards the open area of the training grounds. "Here's your next test," the crane hermit stopped and turned to face his pupil. "The first to land a strick on a pressure point to the arms, hands, feet, or legs wins. I want to see if you can apply what you've studied on paper into a battle senario." Without warning the pair went at each other in a furry of punches and kicks. Kind of like a sparring match they lunged at each other to be first in striking a pressure point. More than once did Silva barely dodge an incoming strick from Tien. That's when he got an idea. Quickly he put his front paws on either side of his head and shouted, "Solar Flare!"
"What-!?" Tien had no time to think as the feline caught him off guard. Suddenly blinded by a flash he was rendard vaulnerable for that split second. But it was all that Silva needed to come at a pressure point in the crane hermit's upper shoulder and send a wave of paralysis through the arm. Poking with his fingertips he then summersulted backwards a few feet and landed on his hind paws. There he stood waiting for Tien to recover from the Solar Flare.
The crane hermit regained his vision to find his right arm limp at his side. It was a small defeat, but a defeat none the less. And it wouldn't take long until he'd be able to move his arm again. "Congratulations Silva," he smiled with pride and nodded. "You've done well. Find Chiaotzu and continue on with your training." "Thank you, Master." The feline was grinning from ear to ear and flattered by the compliment. Then the two bowed to each other and went their separate ways. Silva turned on his paws and scampered back into the school for a large victory snack. Silva ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Silva thought he felt a sweat drop fall down the side of his face as he pawed back into the school. A bit tired out from the last sparring / training he scampered through the hallways on all fours. But right now it seemed like he was on 'cloud 9'. A quick turn and brisk step led him back to the dinning area where the delicious auromas would greet one's senses. He knew exactly what he wanted as he took three dishes filled with fish, rice, bits of chicken with sweet and sour sauce. Not to forget the chopsticks either. Balancing a dish in each hand and one ontop of his head he turned about to stroll back to his room. It nagged the feline to walk on his hind legs because it took longer to get to wherever he's going. But this time it was well worth it as the auroma of the food tickled his nose.
The feline made it back to his room without much trouble. Stepping over to the low table he set the heaping dishes down and took the chopsticks in his paws. One last look over to make sure he had everything he soon sat down cross-legged at the table. A click of the chopsticks properly set in his front paw he smirked happily. "Let's dig in! Chow time!" Silva cheered out excitedly and began to with the first dish of fish. It didn't take long to devour the fish when he then moved onto the rice. Now and again he paused to lick the crumbs off his whiskers. "grum grum grum grum" Anyone who'd dare try to take this food away from him would be having a death wish.
The food disappeared and the feline felt renewed with a burst of energy. Not a crumb to spare he smirked and gave a satisfied sigh. "aaaahh, Now that was a meal fit for a king." A flicker of his tail and twitch of his ears he pushed himself up onto his paws. Taking one last look around the room he made sure that his scouter and the power pole were snug in place. Everything else appeared to be in proper place. "I think I'll pay Central City a visit and see if anything's changed." Silva was feeling a bit home sick. Even though there weren't too many fond memories of the street life, he still had some feeling for the lifestyle he left behind. Besides, it was only going to be a short visit.
Taking a break the feline wasn't going to get lack on his training. He planned to return here in a short time. Without second thought he dashed out of the school building and took flight into the sky overhead. Flying was finally feeling a bit more natural and as easy as breathing now.
Zed could only stare in disbelief as she stood outside the Crane school. She had heard Mai and Cho talk about the fighters of the past, even the Crane school which was led by two of the warriors. She never caught their named however she figured this would be the easier of the fighters to learn from since they were human. The female then took a quick breath before entering the building, glancing back to notice the door close behind her. Looking around she noticed the colors of green and yellow being very prominent threw out the building.’ Very odd,..’ She thought only to turn her attention back to her surroundings. Her attention was then taken back when she heard someone’s footsteps, making her turn around. When she did she was no one there, making her tilt her head to the side. “That’s odd. My senses where sure that there was someone here…” She said while looking around the building.
“Your senses where right!” said a very high pitched voice.
“Huh? Show yourself. I do not like playing games.” Zed said as an annoyed expression started to cross her face.
“Down here!” said the voice again.
Zed blinked a few times as she looked down seeing a child like figure standing in front of her. The child was pale as the snow and seemed to have red cheeks. She couldn’t be sure if it was makeup or not. He also wore the green and yellow clothing that seemed standard here. ” Ah hello there… I’m sorry, I did not mean to not see you. I guess I am just too tall.” She said while tilting her head to the right side, staring down at him. After a few seconds she then bent down so she could be his height. ”My name is Zed and I wish to train here with the legendary Tien and Chaiotzu. Can you show them to me?”
“Tien’s not here but I can help you. My named Chaiotzu and I am the second fighter here. From your appearance you much be an android but as you know we only accept humans and animal type people. However I am sure that Tien allows Bio Androids.” He said with a small smile appearing on his face.
“Ah if it does become a problem then I shall leave. Dose he not like my kind?” She asked with mild interest. She knew that asking questions and trying to make friendly conversation with humans was a sure way to learn and gain an allegiance.
“He just had an interesting past with the Red Ribbon Army and a few androids who tried to destroy the world. Nothing too bad.” He then cracked his neck to the side before walking up the stairs towards the training room. Glancing back he noticed that Zed was fallowing him, making him smile more. The doors opened for them, making him turn back towards the female. “Here is where you’ll be training with me. The first technique is called Psycho Power. It’s where you can move objects and even people with your mind. If you really master it then you can even attack organs of weaker people.” He explained while sitting on the ground, patting a place next to him for her to sit. “The first thing you need to do is clear your mind of all thoughts.”
Zed nodded her head ‘yes’ before taking a seat next to him. She then closed her eyes, trying to calm her breathing down first. After a few seconds her heart rate was normal and mind seemed to be lacking any thought. She then opened her eyes and turned towards the male. “Now what?” ”See that box over there? I want you to concentrate on moving it.” He said while pointing towards the box. ” Don’t try to hard either. For first timers it could give you a horrible head ache or make you ill” He said, giving her a friendly warning of the danger.
Zed nodded her head again before aiming her gaze towards the blue box in the corner of the room. Her gaze didn’t change nor did she blink as she started at the box for over an hour before it started to move just the slightest. She then took another breath, moving it higher as each hour passed by.
“Now that you got it to move I want you to try to throw it at the wall.” saying this as he threw his hands in to the air, giving the illusion of something exploding.
”Alright.” She said while keeping her hold on the levitating box in front of them. She then turned her neck to the side, forcing the blue box to smash in to the wall in a blink of an eye. When she did this her eyes grew wide as if she was shocked. She then turned her head back towards the young male was a worn out expressions on her face. ”This move is very challenging. I can see why you and your friends are known for being the best fighters in the world.”
“Haha you’re not done yet. Now try to move my own arm. If you can do that then you have mastered it.” He said as his smile turned in to calm and collected expression.
“Yes sir,” Zed said before turning her body to face him. She then stared directly at his arm, watching it twitch a few times. Forcing the human body against its will was much trickier then she expected. The arm started to twitch franticly before forcing it’s self to bend as if the young male was holding something. She then had his fingers go in and have him keep his pinky out.. “Very proper no?” She said before letting go of his arm. She then started at her own hand before turning her gaze back at Chaiotzu with a small smile. ”Well how did I do for my first time using such an odd technique? Pretty impressive for a Bio android, yeah?” She asked, waiting for his answer in hopes it was praising.
 “It’s good that you have a high mental power however how is your defense, speed, power and your strength?” He asked while grabbing his shoulder, rolling the bone just in case it was off.
“The highest of my level is my speed and defense. My speed is mostly due to my legs being light metal but still compared to humans I can most likely outrun a football player. My defense is alright but can improve.” She explained while cracking her neck to the side. “I believe my lowest is my own power level while the second is my strength. I do not have much human muscle within these arms however if I do strengthen them then it should be of great help.”
“Alright then for now we shall work on your strength.” He said while standing up from the ground and motioned her to fallow him. The two walked out of the room and in to a hallway. Within a few minutes they made it to a larger room with work out equipment of all kinds. “Here we can improve your strength with ease and with these machines you won’t have to worry about breaking them. They are specially made from capsule Corp.” He said while walking over towards the equipment. He finally stopped in front of the dumbbells. They appeared light, simple items with odd numbers on the side and a button near them. He then picked up a set and handed it to her. “Put them 50 so you’ll have to carry 100 pounds with you. Oh before you do that also strap those ones to your ankle.” He said while pointing to another odd looking pair with straps.
“Shall do,” Zed said while bending down to tie the odd items to her ankles. When she was done with that the female tested out her feet, bringing her left leg up. When she tried this is appeared to be much harder than normal forcing her to put it back down. ’ What the hell….’ she thought while tapping the buttons on the dumbbells to make them say 50. When she heard an odd beeping noise the dumbbells seemed to be weighted ten times more, making her body lunge forward due to the weight. “Er, this is annoying,.” she said while glancing up to him.
“Haha now walk around the area if you can. Try to make your body use to the weight.” He said while flouting from his spot, getting tired of standing.
“ Fine.” She muttered while lifting her body up, having her back crack a few times. It felt very good and almost made her forget about the annoying task she was doing. She took a large breath before making her arms bend to her sides, forcing them to stay up. Her left leg moved forward, forcing her right leg to finally move. she started to walk as fast as a slug, feeling her muscles ache and cry out for this torture to stop. However she knew that it meant to be a sign that the training was working. A few minutes passed by and she had made it across the room, sweat pouring down her body. She then forced herself to turn around and slowly walk back towards the other side. When she finally made it to the other side the female felt her body give up, needing to rest. It fell forward on to the ground with a large THUMP! Sound.
“Are you okay?” Chiaotzu asked as he landed on the ground and stood over her.
“Yeah just need to rest for a bit” Zed said with a grin appearing on her face before glaring down at the floor, losing conscious to sleep.
"So you want to use your mind to attack people huh? Its like what I am good at."
The little pale white clown stood up and he started to hover over the students. Echo had walked into the dojo and he figured that he would learn this quickly. He knew how to fight but this would grow to be helpful if he needed to attack his opponent without actually attacking his opponents. He claimed to be the master of it. He knew of the turtle and Crane school rivalry started by the Master Roshi and the Master Tao. They were heated rivals and now the students had become rivals to reiniate that old time rivalary from back in the day. Echo looked as he watched Chaltzou start to move a rock with his brain. He lifted a rock with his mind and he started to let the rock spin in a circle. Echo was quite entertained with this. As Chalztou let the rock go it split into a million pieces as he finally stopped and his eyes locked onto Echo. He felt his energy and he knew how evil he was. Chaltzou only floated towards him and he pointed to the door. He looked at him in the eyes and he said with a glint of anger.
"you're not welcome here. I can feel the evil radiating off of you. What makes oyu think you are worthy to be a student of the Crane Style. You might have been able to trick The Crane students but not us. Not here. So pack up and leave. OR I will kill you."
Chaltzou only pointed his finger towards him. He started to let his powerlevel started to grow. Echo thought that the demons were hard to defeat. But Chaltzou is powerful. He was much more powerful than what they had described. His energy was sky rocketing. As Echo only held up two hands and he simply sighed.
"Just show me."
"Jsut show you what?"
"The Mind thing."
Chaltzou looked as he started to levitate some rocks around him. As he let the rocks start to spin quicker and quicker he shot them all towards Echo in a a blind rage. Echo loked and he was pummeled. The 360 attack had him battered and barraged. Chalzou only started to glow.
"I ASKED YOU TO LEAVE!"
He started to yell. As he fired the dopanda ray into Echo's chest. Causing to create a big circle in his chest. As Echo put his hand there he healed and he simply nodded. He held his hands up and he only laughed.
"No harm no foul Little king. I will be on my way. I jsut wanted to see how to do your technique. I think I did by the way."
As Echo lifted up a small fragment of rock with his mind. He let it spin and dropped ti to the ground. He looked at Chaltzou in the eyes.
"Now whatever I become you have contributed too. Thank you Master."
Echo said slowly with a smile growing across his face.
