((Lol. I didn't really realize that until now. I'm so used to posting everything in dark red anway. XD))
A wind blew up from south of her direction and with it came the scent of another. Rammah stopped and looked behind her, her head hanging a little low as she turned to check her rear. A couple hundred feet from her was a strange, red furred, black maned, long legged canine that looked nothing like a wolf. Rammah blew a breath out and dust rose up around her face. "Are you lost?" Called the elder wolf, her head still hung low like she were already tired of walking. She knew that the plants and animals were changing and rapidly, but she wasn't aware that animals were breeding out of their species now. She shouldn't make fun, but she was old, or older anyway, and didn't much care who she offended. Cynical? Her? No, couldn't be. "Bathroom is back the way you came..." And with another huff, Rammah continued on her path, the vibrant grass sprouting wherever she stepped.

This wolf had some attitude! she squinted back at the she-wolf when she asked if she was lost. "i would say the same for you" she mumbled. and then she started leaving, and there was grass starting to grow where she had touched. so she had done that to the tree. Onatah followed behind her, her long legs making her faster since she was able to reach a wider area. "we're after the same thing, dont be so quick to judge. i know i dont look like much, but we're the same" she said. this wolf...she was interesting, no doubt. Onatah definitely could learn something new from her.

Luna continued her walk along the frozen bed of roses. it was one of her favorite places. The ever-frozen stream she 'claimed' led to a pond that was a pale, icy blue. Purples and greens were visible underneath the dust of ice if you looked. There was a second branch of frozen water that led to a natural garden, frozen roses and lilies everywhere. They never melted...She was currently in a larger form, being a six-foot she-wolf since she felt safer in her more unnatural size. Her usual was a somewhat runty silver wolfess. Of course, her color hadn't changed.
Shasta howled into the air, it sounded somewhat metallic and not completely animal. She looked at her legs, and sniffed. They didn't rust or anything, but stiffness was sometimes an issue. Her legs would lock up and it would take time to fix them.

Rammah looked back at the younger canine, trying to figure out what she was talking about. "I don't know what you're talking about," Growled the old she-wolf. She wasn't much of traveling companion herself and preferred to hoof it alone, if that's what you could call it. But this young canine seemed to think that they had something in common, a goal that they both shared. Rammah simply shook her head and kept walking, maybe the other would lose interest and go off somewhere else. Whoever she is, whatever she is, she's young, Rammah didn't care for the younger creatures. They reminded her too much of what she had lost before the Humans had finally left to let them reclaim the Earth that was nearly lost. Origin of all things good and mother to us all, It was a prayer that some had said of her, but now the old she-wolf felt the words like stones in her heart. Origin of good indeed.
Her tail hung low, trailing a dark line on the earth and grass that sprouted in her wake. As the black mark faded, flowers blossomed within the grass, their soft, rosy hue made brighter by the vibrant greens of the grass. Rammah looked back over her shoulder, wondering if the young canine were still following her. "Shouldn't you be off chasing a stick?" She asked sarcastically. "I have no need for company," Her voice trailed off as she continued on her path to the ocean, the sun sinking slowly though it would not set for another hour or two.

Onatah had a displeased look on her face. "sorry, but im no dog, and i dont fetch sticks. im a wolf, pure blooded one" she said, making it very clear. she knew this route, but why would this She-wolf want to go there. fixing it would take a tremendous amount of energy, more than any living creature had. because if one was to posses such energy, it would die from it. the earth once possesed that energy, but now it is dying. that was one perfect example. she kept that annoyed glare, Onatah was not one to be pushed around. "and does it look like i do? your one of those who focuses on bringing the dead earth back, and i know just which spots its dying in" she said, trotting just abit behind the other wolf. she had no fear of being chased and caught, she was much to fast for that.

"Oh really?" Asked the elder She-wolf. "Tell me, little wolf, what do you feel when your paws touch the Earth?" Rammah turned around and sat, looking at the strange wolf with mild curiosity. "You say you know exactly where the Earth is dying? It is true there are areas more important than most, but if you knew anything about your Mother, you would know then that the Earth must be treated as a whole, not just scattered parts. It's sloppy," Rammah yawned and scratched her head with a hind foot. "Tell me young one, do you know of the Wolf Mother? Have your parents told stories? Or is she dead and forgotten just as the Earth is?" A sad looked passed across her face as she asked the question.

Luna left the frozen circle and walked out into the forest. A cluster of shimmering emerald trees were shaking from the breeze she felt caress her own shining color. The trees were, in true context, "Emerald Trees". Little beads of green hung from the boughs and looked exactly like minute green jewels. Luna guessed that they were a sap from the tree, maybe used to attract bees or something similar. The bark was a blackish color, and she sank down beneath it to close her eyes.
A snarl rippled from the throat of the dark-hued wolfess as her collar caught against a branch of a tall shrub. A clinging noise came from the mettalic nuisance that wouldn't come off, and engraved on the front was a simple set of letters and numbers. S7TA. Shasta had a fight with the greenery, and stopped short of a win as she realized she'd need to deal with it differently or risk being strangled.

Onatah tilted her head. The wolf mother, what a strange question to ask. "yeah ive heard of her, my parents idolized her. they kept telling me stories about her, it was only natural considering she and they and me all wanted to revive this dead planet" she said, still confused as to why she needed to know. then suddenly a sound hit her radar-dish ears, metal against wood. if its a human sawing down tree's again i swear... she thought, darting towards the sound and not minding if the white she-wolf came with her or not. she stopped to see a wolf caught on a shrub by its collar. no, not a wolf, a machine...a living wolf-like machine. just when you think you've seen it all. she went up to the wolf and concluded she was of no threat, "you need any help?" she asked it.

"Idolized, huh..." The strange young wolf ran off at the sound of something like metal clattering against metal to create a sound that almost reminded her of a howl, a frustrated one at that. "Oh what the hell..." Rammah took off after the other wolf, her speed increasing with every leap and bound she took, the grass becoming brighter and the flowers more abundant as she matched pace with her deer/wolf friend. The two of them came upon something that was alive and yet wasn't. It had the fur of a wolf but the metal frame of a machine. "Wait," Said Rammah, stepping between them. "Don't do anything just yet. Let's see if they can help themselves." A creature that couldn't help itself in this world was as good as dead.

Her mecha hind legs dug a bit at the ground, near the base of the plant, but Shasta was caught facing away from it and couldn't see what she was doing, so she stopped. Snarls rippled away quietly as she stopped struggling and took notice of her company. "If I could help myself in this particular situation, why do you suppose I am still here?" She questioned, and would've tilted her head if not for the situation.
Her tail swished about, agitated and stressed. The reason this was such a big deal for her was because the collar was, in some terms, a part of Shasta. It wasn't attached visibly, but it just simply wouldn't come off. It clung like glue if it was tugged on, so she was also in a measurable amount of pain.

Onatah looked at the plant and thought, before going up to the strange wolf. first she looked at the collar, S7TA. whatever that meant. next, she looked at the branch. she diddent want to tear the branch off, that would hurt the plant. but she couldent let the creature that was tangled stay there either. she put one of her skinny paws on the shrub and watched as the branch started to bend like it was rubber, untangling itself from the wolf's collar and then snapping back into place, frim and unbendable. She took her paw off and before she put it on the ground, you could briefly see a strange mark the bottom of her paw. "you okay?" she asked, smiling a wolfish smile

She could feel the plant unfurling and untangling, and sighed briefly before stepping away to test her freedom. "Thank you.." She said, and nodded her head gently. The other young wolfess was slim, very slim, but Shasta said nothing of it. She was, after all, the one that obviously didn't fit in.

Rammah watched quietly, neither stepping in to help nor keep the other from helping the strange metallic creature. This one is different, She thought quietly, referring to Onatah. Perhaps there is hope for this world yet. Rammah stepped up to the strange creature that looked like a wolf but smelled of the workings of humans. "What are you and what is your name?" Asked the big she-wolf, taking in every feature of the mecha. For as far as she could see, the metal limbs leaked no oil or harmful fluids and she wondered for a moment what sort of sciences kept this creature moving.

Looking up at Rammah, she blinked. "I am Shasta...and I'm..." She lookedbackwards at her own unnatural makeup and returned her crimson gaze to the older she-wolf. "I am a wolf, if thats believable." Her dark-reddish gray tail lay flat against her silver haunches and the metal around her middle expanded when she breathed.
When Luna awoke, she'd hardly slept. It'd been a problem for her for the past fre days and she was missing her sleep. Slightly irritated, the silver wolf walked away to find water.

"I believe you" Onatah said, smiling. she went up to Shasta and looked at her from top to bottom, she looked wolfish in a way. "mostly i guess i know your a wolf cause most people dont believe that i am one. im Onatah, a maned wolf. im an earth shamaness, most call me Ona" she said. it was hard to believe that she, a strange creature that looked like some weird mix, was a wolf, but it really was true.
[[yeah, i searched it on google, maned wolves are wolves. truefax]]
