[ Entering : Sloane's courtyard ]

Three little stunteds finally found their way into the mysterious house of the just as mysterious plague belonging to a just as mysterious fellowship. Alas, these three were utterly confused. "Are we there yet?" A silence. "Are we there yet?" A small little puffy and fluffy blue ornament-esque stunted jumped here and there, instead of properly walking. The other two, a wilted leaf leading the way with a lantern and the zorro-esque wannabe Holly stunted playing defense. "For the last time, no, Pip." The usually quiet leaf stunted spoke sternly to him. And the usually charming holly stunted, well. "Why, Harper, m'dear, you musn't be so rough on the poor little boy. He was, after all, only curious!" He flailed his non-existent sword around and made random sound effects--as if he was sparring with someone. "C'mon now, we're already incredibly late!" "Golly Gee, we're late!!" Pip piped up, but made no motion to speed up--nor did he choose to cease the jumping.

Harper wondered how the heck she got here in the first place. Ah, she vaguely recalled now. They all heard about it through a fellow mistletoe girl by the name of Dracona. She didn't really explain much, just that there was a huge party going on, and no one should miss it. The two musketeer boys in which Harper had gotten acquainted with the past two months had decided not to attend. "A party, y'say?" They both scoffed. "It's quite alright, Harper. You can attend with the newcomers." and then they continued to frolic and duel and do whatever they liked to do. Of course they would dump into her care these two lively souls--but she was surprised they didn't enlist Dorian to be part of their trio. Perhaps they haven't gotten the chance to know him yet. Back at home in Gadu, Harper was the one that was quiet and eloquent and had mannerisms. Being the only girl in the house, Harper only wanted to impress Lulu, who found her lost and about one autumn evening. The other two simply knocked on the door and made their way in.

Here, however, things were already quite different. For one, Harper was late. And two, she had no idea who the others were going to be. Though she was curious, she only really wondered why Lulu would have agreed. Then again, Harper didn't really understand the lady. She was, indeed, a tough one. "Are you daydreaming? We're already here!"

There were so many different people here already talking amongst each other and all! Unfamiliar faces all around, the three of them felt somewhat out of place--but Harper made the move to walk in. "W-well, might as well, right?" They all picked up the speed when they noticed some people already making their way into the crowds. A few here and there gave them a glance, but then they went back to their original conversations. Harper couldn't help but feel even more out of place. Finally, they awkwardly stood there while quiet chattering was about them. "This is a nice place! Whoever lives here must be important or something, eh?" "We're at another house...? But I thought you guys told me we're going to the zoo!" A silence lingered in the air.

"I suppose we should make the best to fit in...! Suddenly, the three of them heard the door open and looked towards the main entryway. "Did you hear that?" Well, Harper. Not to be afraid, it was simply a door opening." "I knew that already."

Being the scared little stunted she was, Harper simply stood still--but Pip,who couldn't stand still for more than five seconds, decided to hop around some more--toward the entryway.

"Are we really going over there? No one's really doing much are they?" Harper hesitated for a bit. She didn't want to seem pretentious or anything. "W-we can wait until everyone--Dorian!" The holly boy made his way past her and began to go after Pip. "Stop being such a pansy, Harper! Live it up a bit. We're on an adventure after all!" She sputtered with anger as Dorian and Pip skipped their way through the courtyard. "For crying out loud, we don't even know anyone here! Do we really want to bring attention to ourselves?" But it was far too late, the two of them were already on the move and Harper could not do anything but follow, hoping that she'd be saved from the worst of consequences.

(( Sloane's Room; bed ))

The black space of sleep, where time stood still but quickly flew by, had overtaken the Infitialis some hours ago. His injuries, though healing at a faster rate than any human's could, were taking a toll on his energy and prevented him from leaving his quarters very often. All things considered, Sloane was quiet the heavy sleeper and none of the commotion in the doll house across from his bed had awoken him.

In fact, he might have stayed completely asleep if it hadn't been for a few certain factors; for one, there were now a lot of people coming and going from his room, which caused him to stir here and there, not to mention all of the new Excito additions to the room who did not realize to be quiet. Secondly, there was a new presence on the bed with him, one he couldn't ignore as it was far bigger than any Excito--it was quite human sized. With a grumble, the Anhelo opened his eyes to find the courtyard of the doll house was quite stuffed with tiny, colorful bodies and more still were climbing the strings to gain entrance. His brow furrowed but there was a distinct smile on his face, however weak it may have been from the exhausted confusion he was now feeling.

Turning his head, Sloane was promptly met with the body which lay, quite asleep, by his side. Chauhn, poor Chauhn with his bandaged hands. Looking around, the Infitialis situated himself and pulled the covers from under his body, wrapping them over the boy so he could keep warm. From there, he moved to sit at the edge of the bed, leaning closer to the doll house and smiling at all those who were now gracing its yard. With great enthusiasm, he heard Blaithe call his name as she clung to the fence and then dear Ophelia thanking him for the invitation.

Wait, invitation? To what, pray tell?

"Hello," he grinned at them all, flashing his teeth, "I thank you all for coming, though I do not know the occasion. I recall sending no invitation." It was troubling to the still only half awake Plague, but slowly things began to make sense. It was not he who sent an invitation but, perhaps, his small charges had a hand in the situation?

Then, with little regard to anyone around them nor the house's integrity, two Stunteds burst through the front door and escorted a certain white, flowery Excito into the foyer. This made Sloane frown and utter a quiet warning of 'be careful' as he rested his chin in one hand and watched the others.

(( Doll House; Foyer ))

As the door slammed open, a jingling shriek was heard while another sound of bells came from a different room entirely. There was little time for the hosts to prepare themselves but now that the door was open and someone was entering as they pleased, it was show time whether they were ready or not.

A tiny silver boy slid out onto the foyer floor from a room to the right, quickly removing his hat and bowing with a flourish. "Bonjour! Welcome to our home! Please, come in and find a comfortable seat!" he half shouted from his excitement.

This prompted another presence, a golden girl, to step inside the foyer from a room to the left, giving a low curtsy to Claudia and her servants. "Salut, friends. We have treats and sweets, would any of you like some nog?" her chiming voice held a foreign accent, the same as her silver brother.

Chavelle, the silver bell, directed Claudia and the others to the room he had exited to greet them. It was a dining room, full of plush looking sofas and chairs. A long wooden table was pushed off against a wall to make for more walking and sitting room. The table had a white lace doily tablecloth and neatly arranged sat bowls, plates, platters, cups and pitchers full of what anyone but an Excito or mouse would consider crumbs and drops of the most delicious and enticing food and drink one could imagine.

Once their guests began to get situated, Chavelle's dark eyes were locked on the pure white flower Caedos, tiny mouth ajar as he stood against a wall. "Mon dieu," he whispered to himself as his sister, Lavelle, gave him a quick pat on the shoulder before heading towards the front door. She beckoned all those who were not yet inside within their walls, a pleased smile on her face as she looked up to Sloane who couldn't seem to get rid of the grin now plastered across his face.

[Courtyard]

Ecstatic, now that Sloane had woken up, Blaithe's smile grew as she clung to the fence. Walking had never been her strong suit, what with her lacking a proper leg and all, so she was content with merely conversing until help was offered. Her Oji had left, so there was no one to gently pick her up and place her wherever she had wished to be.

And then Clurie had arrived!

"Clur! Hello!" It had been a while since she had seen her ashy friend! The last time, their play date had been cut short, but now they could all play together without much worry of interruption!

Maybe they could play that game of pretend!

Only seconds later, two bells had cornered the colorful Phasmas into the fence, but her smile only grew wider. Why, they looked a lot like Cain, Abel and Eve! They weren't them, of course; Blaithe had parted with them when she and Jin-Ho left their quarters. Plus, they didn't seem to recognize her, but she did quite enjoy the compliments! "Hi! Who're you? You're pretty, too! Just like some of my friends!" she chimed, excitement seeming to pour from her very being. Of course, she, like always, couldn't help but notice how they were rather monotonous. Most Plagues she had encountered had one or two colors to their overall scheme...

Sometimes boring, but pretty all the same.

As Claudia had her "servants" bust down the door, Blaithe quickly turned to see what had caused the commotion. She had forgotten that the flower was even here! So many new people were arriving each second, covering up the sweetly sick aroma emitting from her "friend."

Greetings from two more Plagues came from inside as the Phasmas watched, longing to go see every single new face.

Only once before had Clurie been introduced to such a grand amount of Excito, but the blood bath of the Colwe carnival hardly counted as a social outing. Choosing to stay near the fences and watch as new and outrageous Excito fled to the scene, the Clemmings plague and two escorts idled about with wide eyes, peering at those familiar and unfamiliar around them. There were some curious Excito, a few who he had seen in passing, and from the congregation of deathly smells and haunting odors, were a few that Clurie had smelled before in passing. In countless number of them all, though, were bells similar to the two Notclemms by his side, standing just a bit taller than he. They were cheerful and merry, through politely reserved, as they pointed out those who wore garments of the similar color and fashion.

"Look at them all," said Minori in wonder as she took her silver brother's arm in hers, "They are just like us and our other siblings. Do you think they're Notclemms, too? They must be, we are the same!" She smiled at them grandly, looking again to her brother for confirmation.

Micchi nodded his head, patting his sister's hand, looking every bit like a gentleman with his lady. "They must be the others that came with our coming to be. But we are all Excito, aren't we? We are one kind, the Plague kind."

"Save our thoughtful Clurie," Minori said, reaching out to lead Clurie forward and away from the fence. She patted his shoulder. Clurie, in response to the kind touch, gave a start as he was brought back to reality from his distant planes of thought and musing. "He's not like us."

Clurie gave a nod, feeling a little comforted by the fact that they were no longer pressing him into being an Excito like them, but of a different caliber. Still, that small victory had no satisfaction for Clurie, and when she said it, it sounded wrong, like he should argue it as a lie. This troubled Clurie. It was an either or situation. He was either an Excito or he was Clurie, Chauhn's dead little brother. He firmly believed that he was Clurie, but when he looked at the other Excito around him, all the same sixe as he, the same build and makeup, the same breed, minus the fact that they didn't have a title to uphold or a roll to fill. But then Clurie, his scattered mind focusing in to a determined whirl, had to wonder if he was just filling someone else's shoes.

While his mind twirled with all these dizzying thoughts and troubles, he carelessly followed along as the flood of tiny Excito bodies made their way into the house.

There was a familiar Plague just off to the side, a bright and colorful Excito, smaller yet than he, who was small to begin with in comparison to the other Excito around. He waved at her, a bit distractedly, and smiled, "'Allo Blaithe. I knew you'd be here." But as she finished her smile, she was approached by other Plagues, who since captured her attention. He kept his smile on until it faded, and he turned away, glancing despairingly at the crowd around him. He felt like he were in the place he should be, the place he belonged, and that feeling alone was what really upset him.

While the two Notclemms beside him greeted the hosts with a merry wave and giggle, Clurie stared off at the other Excito, feeling uncomfortably distant from his brother, Chauhn, who slept, now covered with blankets that Sloane had tucked over him, not even two yards away. The Sword Plague was smiling and looking on at them.

Clurie tried to maneuver into a place where he could wave up at the Anhelo, a comforting visage in the sea of others, before he accidentally bumped into the white rose Excito, expelling a plume of ash.

[ Entering: Sloane's Room; Courtyard ]

It had been more of a struggle than she should have liked, but when Gretta finally heaved herself onto the summit of the wardrobe, she felt warm with triumph. After a minute of laying still, splayed upon the artificial grass just outside the gate, the stunted gingerbread Plague gathered her strength (and her skirts) and stood. Quickly glancing around, she surmised that no one had spotted her yet, which she very well counted as a blessing. Gretta wasn't one who could, necessarily, be called proud, but no one in their right mind wanted to suffer the humiliation of being spotted wallowing on the floor, sapped of all energy. Silently, Gretta made a promise to herself to be more active so things like this could never happen again. It was not a promise she would remember by the end of the day.

The house was as grand as she had heard, and more. With the door open, enticing smells from within filled the courtyard, making Gretta's black little heart soar with euphoria. Her Grimm had always prepared the best of meals, and it was easy to say that the smell of sweets reminded her of home. However, it seemed there was a stretch of courtyard between her and her goal.

Gretta moved along, taking small, quick steps through the open metal gate. Not one to be ignorant of others, she would address the closest soul, which just so happened to be Clurie and his band of stunteds.

"Excuse us, m'lord, but issit true that this is an open house occasion?" She implored, bobbing her head in kind to his companions in greeting. Gretta sincerely hoped she hadn't been fooled by her friends into coming all this way, only to find that strangers were not welcomed.

(( Entering: Courtyard ))

Approaching this highly anticipated party happened to be two very curious excitos. One calmly following the trail of what could be assumed to be his friend, a much brighter figure who's pace was awkward and hasty as he moved. Now with such difference in pallet and build, the strangers certainly looked like an unlikely pair, but upon listening to their interactions with one another it became obvious that the duo were well acquainted.

"Honestly, Ripley, I do not see the point to making a fuss to rush," came the voice of the taller, lankier character, standing upright with a dignified strut as he followed his more colourful friend who was hurrying forward. " It really is best to be fashionably late, after all. It keeps things interesting, leaves one looking quite mysterious! Others would be more inclined to conversation with a cryptic gentleman than a stumbling fool who frets over a few lost minutes."

Just as this was said, the 'fool' in question, predictable as always, nearly tripped as he was nearing the metal fence to the large (or should it be considered small? ) home that was their destination. The excito was able to catch himself though, but to do so he'd continued the embarrassing display with a flailing of his tiny arms to attempt to re-balance himself. Once he heard the amused snickering of his dear friend behind him, Ripley turned to face the other stunted with his mouth pressed into a tight frown, his cheeks growing a similar shade of pink as that he was thoroughly adorned in.

"I may sometime loose my footwork, Ada," he chimed back, his voice defensive but far from intimidating in it's naturally light tone," but I feel as though the embarrassment is worth arriving on time. It's only polite! We are very rarely invited to parties and I do not want to give a bad impression!"

"Very well, Very well," the monotone fellow cooed, a faint chuckle still carrying in his voice," Let's not keep them waiting any longer then, shall we? "

" Right, Right," Ripley replied with a huff before turning back to the gate and quickly regaining a pleasant attitude as he unlatched the door with careful hands and pulled the thing open to more properly view the courtyard as well as the various guests that still conversed among themselves. Both wearing sociable smiles, the boys strode into the yard, Ada completely aware the he'd left the gate ajar, while Ripley was merely too distracted.

((- Moving to Ground Floor; Foyer -))

From the moment the door of the dollhouse was opened, the little ornament Plague's attention was drawn by the enticing prospect of being able to enter-- and at the mention of sweets, she was positively captivated. With a tiny gasp of delight, Mykolai took off at a lively scamper toward the open door, but her approach was hindered by the growing number of other Excito in the courtyard. Some of them were ornaments, like herself, while others reminded her of her new grey mistletoe friend; there were so many unfamiliar colors and faces to take in! But there was one thing that a good deal of the other Plagues had in common: most were a head or so taller than Mykolai herself, which made it a bit difficult for her to see where she was headed.

Undeterred, she took to bouncing on the balls of her feet and peering around arms and shoulders, bobbling and ducking in a squiggly line through the courtyard and doing her best not to jump on anyone's toes. "S'cuse me!" she blurted as she squeezed her way around two more guests-- and suddenly found herself stumbling over a doorframe, her tiny feet clattering on a wooden floor. She was inside! Mykolai was so ecstatic that she hardly knew what to do with herself. Her attention was immediately captured by the golden bell Plague, who was welcoming guests into the house, and she hopped forward to stand beside the other Excito.

"Hello!" she piped to Lavelle, an excited smile glowing on her face. "Is this your house?"

((- Courtyard -))

Shubin watched as her "companion" scurried toward the now-open door of the dollhouse and disappeared into the quickly-growing throng of Excito. She seemed about to go after Mykolai, but thought better of it, remaining where she was and watching as the number of Plagues in the miniature courtyard steadily increased. That one might need looking after; it would be best to keep an eye out for her later.

She could enter the house now, she supposed. It would be nice to see what the inside of it looked like. But her interest was tempered by a sober sense of propriety. The flowery white Excito and her attendants had made quite an entrance; to say that they'd invited themselves in would be putting it mildly. The hosts of the party seemed unruffled by this boldness, and were welcoming guests into the house as though nothing out of the ordinary had happened, but to Shubin it still seemed very... coarse. Following so close on the heels of the pushy Caedos and her coterie didn't sit particularly well with the mistletoe Plague. Besides, there were still those who were only just arriving, and it certainly wouldn't hurt to hang back for a bit, to watch things from a distance before following the stream of other Plagues inside.

With this in mind, she stepped carefully out of the way of the swinging gate and stood with her back to the fence, propping her hands on the railing, leaning most of her weight on her arms and crossing one foot over the other nonchalantly. Shubin watched her fellow Excito's arrivals with a small, reserved smile. Occasionally, she would turn her gaze toward the dollhouse, tracing the lines of its facade with her eyes. It really was a very beautiful piece of architecture.

(( Courtyard >> Ground floor kitchen ))

Though delayed a bit by the exhaustion of the run to party, Phillipe soon was bouncing up an down in excitement. Party party party! The head of the little ornament was constantly moving as he took in everything around, the other excitos fascinating but the house even more fascinating. At that moment he decided he had looked enough. It was time to go inside.

When Milena saw Phillipe begin to head towards the house, she immediately followed him, wanting to make sure that he stayed out of trouble. Also, the enthusiastic but silent ornament would need someone to talk for him. It wasn't long before the two of them trotted through the door, and the holly servos did her best to avoid bumping into the multitude of plagues already inside, with the occasional tug on Phillipe's outfit reminding him to do the same.

Catching sight of the two bell plagues that were hosting the party Milena gave a smile and walked over. "This quite the lovely party you have. I would like to thank you for the chance to come," she said. However, she wasn't able to stick around, because at that moment she saw Phillipe wandering off.
"Ah, I must go! Sorry!"

By the time Milena caught up with Phillipe the two plauges were in the kitchen. She stared in awe. Someone had actually set out food for the party. While Milena was too intimidated by the sight to start eating yet, Phillipe had no such inhibitions and was already tearing into a tiny cookie with delight.

(( Courtyard ))

Cassandra gave no objections to her companions going inside, silently grateful for Milena volunteering to take care of Phillipe. He was a nice little excito, but still painfully annoying at times. Not really motivated to do anything, Cassandra decided to simply stay in the courtyard for now, waiting to see if any new plagues would be coming.

[ Moving: Foyer/entryway to dining room. (Hareton and Linton remaining at the entryway.) ]

Prepared to be chaperoned into the dining room for 'nogs' Claudia smiled; finally there might be a touch of class to this gathering. Inside was grandly furnished and had an air of decadence that promised that there could just be some company here that was worthy of her presence – unlike the disorderly rabble outside. However before she could step out of the doorway further into the house and past the servants another excito had barged into her and a waft of fine grey ash was hanging in the air.

You!” Coughed the flower, suddenly fuming. How dare this insolent being barge so inconsiderately into her and stain her with his dirt. “How dare you! What have you got to say for yourself?!” Her face was contorted into an ugly grimace as Clurie stood in front of her. It seemed obvious that he had no intentionally let loose the plume of debris and yet Claudia didn't care. Just as this gathering showed the potential of being relatively interesting and they had been let into this lovely house this idiot had created a mess. A stunted squeezed past her and suddenly something snapped within the flower. This was disgraceful – did nobody have any manners?

Sensing their mistress' anger the bell children swiftly set to work teasing her away from the baggy clothed boy, Cathy batting gently at the ash coated petals to rid them of their covering.

Simultaneously her brawl – the two leaves – confronted Clurie. Of course they were devoid of voices and could not openly condemn him for his carelessness but they could however show their annoyance physically. This was the first conflict they had truly stumbled upon whilst serving the rose and their boyish excitable natures meant that the shove that they gave the ash plague was admittedly rather overzealous. They might have been small individually but both pairs of miniature hands could give quite a shunt!
PostPosted: Sat Feb 05, 2011 4:08 pm

[[ Entryway ]]

And Clurie, being one of the smallest Excito there, had little chance of staying upright after such a rough shove. He hardly knew what was going on, it had happened so fast, but he remembered each moment with stark clarity. Just as he began to spurt apologies like a good gentleman like he had been taught by Clurie, and a few moments after another Exicto addressed him with questions about the house, he felt two pairs of hands against his chest. The air was promptly punched out from his lungs by the flat of their palms and he fell back onto his rump with another cloud of ash.

"Health and living, mum, whoever you are!" Clurie swore with a defensive squeak, sprawled upon the ground. He glared up with hurt at the two leaf guards standing over him and the white lady who stood behind as he smeared his sleeve across his cheeks, lighting them with a defensive glow. His hat was skewed backwards from the fall, exposing the twin patches of ember red on either side of his face and his bottom lip twinged with hurt. "What are you about, pushing me around? I was trying to say sorry!"

Micchi and Minori, distracted from waving at their bell counterparts, heard the squeak of Clurie's defensive voice. Micchi was there in an instant, slipping in between Excitos who filed in the front hallway to stand in front of Clurie. Rolling his sleeves up in a gesture of warning, the silver boy skewed his mouth at them and crowed at them with his high-pitched voice.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Micchi said, puffing up his little chest, "Just what do you think you're doing to my friend, huh, tough guys?"

With a jingle and a jangle, Minori dropped to Clurie's side, helping him up into a seated position. She smiled gently at him and Clurie tightened his mouth back at her, adjusting his hat back to its rightful position on his head. Together, Minori picked Clurie up from the ground and helped pat him down, and with an astonished huff, she narrowed her gaze at Claudia, the pristine white flower.

"He didn't mean any harm," Minori pointed out, "An accident, that's all, or are you too blinded by the stark white of your pretty party dress to see that?"

Clurie turned to Minori, blinking his eyes with surprise at the sharpness of her tone. She hadn't ever spoken like that before, not in his short time of knowing her, but when he looked into her face, he saw something terribly familiar: Love. It was the same kind of look on her face that Chauhn had when he was defending Clurie from any number of mishaps and mistakes, save, this time, it felt rightly placed. This realization made Clurie feel sick to his stomach, and he staggered a bit, only to be steadied by Minori's gentle hands. Why was it that he felt like this were right? But more importantly, why did it make Chauhn's show of devotions seem wrong? What was he feeling? Clurie's face drooped into a haggard hang, weighed down with a disturbing doubt.

XXXXXXCinder smiled as she continued to explore, her eyes wide with excitement as she made sure to memorize every tiny detail she could of the doll house. She watched, touched and felt the wooden building before she dimmed it memorized and moved towards the foyer. Her eyes gave the area a brief but careful look before heading inside, making sure not to bump into anyone. However, the stunted suddenly froze when she heard the voice of the flower and immediately retreated back to Clance who stood only a few steps away. XXXXXX“She’s still very pretty, physically.” He replied before handing Prince over to the other, “Why don’t you and Prince go wander around, but remember to keep out of trouble ok? I don’t want Seymour getting upset because Prince decided that he must have something.”

XXXXXX“Okay Clance.” And with that, the two stunted left to explore the foyer, and as far away from the enraged flower as possible.

XXXXXXWith the two stunted gone, the pipe smiled and headed over towards the table of tiny delicacies. He helped himself to a cup of water before turning his sight to the flower and the ash. Were they fighting? If so, why? You could always just wipe it off, so why bothering getting mad? He took a sip of the drink in his hand before downing the rest and placed the empty cup on the table. Clance allowed himself to count to five before picking up a cup of nog and headed over. He gave the flower a gentle tap on the shoulder, holding the drink away from her to make sure it does not spill, and smiled.

XXXXXX“I’m not sure what you’re mad about, but you look better with a smile Miss Flower. Maybe a cup of nog would help bring back that beautiful smile you showed me before?”

(( Dollhouse; Foyer --> dining room ))

Oh goodness!

Lavelle swayed to and fro, her dress twirling around her waist and tiny ankles as she gave way to such excitement and nervousness as having this many guests in their home at once! It was a good thing they had gotten so many treats or they might not have had enough to feed everyone, let alone offer proper entertainment to the quickly growing number of Excio.

"Oh, oui! Oui!" she giggled happily to Mykolai's question, her chest swelling with pride, "Monsieur Sloane went to great lengths in order to grant us such a place! We love it very much!" Lavelle's tiny hands reached up to her face as something of a golden blush crossed her white features. The sentiment, it seemed, was shared by Chavelle as he leaped toward the purple Excito and giggled with the sound of many bells, "It is so lovely to share it with others!"

Another joined the group, asking a similar question. At first Lavelle thought it male-- the Servos looked so much like Nikolas except in color --but the voice told her enough of her true gender. "Merci! And many thanks for com--" but before she could finish, the poor girl had to dash after a retreating figure "--ing" That was fine, though, there were so many others that needed their attention!

"Chavelle, please check on Grimaud, oui?" and Chavelle chirped, rushing down the stairs from Mykolai and into the adjoining room to the right.

Within stood a tall and red capped musketeer Caedos who was arranging and fluffing pillows. Without turning to face the silver bell, he seemed to realize he was being approached by that specific Servos. "How many are there?" he asked simply, his voice like silken night. Chavelle bounced on his toes, running in place as he attempted to count on his tiny fingers before holding up both hands, digits stretched, "More than this!" and when Grimaud turned to look he merely sighed and looked toward the foyer to see the gathering crowd.

Setting what currently had him preoccupied in its place, he stepped out into the crowd just as something terrible happened; a puff cloud of ash seeped into the chapel, making many of the small ones cough or cover their mouths. Grimaud's glowing white eyes merely narrowed as he peered through the thick black shroud and scoped an abundance of white. Flower petals. My goodness, she looked positively radiant, didn't she? He glanced to Lavelle and then back to the white rose as she turned around and began confronted the source of the ash-- a short and stocky Phasmas that looked absolutely filthy. The Caedos cringed, waving what lingered of the soot from the air and moving through the crowd. Already others were jumping down her throat, either trying to calm her down or to tell her off mattered not to him but as the distance closed there was another Caedos that intruded between him and the white rose.

Pity. Now the moment was stolen. Instead, Grimaud cleared his throat and spoke above all the commotion within the foyer, directing everyone's attention to the dining room; "Everyone, we welcome you to our home! If you please, come to the room to your right where there are cakes and meats, nog and seats! It is time for a glorious party~" he crooned, raising his arms on high and locking eyes with the flower Plague to offer her a crooked grin. Behind him, Lavelle and Chavelle cheered and spun their way into the dining room, leading others along with them.

It was time for the festivities to begin.

((- Moving to Ground Floor; Dining Room -))

Uh oh... At the sound of raised voices and a scuffle near the doorway, Mykolai looked up nervously. Almost without realizing it, she scooted over ever-so-slightly, so that Lavelle was a bit closer to the door than she was. She had been trying hard not to jostle anyone, but in her excitement, had she accidentally bumped one of the other guests? She breathed a tiny sigh of relief when it seemed the offended party was angry with someone else entirely. Phew! In the clear! Still, it might do to be more patient from now on-- and a good sight more careful, as well. She was at a fancy to-do, after all, and should be on her best behavior! (But it was anyone's guess how long she would remember this.)

Mykolai turned her attention back to Lavelle, who was soon joined by a very friendly-sounding silver Plague. The golden bell used a few words that the ornament didn't recognize, but the gist had certainly gotten across, and Lavelle's happy demeanor put to rest any unease that Mykolai might have felt about the disturbance at the door. "It is a beautiful house," she said earnestly; then, recalling her manners, she plucked at the puffy fabric of her pants and gave an awkward little half-curtsy to the pair. "Thank you for having us!"

She turned as the musketeer Plague, daunting and impressive in his leafy red cape and finery, beckoned the gathering toward the dining room. Oh, he made everything sound very exciting! Especially the part about cake and nog! The little Phasmas wasn't even sure what nog was, exactly, but it most definitely sounded like something she'd like to try. As Chavelle and Lavelle danced off, Mykolai made to bound after them, but remembered her pledge to be patient. It would be a shame to cause more trouble so soon! So she made a conscious attempt to keep her steps slow and orderly, filing into the dining area along with the other guests-- though if one looked closely, they would see her feet and legs jiggling with pent-up eagerness.

((- Courtyard -))

Watching the doorway of the house from her position near the fence, Shubin was a bit glad she'd decided to lag behind. They'd scarcely arrived, and already the flowery Plague seemed to be at the nexus of a spat between at least four more Excitos! What a prickly customer she seemed to be. The mistletoe turned her attention away from the chaotic cluster near the foyer and looked over the courtyard, smiling politely and giving a small, formal nod to any Plague whose gaze she happened to meet.

It wouldn't do to stand here all night, she knew. What was the point of attending a party if all she was going to do was cling to the fence like... well, like mistletoe to a tree branch? She just wasn't as socially inclined as the little ornament seemed to be. But if she was going to mingle a bit, she'd have to start somewhere. With that thought, she uncrossed her feet and meandered along the perimeter of the yard.

There was no shortage of stunted Excito like herself-- holly, bright ornaments, and-- ...Well! Shubin stopped short for a moment, her eyes widening a little in surprise as, for the first time, she caught sight of Blaithe leaning against the fence just as she herself had been. She'd certainly never seen any creature as colorful as that, Plague or otherwise! On a whim, she approached the Phasmas as unassumingly as she could.

"Good evening," she began, unsure of what to say next. 'You're very colorful'? That sounded stupid, and surely the other Excito was well aware of it. How did small talk usually start? Unable to think of anything else to make conversation over, she decided to simply start out with an introduction instead. "My name's Shubin," she said with a smile, and offered out a hand to shake. "May I ask yours?"

[Courtyard]

The arguing between Clurie and Claudia, both considered to be friends in Blaithe's mind, had stolen her attention from Sloane as she now watched the many other Excito jump in and take sides. There were a lot of others that she didn't know, but her smile sagged a little as she watched all of the excitement. Even though it wasn't necessarily a good kind of excitement, she was, well... stuck.

Standing in the exact spot where her Grimm had left her, she clung to the fence, which was further from everyone than she would have liked. Her pegged leg was something she was born with, but she hated it from the very first time she tried to walk. Jin-Ho told her that it made her special and different, and admittedly Blaithe really liked the idea of being different, but not at the expense of walking.

Everyone else seemed to have such an easy time with it.

As the young Phasmas watched her counterparts mingle, a timid voice simply handed out a name, grabbing her attention. Turning her head, Blaithe's smile immediately returned once she layed eyes on her new companion; a mistletoe! She had seen a few others there, but they were all so pretty! This one's ribbons were a bit more of a gray color, like the leftovers of burnt-out wood, compared to the others. Her whites and greens stood out against the dull gray and dark black, and she was quite lovely!

"Hi! My name's Blaithe! It's nice to meet you, Shu!" Her smile grew in excitement as she clutched the fence beside them. She had never been exposed to so many other Excito!

As she was about to say something, one of the other Excito, a leaf Caedos, announced that it was time to get started. Blaithe had never been to any parties, and this was quite a time! Turning back to her new companion, she smiled again as she motioned toward the excitement, "Let's go!"

(( Courtyard -> Foyer ))

The house was beautiful.

In awe, the trio of chocolate boys stared and leaned in wishfully at the fence. The Phasmas brother stared dauntingly at Claudia and her army of servants once they opened the gates and relished the attention they'd gotten! Oh, how did the trio not think to do that before them? They hurried immediately through the doors, but not without tipping their hats and greeting with a warm buona giornata! first.

Initial disappointment aside, Dolce walked in from the entryway just behind Claudia and her dutiful servants, and his bumbling twin brothers followed not far behind. How hard it was to live in the shadows, but alas, Dolce felt warmth in the greeting of his Excito kin rejoicing in this splendid-- ah, it was not a reunion, for they were all strangers-- gathering of sorts, and he had easily forgiven the lovely sires and mistresses of this wondrous Mansion for forgetting his and his brothers' special invitations.

While Amaro and Cremoso stared at one another and shook their heads, communicating with each other with the occasional blink and nod of the head, they raced past Claudia and her servants and in front of her, noticing now the negative commotion between her and the other Excitos. Ah, what a chance! The Servos brother lowered his head as the Caedos clamored onto his back and rested his arms against Amaro's head, his hands wrapping the sides of his plump cheeks. He remembered Dolce's reminder well-- one was to roll their tongue especially to give a doting and masculine response.

"Ah, la mia signora, for why do you make this delightful presence of yours to this... ah... most illustrious festa?"

"Surely, she is the honored guest," Amaro sang, his head tottering upward as they continued through the entryway.

Dolce stared with crossed arms at his two bumbling brothers as they continued to talk with Claudia, until at once Amaro teetered from step to step, and the two fell like unstable pillars toward the decorated floor, coughing and chortling at the surrounding ash, only to be replaced by another Caedos, whose black and brown form greeted Claudia with more class than either boys could imagine having! Such was life, Dolce thought, and while his brothers picked themselves up he made quickly to the courtyard for fresh air. He'd desired the edible pleasantries the red musketeer spoke so fondly (and loudly!) of, but his curiosity laid in greeting the guests of the party that were yet to arrive.

(( Courtyard ))

The Phasmas boy noticed a colorful Excito from his point at the foyer, and with slow paces he stopped at the side of the entrance door and placed his hands over the side frame of the door, his heart-embellished face curious and bowing vicariously at the upcoming Excito entrants. He sidestepped away and walked curiously toward Blaithe and her new friends, a hand reaching for his hat as he bowed in abrupt but courtly greeting.

How beautiful they were, two so completely unlike each other! One that reminded him of the glass paintings not far away in the castle, and one whose leafy dress was wrapped in a sultry soot gray...

"Buongiorno, my lovely ladies... may I have the honor of walking you to the home?"
