Uh oh she was late to class! Tahki literally skidded into class out of breath from running. Cold sweat could be seen on the gryphons pale skin and she was panting like a dog would. Clearly Tahki had tried her best to get to class on time. Clearly Tahki had failed her mission.

"T-Tahki Yuki... HERE!" Her hands found her way to her mouth. Pretty much she'd just yelled here for no reason. Soon there after Tahkis cheeks flushed red as she found a seat near Israfel and quickly opened her book to hide behind. Awkwardness hung so thick around Tahki it could have been cut with a knife. Awkwardness had a tendency to follow the gryphon girl where ever she went.

Christof shuffled down the hallway, feeling sore still after their horrible class trip as he rummaged through his paperwork again. Hell, it seemed he was late. That's what he got for being a good Igor and bringing Barth breakfast that morning... the guy hadn't even gotten up to TAKE it from him, and he had simply left it among the others to rot on the boil's desk before sneaking out the window again and hurrying this way. Being new, he had missed the first class, and suddenly he was terrified he might have missed something important. No matter, he was here now, and would catch up quickly.

Slinking in, he spotted several familiar faces, which brightened his mood considerably- especially at the sight of those familiar long, luscious lavender legs folded neatly under Sin's desk. With a shuddering sigh, he politely slid an introduction card that read "Hello my name is Christof" onto his new teacher's desk with a polite bow before retreating to one of his own towards the back where hopefully he wouldn't be called on to answer any questions, strategically positioned close enough to Sin to at least occupy his attentions while the more boring parts of class were going on.

Cadmus was pleased with his class. It was filling up and there were even new students that had missed his brief introduction class.

"Good morning to you all, Specially those I have not previously said good morning too..."

He paused in thought. He wasn't even sure if he'd said good morning to any of his students. He had certainly seen them. answered a question for one, but he couldn't seem to wrap his mind around if he'd actually said good morning. A minute rolled by and he mumbled something
Fu...fu...fu..."
The he shook his had and grinned a lopsided grin before continuing on with class.

"For those who did not pick up the worksheet I suggest you take notes and pick one up before you leave for the day. This is very important information that is dire to your survival. Specially when it comes to dealing with others."

Not that he'd have anything to do with needing the knowledge on a first hand basis.

"Now we did our introductions last time and it would seem most of you if not all of you know someone or other in the class. So Class discussion time. I know all of you were diligent looked through your books so today's class will end when I get some participation to answer the questions on the worksheet."

He was glad things he thought would go well. He hoped he'd not have to call upon anyone to answer because he sought an answer from everyone, or some participation in the least.

"For those of you who did not remember you book. Extras are in the back on the room."

He motioned to the back of the room with a wave of his hand. Then he turned to the black board and where the board was clean he began to write.

Monster:________________

"Now class who can tell me how many herbs and plants there are that are dangerous to Monsters? And if someone and can tell me each of the plants or herbs names. And Please only one answer per person."

He knew there were three and that as a result four students would be needed to answer. He would just wait for them to speak up, and hopefully any stragglers would show up before they missed too much.

If Livi had been paying a bit more attention to the class schedule, he would have noticed that the Botany class had an intro. class earlier that he should have, most likely, gone to. And if he had known about it, he would have been there. Sadly, he hadn't been aware, as he had been focused on practicing for the school play at the time, but he was there now. Hopefully the professor wouldn't mind that he had come by shortly after that first class had ended and got a book for this class. So many things to do at this school and so little time to get it properly factored in. It was driving his sense of routine insane. Ah well.

Hearing the sounds of the teacher speaking was the sounds that he was late. Really? Well, that was unpleasant. He couldn't even be fashionably late now! A sigh left him as he shrugged after a bit and just went in anyway. Botany. The study of plant-life and its effects on you or some such stuff. He wasn't sure if he'd like it, but if he was really going to be doing the whole school thing, might as well start taking the classes and find out.

And besides, having additional knowledge about things could never hurt, right? Thankfully, Cadmus had finished speaking when he came in, so he wouldn't be interrupting or anything. He bowed a bit before the teacher, shifting his shoulder pack off his shoulders once he found a seat to settle into, pulling out the needed book, a notebook and his pen. Hopefully he hadn't missed too much.

She had gone from sitting attentively (sort of) in her seat to being slouched down, the tip of her tail moving as other students milled in. She recognized some from the...horrible freezing experience through the town of Christmas. But so far, no one she had actually spoken to was here. That was to be expected, she guessed. LW had yet to meet very many people. Still, she kept hoping someone she knew would walk through the door.

Those violet eyes had started to droop a little as she waited for something to happen. She managed to look more awake when the Professor started speaking. Oh right. Worksheet. She had glanced at that. Her nose wrinkled as she glanced at the book on her desk. It smelled funny. But, she had at least glanced through it. Purely out of curiosity. Then two of her pets had gotten in their usual fight and the she-wolf became distracted and...forgot to actually read the book.

BUT...she knew one of the answers to the Professors question! It was kind of hard to be a monster and not know at least parts of the answer. She looked around to see if anyone around her was going to answer first. With a soft groan, LW hesitantly put her hand in the air before speaking.

"Uh, I know Kibblers is one." The she-wolf wasn't actually sure on how many plants were dangerous to her kind. She just knew two big ones. "Evil things those are." She muttered a little softer.

Whoops, class had begun. Riley's attention was now focused solely on the teacher, although she'd sent a wayward Well hello again to Tahki when she saw the gryphon enter. As the question had been asked, Riley's hand raised instantly. She had the common sense to wait until she had been called upon, at first - but when she saw a student raise their hand and then answer, she figured that was how this class worked, and followed suit. Drawing upon the full resource of the class book that had been digested and then transmitted back to the hivemind, she pulled up a possible answer and sent it to the teacher - her thought could also be heard by the entire class, so that they would not repeat her answer. Proper classroom etiquette, and all.

Deadly Nightshade is harmful in general, so I shall assume this is also the case for monsters. It sounded delicious, though.

Watching everyone from the rear of the classroom, Christof thumbed through his new text book, frantically trying to catch up. Plants that are harmful to monsters? He vaguely could remember a few, but which- oh! He quickly wrestled with his snakey holiday pen to scribble his answer down on a piece of notebook paper, raising his hand enthusiastically before showing the answer to the teacher in his scribbly hand writing "Wolfsbane". That was supposed to keep werewolves at bay, right? Hence its name? It might have been a trick, though... Oh hell, why did he miss the first class??

Israfel bumped Tahki as she sat near, a smile on his face. He felt quite happy now, surrounded by those he had the privilege to call friends. Briefly he wondered if she still played the drums. Maybe they could get the band together! And practice! His voice did need a good way to exercise after all. "You still do the drums? Is Amrita still on guitar? Do you think if we practice real hard next year we can make it?" Earwings flapped up. "I think we can."

The teacher's question got his attention however, and the siren was left going "ummmm" and "errrrrr" The toterror he kept in his pocket wiggled about, not enjoying the feeling of Israfel picking at his jacket while he tried to recall what he had read the night before. He did remember, if for a time. Raising his hand, the Siren waited until he was called to deliver what he was sure was something bad for monsters. "Kitty nips!" Wait. Not right. Bluching he corrected himself. "Um, uhh....I mean...catnip?" He posed it at a question feeling a tad foolish for his fumble.

"Hemlock is a dangerous herb... I don't know if that counts but I'd assume us monsters could be killed from it," Oh god it wasn't specifically for monsters but Tahki wanted to give answering a try. It was evident in her voice that she was a tad unsure of her answer.

A smile curled on the gryphon's face at the friendly brain bump from Riley and the friendly real bump from Israfel. She gave Riley a small friendly wave in greetings.

"Drums, y-yeah I'd love to give it a shot assuming I don't knock us out again," Her voice was kept to a low whisper as to not distract the class. "We can beat them next year. Maybe I'll use a baseball bat instead of drum sticks," The last part was a sad attempt at a joke.

Cadmus was please with the response he was getting. It was pleasant to know that some of the plants that were dangerous across the board to everyone were cropping up in the discussion.

"Good Good. This is all so well. Please do keep them coming."

With a quick rushed movement he wrote another line on the board.

Plants Universally Dangerous:______________

He also jotted down the plants that had been called out as well. The mandrake, deadly night shade, and hemlock going down on his new line and catnip, wolfsbane, Kibblers.

He grinned. Things were going splendid. At this rate they'd have class over soon.

West sat up a little straighter, raising his hand halfway before answering, "White Willow. It makes'ya sick an'nothin' cures'ya."

In an effort to be contradictory, the wrath demon had began reading the textbook from back to front and, displaying a distinct lack of effort, he had only managed to finish reading from Z to U. Speaking of books, he hadn't brought his to class. Maybe it was time to pick one up. Eh, later.

Tsetsiliya had been so busy jotting down the replies to the professor's last question that the opportunity to answer herself slipped by. She felt thoroughly disappointed in herself. She should have been paying more attention - she'd only just spent the whole evening reading the blasted text!

Luckily though, there were always more questions. And setting the pencil down neatly next to her notes and timidly raising her hand into the air, she was ready for this one.

"C-Cowbane?" she suggested. "T-that would be, i-if you are able to find it, as it is very much rare.."

Her face was scrunched up in a cute way while she tried to think of any universally dangerous plants that hadn't been called yet. So far, she was coming up blank. Alright, so she wasn't as up to date with plants! And she felt slightly embarrassed that she hadn't said Wolfsbane right off the bat. Oh the stress that a class could put on you. Not that this was a stressful class or anything.

Wait. There was one that might be an answer. What was it again...something simple. Oh right. "Um...i-is basil considered universally d-dangerous?" She asked in a small hesitant voice. That was it, wasn't it? Oh she was confusing herself even more now.

LW slunk a little farther down in her chair and was careful not to clank any of the bells she wore.

Carthusia had been so absorbed in reading the text that she hadn't even noticed that class had started! She skidded to a halt at her desk and tried not to heave. How embarassing! This was supposed to be GOOD IMPRESSION ON THE TEACHER TIME. Startled out of her mind, the demon set the book down gently so as to seem normal. Natural, right? Cautiously, she sifted through the book and raised her hand to try and answer the question. "Would Nightshade be another? It's quite deadly, according to the book." The demon was prepared to point to the paragraph in defense. Gah, the day was ruined already!
