Tanto began to move quicker as her paws began to get cold. She knew if they got to cold they would have to find a cave and hide in it for awhile. Tanto wasn't sure how Kaya would react to that but if worst came to worst they would find out. "No, I don't have a mate. I haven't had time to look. Been helping my mother and what not."

"Helping your mother out with what? Cool ninja type stuff? Or hunting and gathering?" Kaya asked, following the other female. It was starting to get colder and Kaya knew that in these parts, snow was likely to start falling soon. They weren't going to get very far.

"Mostly ninja stuff but some of the other normal things that one would do," she said almost absent mindedly while glancing up at the sky. The clouds where becoming grayer and looking quite heavy. Snow was on its way she decided. "Come lets find a cave I think there is going to be a storm soon"

Kaya risked a quick glance at the sky and sped up a little. "Yeah, I'm thinking it's going to snow for a couple of hours at least." Kaya pointed out. She didn't have much of a sense of direction, but she'd been wandering for a long time and Kaya knew weather patterns like the back of her paw. "You...you don't mind sharing a cave right?" Kaya asked, after all, she probably wouldn't be able to find one on her own.

Tanto moved off towards the left looking for a cave. "If it last a few hours that would be nice but if it last more that might cause us some problems." she spoke while eying the sky. She pulled short when Kaya asked if she could be in a cave with her. "Of course you can. I wouldn't have it any other way. It times like these its best to have numbers."

"I think it's going to last at least till night fall. I don't know if it will last all night, though." Kaya replied. She risked another glance up at the sky and shuddered; it was going to be a cold night. The cat-fox was glad that Tanto would allow her to stay in the same cave; the two of them could keep each other warm throughout the snowstorm. Veering to the left with Tanto, Kaya barely made out a black smear against a pile of rocks. "I...I think that's a cave there, Tanto."

Tanto nudged the cat fox forward toward the cave that she had found. "We will have to stay in till morning than to be on the safe side." she said while gazing around to make sure nothing was tracking them. After she made sure nothing was following she joined Kaya in the cafe.

Kaya bounded into the cave, shuffling over to make room for Tanto and looked back outside. The two vixen had been just quick enough, the black cat fox noted, watching the first few flakes fall to join the piles of snow on the ground. Sighing, Kaya sat and looked over at Tanto, sending the other vixen a grin. "I agree. I wouldn't want to try to leave early and get stuck in a blizzard."

Tanto shook of the snow once she made it safely inside the cave. " It would be dangerous to get caught in a blizzard,"she spoke in between licks of her fur trying to get the ice off.

Kaya nodded and curled her tail around her frozen paws for warmth. She looked around the cave to see if there was anything edible, but all she could make out was a few mushroom. Kaya was leary of mushrooms, she'd seen a squirrel eat one and poison itself. "It's going to be a long night. You're lucky you're wearing those clothes. I bet you're warmer than I am at the moment." Kaya smiled and folded herself into a ball.

Tanto peered down at her self and realised she was better equipped for this weather just for the fact a lone of having shorts. That wouldn't do. She had far better training to deal with the cold than Kaya thanks to her mother being a ninja in all. So with that thought she quickly took off her shorts and set them down in front of Kaya. "Here take them. They will help you a lot."[/b]

"B-but...you'll be cold now." Kaya pointed out, blinking up at Tanto. She didn't want her new friend to freeze because of her. She looked around, hoping something that could be used as a blanket would magically appear in the small, empty cave they had gotten themself into.

Tanto laughed. "Don't worry wear em. I should be fine. My mother had me train in harsh environments. Its part of being a ninja right? Being able to do things others aren't" she said with a smile than walked closer and sat by Kaya's side.

Kaya watched Tanto in concern for a bit, but finally nodded because she really was very cold. Kaya wiggled into the shorts and immediately felt better with the warmth that had already infused the fabric. "Thank you, Tanto." Kaya said softly, snuggling into the ninja fox to share the warmth. The cat fox wound her tail around Tanto's and smiled.

"Your welcome Kaya."Tanto said as she laid her head in her paws and closed her eyes. She willed her self to think of warm places so that her body would warm up. When she felt something brush against her. Opening an eye she seen that it was Kaya. For a moment she stared than shrugged it off and warped her tail around the cat foxes body to help her get warm.
