"Oh. Um, yes. I had to enter... stuff into a file and such. The computer was explained at the same time. I know how to do that." The grunt then wrinkled her nose as she was given her assignment of beaker cleaning. She looked especially wary upon noticing Newton's reaction to this assignment.
"Um. Okay, so cleaning supplies are in the janitor's closets, that sounds straight forward enough.. But, why does your pokemon look like he's just heard I've been assigned to work in a Seviper pit? Lab 12 can't be so bad can it?" Then she seemed to think of something else to ask too. "Oh! And, beaker cleaning; do we have machines for that, or do I need a sink? Someone tried to prank me at the university with a small bit of rubidium once before... Should I look out for similar things here?"
Palu coo'd and warbled unhappily, trying to place herself firmly between Tambrey and the balloon pokemon. She also eyed Newton suspiciously when he made a gasping action. What was so bad about this 'lab 12' and why was her trainer to start working there?

"Oh, don't worry about him. He's just being dramatic." Newton placed his hands on his 'hips' and pouted deeply at this claim. "But Lab 12 does have quite a lot of beakers. We have one ultrasonic cleaning machine to each lab, but I recommend using the sink as well. Use the machine for particularly nasty beakers."
Oh cleaning duty, something she would never miss about being a new scientist in the labs. "I don't think you'll have to worry about pranks, not down here. We have separate bins for 'volatile substance' beakers, so you should be fine." Nyx smiled reassuringly. It really wasn't so bad, and once you got past the initiation part of your time in the labs, working there was very fun.
"Alright, if there's nothing else, I'll be going."

"Aheh. Right. One machine, one sink... a lot of beakers..." Tambrey seemed, still, to be making checklists in her head of the things she was told. She nodded a little "Oh, well, um, good" as Nyx assured her that there would be a lack of pranks around the labs; thinking about it, it did seem like a really rather controlled environment after all, give or take the pokemon, perhaps.
"Separate bins... Worst beakers not in them to go to machine. Hm. I think I can get all that. Palu can stay out of her ball in the labs or should I get her to go back? Apart from that, that's all I can think of to ask. I'm sorry to have kept you from your work and I'm sure I'll get the hang of things and I'll have the beakers cleaned to the best I can, as quick as I can. Er. Should I check the computer when I'm done, or just come and find you or someone?"
Palu warbled quietly in a grumble at the idea of being cooped back up; she didn't want to go back when there was this whole new place to see. Besides, that Drifblim wasn't being recalled.

"No, she can stay out. As long as the pokemon don't cause trouble, or get in the way, they can be out." Newton was out almost constantly, and even helped Nyx with things around the lab. "It seems you have the gist of things. Just check the computer when you're done. If you need anything, I'll be around."
Nyx smiled, "It was nice to meet you, Tambrey." She waved casually at the girl and left; There was science to do.
