"Got it!" The boy still seemed rather cheery despite these constant threats of whatever Heather was going to make him wear. It couldn't be THAT bad, right? She knew him! She lived with him! She knew what kind of stuff he liked to wear, there was no way she'd force him into something too different....right?
Right!
Demy led the way towards the food court, bag in hand as he strolled just a bit ahead of Heather. It wasn't like she could really lose him in the crowds or anything, it was Demy after all.
Soon enough they stood at the edge of the food court, Demy's eyes bright as he scanned the various stands of super awesome food. "What are we getting Heather? Something DELICIOUS right?"

Oh, if only the poor boy had known. Perhaps after this little ordeal to come, he'd think twice about just mindlessly agreeing to something. Little life lessons were the best. She'd prepared herself for the whining that was to come later as well. Nope, no amount of puppy dog eyes was going to get him out of this one.
"It's a food court, Demy. You can pick whatever you want. Not like we have to get the same thing." Which was a good thing. It had become painfully apparent, at Heather's house, that their palates were two very different creatures. Though she was slowly luring him into healthier food. It was just a slow, and painful process filled with learning how to make food not appear healthy.
It was more work than she had anticipated.
"Just, promise me no tacos for this early in the morning?"

Too late, he was gone. Looking for him would immediately spot the blonde in line.
For tacos UGH.
It didn't take him very long to obtain his delicious, if greasy, food. Awesome tacos obtained he had wandered his way to a table and quickly plopped down. Hopefully Heather would be able to spot him when she got out of line with her own food. Not..that it was very easy to misplace Demetri Wright. Not even if one wanted to.
He hungrily dug into his food, a growing boy had to eat after all!
