I'm used to opening my own doors and splitting the checks He introduced me, was always just a friend I bought a new dress, he never noticedScarlet Macey Blaire Macey raised an eyebrow and laughed some more. He enjoyed that kiss? The one that happened all those years ago? Wow, was he seriously missing some romance in is his life that he could say he kinda enjoyed that little peck? Weird. Of course she thought that weird, he hadn't kissed her recently to compare the difference. Hold on. Yup, Mace knew she was well on her way to getting wasted. If she didn't pace the drinks out better, she'd be outta it.
However, it wasn't going to happen because she really didn't care if she was outta it, wasted, whatever you wanted to call it. "Sorry for laughing. But....how could you have kinda enjoyed that kiss....It was like...over in a millisecond...just a simple peck..." She asked quizzically before taking her drink in hand and sipping on it to occupy herself. She was curious. Curious meant a bit confused, actually. Maybe he'd clarify..
Personally, she didn't remember much other than the fact that she ran screaming from the room. She couldn't say she actually remembered the feeling of those pretty lips of his against hers. Mace thought back a moment. Nope, she definately didn't remember that. It hadn't been a focus of the time. The main focus for her was the whole not getting to be sweet sixteen and never been kissed thing. Always falling for these bad boys, such a challenge I'm getting tired, of cleaning up after them I think I'm ready to be a woman

Ty thought about it, but he was far too drunk to even come up with a reason why he said it. "Well, because it was you, I guess." he said, chuckling as he downed what was left in his glass. He smiled at her. "Come on. I thought you're pretty, never thought the same about me? How about we try that kiss again, but for real this time, see if it's better?" he asked with a grin.

I'm used to opening my own doors and splitting the checks He introduced me, was always just a friend I bought a new dress, he never noticedScarlet Macey Blaire Macey blushed lightly as he said it was because it had been her. It was almost unbelieveable. At least to her. Come on, she was only, like, eleven at the time. "I was pretty? At the age of eleven...No boobs...no curves...no makeup...Yeah, like I believe that...." She trailed off in thought.
They had looked through family albums recently. Mainly to put together a collage of Marvin's life. Her mind drifted to a picture of her at that age. Her hair was in a bob. A horrible short bob, just above her shoulders. Her hair looked quite horrid when it was short. She had vowed she'd never get it cut that short again a few years ago. She couldn't cope with the trauma it gave her. Well, that was a bit extreme, but she never, ever felt pretty with short hair.
"Wait...what?" Mace asked as her mind replayed his last statement in her mind. He wanted to try that kiss again? She took yet another sip while she thought. If they did, she probably wouldn't freak out this time. No, she wouldn't. "You want to try that kiss....again? I mean, I know it will be better...but why?" . Ty grinned. Yeah, he had thought she was pretty back then, but not because of her outer appearance...he had always had a bit of a thing for her from that moment on, no matter what she thought of how she looked. "Why not?" he asked in response to her question. It couldn't hurt, right? "I always wanted to know what it really would feel like to kiss you." he added. Being drunk was a hell of a thing.

I'm used to opening my own doors and splitting the checks He introduced me, was always just a friend I bought a new dress, he never noticedScarlet Macey Blaire Macey thought about it. Would it be awkward to kiss her brother's best friend? Maybe. Maybe not. If he was still alive, how would Marvin take it? He might not mind, seeing as he got Ty to kiss her all those years ago. Then again, they had grown up since then. Maybe Marvin would think that it might be an opportunity to make his best friend his brother-in-law. Or, he'd absolutely hate the whole thing.
Mace definately blushed at his last statement. He'd always wondered?Huh. She wouldn't have guessed. Now she was actually considering it. She wasn't just going to up and kiss him, though. No, he wanted to have a re-do, it would be a re-do. She finished off another glass and sat it down on the table, leaving her hands unoccupied.
"Alright....but..." Macey said before closing her eyes. "It's a re-do, so it's a suprise.." She sat there, eyes closed, waiting to see if he was going to make his move. At least she knew what was coming this time. Now, the nervousness could actually hit her while she waited. Ty also wondered how Marv would take it. Well, he hoped he didn't mind, because Ty kinda liked Macey. She was nice, and had always been nice to him. So of course he liked her. He smiled at her statement and nodded, downing what was in his glass as well, before leaning in, slipping a hand behind her head, and kissing her on the lips, holding it for a good time before pulling back.

I'm used to opening my own doors and splitting the checks He introduced me, was always just a friend I bought a new dress, he never noticedScarlet Macey Blaire Macey felt the butterfly's grow in her stomach as she awaited the kiss from Tyler. When his lips finally touched hers, she knew she blushed. It had happened once before, so Marvin probably wouldn't be suprised if it happened again. Maybe, her brother was trying to play matchmaker all those years ago. It would have been funny if he had been.
Mace wrapped an arm loosely around his neck, feeling it was only right since he had a hand behind her head. Before she knew it, his lips were gone, and she opened her eyes. Her gaze met his and she gave Ty a tentative smile. "So...I haven't run off screaming..." She said with a laugh. Mentally, she wondered what he thought of it. Was it like he thought it would be, or was it just the same as years ago. "Well....what did you think?"
Macey had to ask. She wouldn't answer first, if he returned the question. Oh, no..she was smarter than that. She added more to her glass as she waited for Tyler's response. More like anxiously awaited. However, she sipped on the drink like it was no big deal. Focusing on that distracted her mind quite well. . The kiss had been great. Ty enjoyed every little moment of it. He smiled right back at her. "I loved it. You've got really sweet lips, Macey." he said, filling up his own glass. He smiled still. "Well, what did you think of it? Did you like it too?" he half teased.

She could really feel the buzz going now. It was enjoyable. Plus, she wasn't feeling sick, which was always a good thing. "My lips are sweet? Huh....I never noticed." She noted idly, off in her thought process. "Thanks!" She replied to the compliment.
What did she think? Hmmm. She wasn't quite sure. Her brain sorted through the information she had gathered while he had kissed her. "I think it was a safe kiss...not unpleasant....but safe..." She stated, still lost in thought. "I did like it....but it was simple. I couldn't tell if there was emotion behind it.." She rambled on. Her train of thought tended to do that.
"Sorry for the over analyzing.." Mace gave him a half smile in apology. Then she was suddenly aware of something. She had taken in quite a bit of liquid within the past hour or so. "I'll be back..." She said, standing up and making her way to the bathroom. She definatley felt a bit tipsy, but she was able to walk straight. Good, she didn't want to embarass herself by tottering along to the bathroom, weaving back and forth. "A safe kiss?" Ty teased with a grin. Now that he'd never heard of before. He chuckled. "As opposed to an unsafe kiss?" he teased, nudging her gently. He nodded as she got up. "If you're sick, text me or something." he said without thinking really. Alcohol had a tendency to do that for him.

Of course she wasn't going to get sick! She wasn't going to let herself. Plus, she didn't feel unwell in the slightest. She just needed to go to the bathroom. Which she did.
A few minutes later, she came back to the table and sat down next to Tyler once again. "Yes...a safe kiss..." She continued on from earlier. "It didn't show any emotion, didn't reveal anything...was merely longer than a peck on the lips. Otherwise, it wasn't a real noteworthy one...." She rambled in explanation. Maybe he'd understand, now, what a safe kiss was. Well, at least in her book.
Mace went to pour herself another glass, and frowned at the empty pitcher. She called a server over and ordered a different drink, but just as strong. She wanted to try something else, and so far, her grief was disappearing.. "Ah." Ty said when she came back. He'd downed another drink in the meantime, and was going to regret it in the morning. "Well, that sucks, because I was actually planning on putting some emotion behind it." he said. He smiled. "Come on, don't you like me even a little?" he asked after a bit.

However, she was quickly distracted by Tyler's statement. He was going to put emotion behind it? Wow. Umm. How was Mace supposed to take that?
"I never said that I didn't like you...." She said rather quickly, a faint blush coming to her cheeks. Now that she thought about it. She kinda did like him. Mace knew Tyler was a nice guy. She usually didn't date too many nice guys, but she still liked Ty nonetheless... Tyler smiled. He leaned over and kissed her again on the lips. "Well, I really like you. A lot. I think I might even love you, Macey." he said. Alcohol was great. It made the normally quiet Tyler quite outgoing, especially with his feelings. "Do you like me like that too?"

Then even more so when Tyler said he might love her. That was really sweet of him, but how was she supposed to respond to that. She sure as heck didn't know. She turned her red face away from Ty and filled up her empty glass.
The new drink was sweeter than the last one. It probably had Amaretto or something like it in it. She drank it to keep her mouth occupied while she thought. Yes, she didn't need Tyler to sneak kiss her again while she thought of an answer for him. After a moment or so, there was only one statment coming to mind. "I might....I'm not really certain....." She said aloud, not able to look at him while she said it.
"I know I care for you...but I don't know in what way...If that makes any sense..." She trailed off, picking up his hand and holding it. "I can't say no, because I'm sure that's not the answer though..." Always falling for these bad boys, such a challenge I'm getting tired, of cleaning up after them I think I'm ready to be a woman
