It was much too cold. Ren let out a sneeze, reaching up his free hand to cover his mouth as he dis so, muffling the sound. Around him were the rest of the students who had been in the car with him, straggling along and looking a little worse for the wear.
Why are we doing this again? he mused to himself, sneezing again. The movement sent a ripple up and down his spine and the bags fell from his hand as he rapidfire shifted to his gryphon form, then back to his human form again, all within a mere ten seconds. He swore. Loudly. This is so damn annoying and unnecessary.
Hauling his bags back over his shoulder, Ren stuck one of his hands into his pocket and ambled along through the snow.
"Aaaaccchhooooooo!"

Even though Alcie had attempted to put on a smile, Alcie couldn't help but be a little concerned about how they were going to accomplish this task at the same time. Yeah, the battling and stuff sounded exciting but it seemed like there was going to be more to this than just fighting off things. Stamina wasn't exactly her thing but she was going to attempt to muster up everything she could for this trip. Catching her drift, Alcie lowered her voice as she spoke, "I haven't made it all the way through but I've been chased out by plenty of beasts." Though, she was sure that these beasts weren't just alerted by noise. Looking around back and forth, Alcie already heard the rustling and noises around them.
"Yeah. This isn't exactly the most ideal place to battle in either. We have to keep our chins up though and do our best. We're stuck in this situation so we might as well make sure we get out." This mentality was a result of all of the running around and trouble Alcie had been through. She knew that there was no point moaning about everything that had already gone wrong. If they were to get out of here alive, a different mentality was needed. Nodding and sending a reassuring smile at Sin, Alcie tried to keep everybody's heads high. "It'll be alright, Sin."

((Winston totes wants to help Sarias, like a gentleman.))
Was he really the only one moving easily through the snow? Long legs and large paws had their advantages apparently as he trotted along at a brisk pace. He had to stop though when he finally looked back to notice he'd gone a tad bit too far ahead.
He backtracked, circling around the current group to catch up on the conversation. He hadn't spoken to any of them while on the train. He did bark out a laugh at the serpent though. "I'm sure we'll be fine. We are in a big group." And, while he didn't always look it, he was pretty solid, and did have a nasty bite when he needed to use it. He was pretty useless in the helpful department though. He lacked hands, making his options rather limited. There was another ghost though, and he trotted along side her. "Do you need any 'elp with that love?" he asked curiously. She looked very light. Perhaps she wasn't used to a form so solid? He may not have been much use otherwise, but he could easily carry another pack. The perks of his true for was that he was far more durable in the ability to carry, or often, drag things. Something about fours legs made it far easier to carry bags he would have otherwise had to drag hopelessly behind him as a human.

Sin's voice had lowered to a seductive whisper, not that she was trying to seduce Alcie but when she whispered it just tended to sound that way. She really didn't need to add noise as yet another way for things to find them. Could the creatures that lived off joy smell their fear, did it make them want to attack? Sin wished they had covered some more festive creatures in her classes and not just those of Halloween town. She looked at Alcie with a nod, the maze was hard and full of hidden dangers, she had no doubt this forest would be the same.
"Same...this place will probably be just as bad..."
Then she saw how Alcie was trying to lift her spirits and she forced a smile. She nodded and held up the bells feeling a little better thanks to her friends pep talk. "Yeah, as long as we watch each others backs. I just want us to all get out of this okay, and if we got some loot from Sandy Claws it wouldn't hurt either." She grinned and gave Alcie a wink perking up a bit and even kicking up a little snow.

Gabrian scowled. He scowled for all he was worth. He scowled as much as his reptilian features allowed him to; which was, amusingly enough, quite a lot, "Not big enough," he hissed out darkly at the dog, "Not nearly big enough," the fact the mutt seemed to be having no trouble bouncing through the snow was only making the serpent scowl even more so, "Stupid snow. It is most certainly not appreciated," he hissed sharply at no one in particular as he slithered along, still grumpy. There was very little trace of the once calm, polite, violin playing boil from the train ride.
In his defense though, he was cold, he was sour, and he was slithering through snow.
His gaze slipped over to both Sin and Alcyone as they joined the group, "I AM being optimistic. Doom is being optimistic," he snorted at the water demoness, "You don't want to hear what my less optimistic outlooks for this trip are," just as he finished that phrase, he felt the same, strangely familiar sensation from before, and he suddenly reverted right back to human form.
The demon blinked, and then let out a relieved sigh as he brushed himself off slightly, "At least carrying the damned bag is easier like this," he felt slightly naked without his violin, but there was nothing he could do to correct that, at the moment. He also felt strangely vulnerable knowing his FEAR did not work here, "I've been to that maze," he murmured to Sin, "Strange, horrible place. Got to the end, when this weird horse thing chased me out. Most embarrassing," a pause as he noticed even in this form, the snow was slowly getting to him; his shoes were, after a few steps, soaked trough, "I do NOT like snow. I prefer water in it's liquid, warmer state," though he had to admit that standing over snow made him feel... slightly better than he had in the train, even if it was cold, "I wish it weren't this cold."

Quarria's huge wings gave a light flap as she glided into the area where her group was supposed to be. She heard some voices and tracks, one being mysteriously similar to her own snake-y trail, and another being a pawed animal's, among them. She wondered for a moment if her train friend was up this way. She pulled her wings closer to her body for a second, and began sliding off through the snow after them.
She spotted some figures and creatures just around the corner, and quickened her pace to catch up with them. Finally, she'd found her group. She gave a light sigh of relief, and then began to wonder again if she'd see her friend again. Then, she heard the sound of an accent talking, to a ghostly girl, the same accent she'd heard from the boy on the train, coming from a huge (in dog perspective; she could have eaten him in about two bites as she was.) ghostly dog. A dog with a scarf and the fancy necklace! She quickly slithered in the animal's direction, leaving a long, single track in her wake.
"Excuse me!" She called, her voice sounding a bit strange coming from her natural mouth. She slid to the side of the two ghostly people, lowering her head so she could speak with them on eye-level. She looked at the hound. "Excuse me, but you wouldn't happen to be my friend from the train, would you?" She said, then quickly shook her head at her own ignorance. He wouldn't realize it was her in this form. She blinked and spoke again. "It's me, Quarria. The girl with wings that sat by you on the train before we crashed. The one who slep through everything under the heater. I'm glad I found you." She spoke, beginning looking around at the group. There was another serpent (although he quickly shifted forms) in this group; maybe they could figure out what to do about the snow later. You know, since they had to regulate their blood temperatures, or at least she did. Man, that'd be so hard now that she was huge.
(Amphitheres her age are about thirty feet long, for the group's information. )

Her tail was wrapped around her legs in an attempt to keep somewhat warm. It was to Jacking cold out here! She did not like the snow. And that feeling hadn't gone away yet which was putting her on edge until she figured out what it meant. Not to mention she hadn't seen any of the familiar faces she was looking for yet. LW did see fellow students she recognized from the student council party. But what about Basil, Kilo, Ren and the reaper that had won the bells? Those were the students that had been sitting around her. Well, Basil had moved, but the others!
A gnome was directing students into smaller groups by the car they had been on. Ah, so poor Gromble car was getting together again. Great. What new and 'exciting' things were they all in store for? Arms crossed to keep herself warm, the she-wolf trudged through the snow towards the other Gromble's, really hating how her feet felt numb. But shoes were so overrated She didn't like them.
She looked around the group of Gromble's as she joined them, pleased to see that so far, a majority of them were there. Maybe they had been lucky and had very few 'casualties'? Of course they may not be so lucky out here now. There was just sooo much white it was blinding.

Sin felt bad for Gabrian even as he popped back into a two legged form. She agreed with him about the miserable maze, the icy snow, and she understood his lack of optimism. Still Alcie had cheered her up she she wasn't about to fall back into doom and gloom. Besides Sin liked being happy, she was out to keep herself pleased and it pleased her to ignore the cold, and flounce through this deceptively festive forest as if nothing were wrong. Except that her chest felt tight from the tension of knowing they would eventually have to fight, and from the ice cold air she breathed in with each step.
Would they make it all the way to Sandy Claws workshop only to face an army of elves? Were elves like joyful gnomes? Would Sandy Claws just let them storm in or would he be angry and fight them? A whirlwind of questions ran through her mind but she kept them to herself and just smiled at Gabrian wryly. "Don't worry Alcie and I will protect you, we have to make sure you're still alive for our party."

After reconnecting with Draven the werewolf let himself be ushered to the path his group was taking. "I hope everyone survives this..." He whispered looking to Draven. They'd already been through a lot and now this raid, though it wouldn't all be fun and raiding. There would be battling and attacks.
"Though I'm sort of excited to be battling things..." Even without the use of fear or natural abilities. Now though they needed to find a certain scarecrow, where could he be. He hoped he was alright, though Alerick suspected he was since he was a scarecrow, so didn't have a form like a person on the inside...he was just straw and fabric, right? So he likely came out of this better then some.
Looking over those he'd seen on the train he smiled lightly. At least it seemed everyone here was well enough, though he himself had a headache and was sore. "Think we'll make it to the Sandy Claws' work shop Draven?" Bending to scoop up some snow he licked at the fluffy, cold, wet stuff. "A sort of...crisp and almost fresher taste then water." Over all...he liked this snow stuff, it was good and he was sure it could be flavored and made into a very good cold treat.

While strange, the scent did match up. It was his friend Quarria. Bloody Candlejack had she grown. It seemed her school pen had broken as well. Hopefully she'd at least had the time to gather herself a weapon. Given, she was rather huge enough to do without. He would have run around her in pleasant circles, as dogs are liable to do, but she was a tad too big for him to easily trot around and he'd rather save his speed across snow for when he needed it. He did wag his tail though, whisps of smoke moving about behind him. "Where did you get off ta? I tried to find ya at the crash site, but we all got movin' when the gnomes called."
They'd been thrown apart when the rain had crashed before he'd even had the chance to tell her his name. "Did get a chance ta' tell ya' before the train crashed. I'd be Winston. I was worried you'd thought it rude of me not to offer my name. Then again, I did get tossed from a train, so I'm hopin' you'll forgive me," the thick British accent was thicker in his true form. But he did often attempt to avoid slang and speak slower to allow others to understand him. When he'd first gotten to the academy whenever he started a conversation he often got blank stares, stares and a lot of 'what's of course.

Junko had started to follow her friends when she slipped in the snow from her uneven footing. What the...why was--oh, right. She'd thrown her sandal at the reindeer. But now she was torn; should she follow her friends as she was, take off a shoe and continue in just her stockings, or go back and waste time finding the sandal? She was pressed for time! But which could she choose?! "For Jack's sake, Junko! It's just a sandal! You have tons of them!" She snapped at the ghoul who jumped, having almost forgotten She was even there. Right, duh. That made perfect sense...she had plenty of shoes.
Unfortunately she'd wasted enough time as it was trying to decide what to do, kicking off her sandal and hurrying after the group that had gone on ahead barefoot except for her stockings. She ran after them as quickly but it was kind of difficult with no shoes in the freezing cold snow. "I'm sorry, I kept falling!" She admitted when she finally reached her friends, panting a bit. She wasn't used to...actually being physical. Junko could have sworn she heard Yaya's voice. Where had she been? She'd have to find her later, for now she didn't want to wander off on her own; she'd stay with people she knew.

Draven did another quick damage assessment as he and Alerick followed the group down the path. He was alright, but his left arm was indeed a bit bruised. His head was a little sore, and other than a few other bumps, he seemed to have made it through that crash just fine. “Most people seemed to have survived the train crash…I don’t know how much worse things could get,” the image of a reindeer flashed in his mind. “Most seem to be made of tough stuff, I mean.”
“I know what you mean, though. The idea of battle, out here in the open is exciting!” It truly was. Draven hadn’t had the chance at a real battle before, unless you counted the deer incident. Which he wasn’t.
“I am certain we will make it to the Workshop, and return with whatever we are supposed to get. We are prepared this time,” he beamed, patting his pack for emphasis.
Draven’s eyes scanned the other members of the Gromble car. It was good to see so many had fared well through the crash. He had yet to spot Eracs, though. He turned back to Alerick in time to see him taste the snow. “Hm. I am a bit grateful it’s a bit soft,” he kicked a bit of it. He was sure it had cushioned his landing from the train.
Draven inhaled. “Well, here we go.” The anticipation of starting the journey was new…like before he had boarded the train.

Jamais chuckled, "Yes doom is very optimistic." She nodded, "At least in this case, and everything else that's happened."
She paused watching the demon revert back to his humanish form. "Huh... that must be unfortunate." She paused as Basil came running back up. "Basil, glad to see your alright."
She grinned, "It seems this is going to be at the very least fun if not, as," She paused she hadn't actually got his name, but it seemed he answered to Gabrian, "he said very doomy." Jamais had nodded over towards the other demon.

Sin frowned and turned around when she saw Junko limping towards them, she was just in her stockings? "Junko you can't just walk around like that you'll never get through this snow..." Except really what choice was there? She felt bad though that Junko was falling behind. She slowed her pace a little and softly moved to touch her arm.
"Maybe we can wrap your feet? It won't be as useful as shoes, but at least it'll help a little..." She looked down and ripped a strip of black off her skirt leaving it jagged. If she had to fight odds are someone was going to end up getting flashed, especially if she provided anymore makeshift black bandages.
"Alcie wanna spare a little of your skirt?" She winced a little, she didn't like the idea of Alcie ripping her skirt, but it already looked like it had been ruined a bit by the crash. "We'll go shopping once we get back home, I'm sure the three of us could use a spaahhh trip." She sighed thinking of a steamy hot bubble bath.

What? But...she could do it! Promise! She frowned and looked down at her legs, kicking at the snow a bit. It was uncomfortable, but she didn't have time to go through that mess to find her other sandal. Or her bag with an extra pair in it. "Wrap them with wha--ah!" Junko's eyes widened, just staring at Sin as she tore her skirt. Sh...she...she just...and it...but...and... "I-I'll fix that when we get back, I promise!" She gasped, looking almost pained. The seamstress in her was crying in agony for the poor torn skirt. If wrapping her feet meant destroying perfectly good clothing then she'd rather her feet go numb!
"Junko suck it up and let them help you." She groaned and wanted so badly to pinch Junko's cheek for being stupid, and the frustration of knowing she couldn't was making her mood worsen by the minute. Junko frowned and glanced toward Her at the scolding she received, sighing and sliding the wreath down her arm to hang from her elbow so she could take whatever was offered to her. If she had no choice...
"That does sound nice. I could use some relaxation." And some heat.
