Paragonite took the fleeting moments as Vulcan fell back, to close the gap between them. She was practically hovering over the senshi, her smile betraying the joy she seemed to reap from this.
"I hope you learned something today, child." she chided from above, "Too bad you won't have long enough to understand what it may have been." her arm snapped down towards Vulcan's chest, but her fingers stopped just short of the white bodice. A strange, but aggravated look crossed Paragonite's face.
"Rrghh..." she withdrew her hand and... something appeared there. It was small, purple, and glowing ever so faintly.
"What?" her voice was a whisper, but it could be heard if one strained their ear.
"But..."
Pause.
"Now?"
Another pause.
"I'm in the middle of somet- fine whatever. Your loss." the item disappeared and the lieutenant shoved the end of her baton into Vulcan's nose.
"This was fun, but I have to spin out. You won't be so lucky next time girl." she pulled the baton away, took a few more steps back, and then turned tail and seemed to disappear into the shadows of the alley. Soon as the senshi was out of sight, Paragonite became Heather MacKenzie, and moved out into the streets to blend into the crowds.
Apparently there was other work to do on this night.
