She should have expected the other senshi to use the broken window as his exit, as it was also his entrance, but it was somehow incredibly easy for the youma to follow the male out the window. Maybe he looked an easier target than she did? Maybe the youma just thought he looked delicious? Then again, maybe the youma was just so angry it was hell-bent on revenge now instead of an easy target. As the two burst out the side of the building, she took a deep breath, and skittered over the glass. On the ground, people screamed in panic, including the museum director.

Some were trying to take control, she noticed, trying to keep a head on their shoulders. Patrons were being gathered together, and photographers were staring at the youma, jaws down and cameras limp and going unused. She took a deep breath, seeing that the other senshi's attack went almost unnoticed, and she put her hands together, as if the focus would help her attack, raising the power. (It did nothing, but it made her feel better. Sometimes it did make her aim a little better, in a panic, but that was all mental- she thought.)

"Scylla's Hunger!" she breathed out, and the ground underneath of the youma erupted. Arms as tall as she herself were rose from the cement, Thick toothed suckers gnashing hungrily as they sought youma flesh. One brushed towards Zephyr, starting to circle him, to grab him; in a moment it paused, sliding away from him like he was something not tasty.

Sailor Zephyr let out an admiring whistle, one hand shielding his eyes from the sunlight as he observed the large tentacles at work. There was a bit of silence on his part as he was overcome by the same amazement that had taken over the crowd. "I'm glad that I'm not your enemy." There was a teasing grin at the corners of her mouth, wondering how much jokes she endured. Not that Zephyr leaned that way.. Putting that aside, Zephyr definitely didn't want to be caught beneath that attack. It was definitely a plus, Sailor Scylla and Zephyr being on the same side.

"Interesting, interesting." The youma was going down in a wailing cry, first resisting to stay afloat of the youma arms. It threw a murderous look over to the senshi responsible for it's interruption but it couldn't maintain it as the tentacles become much more of a threat. It thrashed about violently, causing any spectators to retreat further, trying to escape the horde. But eventually, it couldn't sustain its struggle, falling pray to the eager limbs. It disappeared quickly beneath the flurry of limbs.

Zephyr raised an eyebrow to the senshi, when the tentacle slithered away. If anything, it was a smart tentacle lest it be made into takoyaki or some other octopus dish.

But they had a different problem on their hands now. Zephyr waved casually to the other senshi to catch her attention and slid a glance towards the crowds, silently conveying their current issue. It was issues, one after another. How much did senshi have to deal with? How troublesome. If Zephyr was alone, he could have easily left. But with another senshi in the picture, and not one that Zephyr cared to face later on as anything other than an ally, it made things a little more complicated.

Scylla heard the whistle and grinned from where she was mostly hidden from view. She could feel the youma struggling, feel the fierce satisfaction of her predatory power as it clung to the youma, the hungry mouths gnawing at the skeletal frame. The super senshi could feel the strain of the struggle and her lips thinned, focusing her attention on taking the youma down. Finally it fell, and she felt a flash of triumph before her power slid away, leaving behind a few holes in the cement.

There were people crying out from below her, and a few moans from inside the building, from people who had been injured in the youma's first assault. She peeked out of the building, trying to see where the handsome model had fallen, but he was nowhere in sight. Instead, she could see the other senshi waving to her, and waved him back, summoning him upstairs to join her. It's alright, she tried to convey with her hand wave, I have a plan. Many things got lost in translation, but the bounce of her ebony curls as she disappeared back into the building was unmistakable. She had come out of the building as far as she was planning to go.

She turned on a heel, only to get smashed in the face by a statue being flung by a paranoid, panicked civilian. It took her by surprise, and she fell to the floor, dizzy, feeling that shards of glass cut her palms and dig into her unprotected thighs. Thank goodness she wore boots, she thought dizzily. Glass cuts would hurt if they went all the way down her legs. though, her white boots were going to be red soon. She was bleeding?

The woman was screaming something at her, standing over her, lifting the statue to bring it down on Scylla's head, and the ache was already starting in the senshi's hands. "TERRORIST!" the woman screamed. "FILTHY TERRORIST. DIE! LEAVE US ALONE!"

It was unclear how much of the conversation translated accurately between Zephyr and Scylla. But as Zephyr looked over at the crowds, who were beginning to regain their wits, had no plans to stay in a place where he would only be interrogated further. The police would be here, on their way as well with several ambulances to take care of the injured. If he was caught in that commotion, escape would become nearly impossible.

He disappeared from the crowd, coming up behind the museum to the area where he had first fallen. Looking up at the broken window where he has last seen Scylla, Zephyr jumped up intending to speak to her. "Scylla..?" His gloved hand brushed aside a hanging drape, having come loose from the commotion. "We should --" He began to say when his blue eyes met with the senshi's collapsed form.

In a quick, fluid movement -- Zephyr landed between Scylla and the screaming woman. He had reached Scylla only secords before the statue would have made impact, his hand holding back the stone figurine. Zephyr's hand ached slightly from taking the full impact of the hit, but Zephyr couldn't bring himself to care. He wasn't a doctor, but a hit of that caliber to anybody's head would be worrisome, if not a fatal injury.

His normally warm blue eyes now resembled ice, and he remarked with a sardonic smile, "We save you and this is the thanks we get?" He wrenched the statue away, tossing it over to the far side of the wall. He didn't expect rewards or medals but to see a comrade being injured for her efforts? Zephyr was beginning to regret saving these people, wondering if it wouldn't have been easier to leave them to the youma to devour instead. He doubted that these people were worth their effort. "Despicable."

"Don't touch her." He said the words calmly, but his gaze was accompanied by a chilling threat.

Suspicious of the woman, yet he couldn't leave Scylla alone, one hand curved around the back of Scylla's neck to lift up her head to ask, "Still alive? Don't die on me yet."

She was dizzy, and staring up at the woman who was about to try and kill her. Not even a youma, but she was going to die at the hands of someone she'd just tried to help? The civilians of Destiny City were damn ungrateful little turds, and this one couldn't even use something decent. No, her weapon of choice was some cheap P.o.S. piece of sculpture that was worthless even for modern art-- much less real art. Ignorant of Zephyr's entrance, the senshi of the Kraken tried to lift her arms to catch the blow, as if through will alone she could stop the descent of the statue towards her skull.

What finally touched her skin was not stone or metal, nor did it send the expected painful vibrations up her limbs and into her shoulders. Instead a hand reached between the statue and its target, catching the object and the woman's hand, his sleeve being what touched Scylla's hands. Purple eyes followed the limb, only to see that the other senshi had come back upstairs as she'd silently asked-- thank goodness. She reached up to touch where she had been hit, and her hand came away sticky with bright red blood. Head wounds bleed more, she remembered. Behind Zephyr, she put her hand on the wall and went to push to her feet. Oh, nope. not happening.

Remaining safely hidden behind the taller, more intimidating figure of the (angry-looking) male senshi, she watched the panicking woman stare at Zephyr uncertainly. She put her head down, trying to keep the world from spinning, and felt a hand on the back of her neck, pulling her head back up. The woman lifted her hand again, targeting Zephyr this time, but something in his face made her pause, step back. She hurled it, instead of trying to hit him, and fled, skittering away like an angry cockroach back through the rubble that remained of the art gallery.

"I didn' hurdder." Jada slurred, and was immediately appalled by her tongue's lack of cooperation. "She'as there." Scylla was used to bleeding, and used to scratches, and had even been cut up by glass before-- but blows to the head scrambled your brains no matter who you were. not to mention the blow was exaggerating the pain of her wounds anyway. "I am a good girl."

Zephyr immediately caught Scylla's form, finding the senshi of Kraken surprisingly light. "Be thankful. I don't make it a habit to save people." His hand lifted up to unlatch the chain on his cloak, wrapping it around Scylla's hurt form to protect her from the glass and any sharp rubble. If she didn't die from her head wound, she would from blood loss sooner or later.

Scylla's slurred words had the senshi of wind smiling, despite himself. "Commendable." Zephyr was sure that he would have acted differently. He would have returned the favor, to begin with and more. But this wasn't the time for it.

"Being a good girl isn't worth the trouble." Zephyr smoothed Scylla's hair, tilting her head slightly to take a better look at the injury. His fingers came away, stained with the stick liquid. But seeing as he wasn't a doctor, Zephyr couldn't accurately assess the damage nor provide the medical attention she needed. "Hey," He lightly shook the other senshi's form to force her to stay awake, "Can you power down? You need to go to a hospital." Zephyr couldn't take her in as she was now, worst case scenario would that she would be left to die on account of being a terrorist.

"Or you can die here and now." But the mocking tone in his voice said otherwise; To be honest, dying in an art museum at the hands of an appalling (and not very well made if Senri had to critique it) statue wasn't on his list. Nor did he think it was on Scylla's list either, unless it was a more pitiful list then he had thought.

"I don' make idda habit to get hit." she told him promptly as the other senshi wrapped his cloak around her. "So you get to save me as a freebie." she was drawing her words out carefully, focusing on them. His hands were surprisingly gentle as he stroked her hair- most guys were rough with hair, it was why she didn't go to a male stylist. But he was very gentle, tilting her head to try and see where the woman had hit her. "It makes people happy when you pretend to be good." she told him tiredly, as he shook her. It was a light shake, but it annoyed her. Couldn't he see she was injured?

"I've no indr- interest in dying." she told him finally, haughtily, and closed her eyes, sighing. And then it was Jada, looking up at him, her terribly expensive black dress not as all as elegant and sexy when it was accompanied by blood. (Her heels, however, stood undaunted. What could she say? Her footwear was always Champ.) Jada let herself lean on the other senshi- he'd started it, after all, and she was even less protected against the glass now than she had been in her uniform. Her arms were scraped up, though not as badly as her head. Her hands were the worst. She'd have to use the good creams to keep them soft and unmarred.

It was strange, seeing someone else with her blood on them. "That's not sanit- That's not clean." she said finally. "I'm not sick or anything, but..." it bothered her, seeing that she was making a mess on other people. Her hand reached out, gripping the wall again, so he could let her go if she wanted.

Her black curls were going limp, looking almost as tired as she felt. There was still plenty of wave to them, at least. "So, do you think we can manage to turn this yuck into good press?"

"And by contrast it makes me unhappy. Whose happiness holds more importance?" But in her condition, Zephyr wasn't expecting an answer.

When she acquiesced to his request, Sailor Zephyr was glad to find himself dealing with a reasonable, not a stubborn senshi. His eyes flickered with surprise at Scylla's identity -- the same young girl that he had been speaking to only moments before the attack -- was the same senshi that had been fighting with him. But he composed his expression once more seeing that life had its surprises. "Interesting." He murmured, but didn't elaborate.

Needless to say, Zephyr didn't let go of Jada even at her protest. How ironic, to be worried about it at this stage. "You can pay my dry cleaner's bill." Zephyr's tone didn't allow for any more arguments. And if Jada didn't shut up, Zephyr could just dump her here and now.

At the mention of the press, Senri suppressed the urge to sigh. "..Right. " At the least, he had to admire her for the drive she continued to display, even when those injuries had to pain her. On the other hand, she was foolish as well.

"Let's see." He lifted Jada, carrying her as he jumped down the window of entry. Already, the ambulance had arrived. The police hadn't yet arrived but Senri didn't doubt they would be here in a matter of moments. Sailor Zephyr landed near the ambulance, the EMT just turning around when he was greeted by the sight of the so-called terrorist with a beaten woman in his hands. "<******** -- Oh god. Couldn't you have given me any warning?" Any personal prejudice he may have held against senshi was dispelled in an instant. They had injured people to attend to, and the wounded battlefield had no room for such trifles.

"She was caught in the commotion. And hit in the head by a pathetic statue." The EMT settled Jada's battered body as Zephyr spoke onto a stretcher, already preparing her for an extended trip to the hospital.

With no time to spare, several people from the media; such as newscasters and cameramen had already arrived. "A terrorist saving civilians? Tell us, what are your true intentions?!" They hurriedly crowded the senshi, Sailor Zephyr looking calm, used to the camera attention due to his job.

What was it again..? "Senshi aren't terrorists. We fight to protect this city, and to ensure the utmost safety of its civilians." His sparkling smile, reeking of the utmost insincerity to the people who knew him, lying out of his teeth. To everybody else, it sounded heroic.

Sailor Scylla was in for a large debt.

Whose happiness held more importance? "Well, mine, but it makes me happy to make people happy, so isn't that a little roundabout?" The heiress gave a startled squawk as the other senshi picked her up, princess-style. She couldn't remember being held quite like this before! Like a princess, and surprisingly easy. He didn't even seem to mind that she was bleeding all over his pretty white uniform. How chivalrous. And bossy, she noted. He sure wasn't leaving any room for ladylike complaints. It wasn't that bad, it was just a surprise. But then, how often did a gal get to play- Oh, eff my life, he's jumping out of the window!

Jada Chamberlyn must have had some suckers of her own, no Scylla required, because it took her a little while to peel her arms from their death grip around Sailor Zephyr's neck. The EMT already was pulling her away, further assisting her from disentangling from the senshi. She let the paramedic lay her back on the stretcher, let them fuss a little and shine lights in her eyes.

One of the reporters, a petite blonde with a hard glint in her eye, thrust a microphone in her direction. "And you, miss, what is your take on what happened here? Terrorism trying for a pretty face?"

Most people who knew Jada would say she couldn't' bullshit her way out of a wet paper bag. Mostly because they didn't know bullshitting was what she now did for a living. Summoning the tears was the easy part. "It was a monster." her voice started out strong. It cracked halfway through the word monster. "It came out of nowhere." Other injured people around her nodded in agreement. "There was... glass, everywhere, and people running, and screaming. And then something came flying, and I remember being very..." she put a slim arm to her forehead, a dramatic touch that got a few snapshots. "Thank you." she reached out to Zephyr, a hint of mischief darkening her eyes only briefly. "You saved my life. If I can do anything for you, please let me know!"

Heiress indebted to terrorist, one of the journalists jotted down, Will 'Senshi' be joining likes of al-Qa'ida, New People's Army, Shining Path, other well-armed, well-known terrorist groups?
PostPosted: Mon Apr 25, 2011 10:20 pm

Zephyr didn't understand how people could be fooled so easily.. but the older senshi stifled a mocking smile at the heiress's melodramatic words. "Indeed."

Zephyr held Jada's hand briefly, his gloved hands grasping her finger tips before he drew them away, indicating to Jada that he would be taking his leave now. Especially now, at the opportune moment, when they were absorbed in Jada's story. When the petite blonde finally finished scribbling her notes, she turned around to question the senshi further -- finding only air and empty space where the senshi had previously stood. The other journalists looked confused as well.

A few buildings away, Sailor Zephyr dehenshined down, finding that his hair tie had broken in the commotion. "That was enjoyable." Needless to say, Senri was in a much better mood then he had been beginning this endeavor. "Jada, was it?"

They would meet again.
