Naoto Emory

Naoto kept his thoughts off of the many new students arriving. People, or at least, large masses of people, had a tendency to upset his nerves. He was very shy. But he knew his mother would appreciate his support, and so he sat himself before all the other students, a spectacle, a small blue haired boy lying lazily on a cloud. He was surrounded by some friends, who were used to the sight, but could see all of the new students' unsettled gazes. Naoto tried to avert his own gaze from them, his face reddening.

When his mother finally arrived, her elegant beauty commanding the attention of the new students, Naoto's face lit up. How could he be so concerned about himself when SHE was the one all eyes were on?

The new students began filing in the seats.

ROSHLEV IRKECK

Roshlev rose from his hell world portal onto the freezing cold ground a ways away from the stage and chairs full of people. He looked up at the stage and saw a woman and what appeared to be a half cloud half blue haired boy thing, but he would of been lying if that was even close to being strange to him. Roshlev saw no people or apples nearby so he began walking to the stage and he began using his fire magic to keep his hands warm.

Thomas stood on what seemed to be a panel of ice, taken directly from that which covered the walkways. It floated off to one side where Headmistress Emory now floated. Thomas looked over the students, marking some of them for later. A new one approached, and Thom noted the subtle red gow of fire magik.

"It seems this year will be... interesting. Those able to use fire magik tend to be the mischeivous sort," he said to no one in particular. This was not uncommon for him, to talk to nobody or even himself.

Marcus looked down, past the wings that held him and Pegasus through the air. It was colder up here, but Marcus mostly ignored it by using a little bit of the power his father had given him. "The school is below us, it looks like," he said, righting himself again.
"Right then, here we go," Pegasus said, starting to dive down in a spiral. The winged horse landed hard on the icy ground, and Marcus climbed down. He looked around, at the others gathered. He turned around, patted Pegasus' shoulder in thanks, and walked towards the group.

Naoto Emory

Don't speak to me...
Naoto yawned tiredly. He noticed the new arrivals coming in their own way onto the campus. One of them, very sexy looking, descended down on a flying horse! Oh how original, Naoto though sarcastically and giggled to himself. Living in the clouds, such sights were not surprising to him. But he could see the confused faces of his peers, and the awed dropped-jaw expressions from the girls in his class. He blushed and layed down on his stomach, atop his cloud.

Some of the newbies weren't coming to the orientation, but going their own way. Ah well, Naoto thought, it's their loss. Though I will remember to smite them later. My mother worked hard on this.

Of course, he was a bit too frail and shy to follow up on his big words. This he knew, and he looked down getting a bit depressed. "I'm so bored..." he mumbled and buried his face in his arms..
How do I respond?

ROSHLEV IRKECK

Roshlev looked around as he strode towards the chairs and the stage. He saw nothing that was extremely interesting. So out of sheer boredom he began to start juggling small fireballs as he walked to the stage hoping something would happen before he had to steal something or set something on fire to ease his boredom.

Snow fell gently towards the ground, and patches of ice graced the barren earth.

It was cold, obviously. But then, for Rowen Darkchild, the C.A.T, this was a non-issue.

Only the the most extreme levels of heat or cold would even effect her; evidenced in her usual short skirt, bikini top, and unzipped jacket. Besides, if she so wished, she could simply shut off her sense receptors, effectively shutting off all feeling.

A perk of being one of the Jenovans.

Rowen raced towards the coordinates Eli Rush had given her, where Emory Academy lay, with the wings she had made, a complex combination of her mech creation and electricity magics. She would've arrived earlier, with the normal rush of new students, but she had a contract that she had to fulfill. Barring numerous minor factors, Rowen never failed to carry out a contract. She was an Assassins-grade cyborg, of course...she was merely doing what she was made for. Besides, Rush had already taken care of sending her things along beforehand - what little possessions she owned, anyway - and all other logistical things as a handler was supposed to. Rowen merely had to show up.

When she finally arrived, Rowen wasted no time in finding the courtyard where a ceremony was to be held. She didn't much care for such pomp and circumstance, but she wanted to appear nicely for the higher ups...might get her in for some private teaching or some other boon. She came to a quite forceful landing, errant sparks of electricity leaping from her body. Her mech-wings folded in, and then began changing and collapsing, eventually taking the form of a metallic backpack. With that, Rowen rose to her feet, and took an open seat somewhere towards the back. She ignored whatever looks she got, and waited quietly for the ceremony to take place. She didn't come here to socialize, she came to further her skills. Everything else was irrelevant.

Audrea Beaudelaire

Audrea approached the school hesitantly, shivering slightly. She tried to concentrate so that she could keep the shadows pulled over her, for even in the dense forest a little sunlight bled through the trees. She finally made her way out of the thicket, stopping before getting near the stage. She put her hands in her pockets and kept her eyes at her feet, She again kept the shadows over her, and made her way to a seat in the far back.
Audrea sat down, her hands in her lap, her leg tucked up underneath the other. She'd wished she'd listened to Acel when he was telling her about fire magik, but then again she wasn't too fond of fire.

[Rowen Darkchild ~ The C.A.T.]

For whatever reason, the ceremony seemed to be taking forever to start. This fact annoyed Rowen greatly. The long it took, the long she had to wait before being taught, and that's all she really came here for.

To pass the time, she decided survey they area, in more detail that before instead of putting herself into a low-power state as she normally would've done. Get a feel of the atmosphere around her, her fellow students...her potential targets. Her sight changed, the world around her being overlaid with a Heads Up Display. Numerous detail were fed to her, all the specs of the surrounding area. And gave basic information on the people as well: physical attributes; their race, both general and specif if the latter was applicable; the amount of mystical energies they exuded, giving a basic insight into their strength level; and a few other tidbits, such as weapons and such. Rowen was surprised to find that, even with the upgraded body she had received from Rush before arriving here, that while she wasn't the weakest of those gathered, she wasn't anywhere near the top as she perceived herself to be. If she had to say, she was squarely in the middle. Nothing much to look at.

This will have to change, she thought darkly.

A presence to her side caught her attention. The HUD vanished from her vision with a blink, Rowen's luminous blue eye glanced beside her. One seat down, a girl had appeared, quite literally so. Of course, it was only thanks to a shift in Rowen's eyes to see in the magical spectrum that she knew this; 'normal' sight only caught a strange flickering shadow. She didn't need any special sight to tell that she was code; not that the girl was being quite about it, despite apparently trying to remain hidden.

It was a combination of things that called Rowen to even consider interacting with her. One, it was something to pass the time with, without shutting herself off. Two, she looked weak; not physically, but more mentally, or emotionally...and Rowen disliked seeing weakness. Lastly, the least of any reason, was that Rowen found the girl visually pleasing. That, she could attribute to 'ghosting' - a remnant from the previous Rowen Darkchild's being that found its way into the current Rowen. She'd felt it before, in passing, during a contract female targets. Apparently, the old Rowen played for both teams, but leaned towards females....not that this one cared for carnal matter, even though it was fully capable of such things.

Whatever the case, without a word Rowen removed her jacket, tossing it on the empty chair between herself and the new arrival. "You're cold," she said then in her succinct, direct manner. "Take it. I have more."

Audrea Beaudelaire

☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

Audrea sat for a moment, taking an occasional glance at the odd girl beside her. Heck, everyone seemed odd here. But it was just another thing she'd have to get over. At a certain point, the two girl's eyes met and she smiled slightly, one of her embarrassingly pointy teeth poking out. She blushed at the fact, but it wasn't noticeable enough. Her eyes went back to the students arriving at the school. Audrea jumped suddenly, for something had touched her. She looked down to see a jacket just as the strange girl next to her started speaking. Audrea picked up the jacket slowly, observing it for a minutes until putting it on quickly.
"Thanks." She said with another smile her little tooth.

Thom watched the new students arrive, watching for soigns of magical prowess. The same male who had earlier been using his magik to heat himself now juggled balls of fire. A waste of power. I suppose, though, that it is better to have him entertain himself that way. One who appeared to be human descended from a flying horse, most likely the Pegasus of Greek myth. The glow of divine magik surrounded him, though it was tinted, and looked like a small sun. No other traces of magik showed themselves yet, but a shadow flickered across the grounds, and footprints followed in it's wake. Weaving a subtle flow of air and light, he scanned the area where the footprints stopped. A demon was revealed to him, sitting near a young woman.
"Valencia," he said, "It may be time to start your presentation. Some seem to be getting restless, or at least bored."

Marcus found himself a chair, near the front of those assembled there. As he walked, he noticed a boy, who appeared to be lying on a cloud. He kept watching him as he moved, tripping once in the snow. He sat, and looked around him for a moment, taking stock of who was there. His attention returned quickly though, to the floating boy. Sure, the man and woman in front of him floated as well, but they were older, clearly experienced. Also, that one could appear so bored when there were interesting things to look at was odd to him.

Audrea nodded and smiled at the girl. In the corner of her eye, a flicker of brilliant tones of red caught her attention. She looked over to where Roshlev was. Her face lit up as her eyes almost met his.
"Just a sec... I'll be right back." She said to the girl and stood up quickly and made her way over. She stood behind him and tapped his shoulder gently, anxious to see him again. She'd been thinking about him ever since, but she never got to chance to visit him.
