Laza nodded. She was pretty sure basicly everyone in the family felt the same way she did about being in the thick of things. In the quieter amoung them, like herself, still enjoyed the company. She supposed it could get a little old after a while, but there was always a nice solitary rock to lay on and enjoy some peace and quiet.
"Have you met my cousins yet?" She looked a little hopeful. She'd love to introduce Hamamu to a new friend of Uncle Manny's. This lioness seemed genuinely sweet, which would definitly mean she'd get along just fine with 99% if not all of this family. "I'm sure they would love you." Her voice was reassuring and honest. Maybe she should drag Marini into a gathering right this very second. There's no better way to get used to something than to just jump right in, right?

"I have met Hamamu, but that's it," she said, thinking back to when she first met Manny- Hamamu had been there, she was really the one that Marini had befriended first. It was just easier. The meeting probably would have been much more awkward without Hamamu there.. and that said something, since Marini had had a hard time believing the little grey cub was his granddaughter.
"How many cousins do you have?"
Marini did, apparently, like numbers.

Luhlaza was happy to hear Hamamu had met Marini. She had a feeling the pair would've gotten along nicely. Really, she had a feeling Marini got along with almost everyone she met, if not everyone. She would have to track down Hamamu at some point to ask about the meeting. And perhaps do a little investigating about this friendship between her uncle and Marini. But that was for later. The sun was getting awfully warm, though. The coolness that the rock beneath her had once provided had just about worn off, too.
Laza was just about to answer Marini's question when she paused, suddenly unsure. She attempted to list them in her head but got lost somewhere around 12 and gave up. It was too hard to think of them all this fast without repeating names and being sure she didn't miss anyone. "Oh goodness. I'm not sure. A whole lot, though." She tried again and this time made it to 14. "Definitely a lot. I can't keep up with it right now. Uncle Manny might know for sure, though!"

Marini could see Luhlaza's mind going as she tried to think of all the cousins she had, knowing it was probably not going to end with a very specific number. Marini herself had plenty of cousins because her dad had lots of siblings.. but somehow in her mind that just wasn't quite the same as Manny and all of his siblings.
"I'll have to ask him when I find him, then," she said thoughtfully, "If you see him, will you tell him I was looking for him?"

"Oh, of course!" She nodded vigorously and unceremoniously slid off her rocky perch. Yup, getting too hot to be sun bathing. Perhaps she'd run off and find her mom for a lick-down. That would cool her off quick. Or she could just go roll around in the cooler dusty dirt beneath the shade of the trees. Or she could take a quick dip in the watering hole, although that seemed more of a pain because then she'd have to deal with cleaning off the dirt that would surely stick to her wet paws.
Either way, she'd go off and find a way to cool off. If she ran into her Uncle, she'd let him know he'd seen Marini and that she approved of their friendship. "It was nice meeting you, just like I knew it would be." She smiled up at the lioness genuinely, now standing just a few steps away.

"Ok, thank you," she said, beaming back at Luhlaza, "And it was very nice to meet you, too!"
Manny was obviously not here, she would go back home for now.. but it was far from a wasted trip, now. She would resist the temptation to go and investigate more of the family now, maybe Manny would introduce her sometime. Another excuse to hang out with him.
"Have a good afternoon," she said.
Fin!
