Ladon saw the pair coming and was just about to see if he and Teddy might want to go someplace else when, with a polite excuse, the man went over and took care of the two in both a polite yet forceful manner. It was impressive to say that someone could handle two civilians without losing your head and taking their energy or making them too wary and calling the cops. There was just enough to make the carefree couple think twice about staying and unsettled, and deciding to take the "advice" that was given to them, they left more quickly than they arrived.
It was with some envy that Teddy returned back, and Ladon watched him a moment. Ladon had yet to gain that sort of commanding tone, and while he could manage a serious threat, he hadn't managed to slight tact in delivery of the line between normal and dangerous. Even though Teddy didn't see why he was taken into the Negaverse, Ladon had a slight feeling why.
As to his question, he though a moment. "No, it's not personal. I actually started out thinking the way you did. I had little idea why I was picked and if I could even be of use. In the end, I think it was the opportunity to prove that I was right to be picked that helped me the most. The person who created me was General Charonite. I'm not sure you have heard of him. I know plenty of new recruits who haven't or just heard rumors, but he was our leader before our Queen could arrive. He was a great, strong, caring leader who kept us focused on our goals and made sure we did our work." A huff of a sigh came from him as he looked out across the playground. "Then we was dismissed. I do not know the specifics, but I do know he's gone." Along with Nealite as well. "….he was a great leader."
He paused a moment, deep in memory and also to take a moment of silence in respect to the man who made him the Negaverser he was now. He wondered if Charonite felt he did right when he picked him if he could see Ladon now as a Captain. He hoped so.
Slowly, he turned back to look at Teddy. "And you? Who created you?"

"Interesting. I've heard a few of my fellow lieutenants, that came before me, mention someone of that caliber. It's a pity that I arrived too late, I would have enjoyed meeting him after that description. Though with our larger number, I would imagine it would be hard to show any form of kindness or gratuitousness without coming off as weak to some. I imagine that the highest ranked officers must walk a tight rope in order to maintain the order we are so fortunate to have."
Before Teddy could answer Ladon's question, he had to stop and think about how to explain his awakening. Corruption wasn't the way he would really saw the process and it had been so brief, yet intense. Almost at a loss for words at the experience, he paused to find the most appropriate way to describe Esperite's arrival or should he say his transition from Teddy to Esperite.
"That's a rather tricky question, Mr. Shepard. While I do remember the sensation and certainly going through the motions, I can't really disclose too many details. I would have hoped to etch every second into my memory, but I am unfortunately unable to give you a proper answer as you have given me. I hope you will forgive me as it is with much remorse that I must refrain from detailing that event."
However he truly felt about the matter, he wasn't ready to discuss it openly. Doing his best to conceal any emotion, he forced a sly smile in order to mask his convoluted thought process on the matter. In an effort to distract his fellow officer, he proposed something a bit unconventional after the momentary pause he took to fortify his emotional walls.
"How about we participate in a little bonding experience? I have the perfect ritual to solidify our meeting. I didn't care for the attitudes of that young couple at all. I think we should show them the price for intruding on our extremely important conversation. I hope you don't mind a little energy-gathering excursion."
Standing up, he made an "after you" gesture with a bow and waited for the green-eyed boy's response.

The corruption process was different and the same for so many, and yet something most everyone didn’t want to talk about. There were few who knew how he was corrupted, but never in detail, yet he was more and more curious to hear how it happened to others. A bit hypocritical, but he was interesting all the same. Still, he expected some resistance and even not to get the full story at all. When it came to that, he nodded. "I hold nothing against you. It was just a question, because I was curious." He didn't want to seem as if he was the prying sort, and really, he tried not to be.
Luckily Esperite didn't take offense, and he was glad for it. It was always strange meeting strangers that in a way, were not strangers to you. However, it was hard to think of how to react around them and what to talk about. However, Lieutenant or Captain, he liked keeping connections and meeting as many members as he could. If they should ever need to lean on him or need backup on the field. He wanted to be there.
And for sport, he wanted to be there for that too. The game was proposed and he smiled. "Sounds good to me. I could go for helping my quota." He rose, dusting off his clothes as he looked around before stretching. "There are no cameras under that bridge. Let's go." To which he moved off to the bridge, where he would shift into something more comfortable and get to know Esperite better.

With a quick pace, though not too quick as to avoid any suspicion, Teddy followed Ladon to the bridge with the rather large overpass. Unfamiliar with this part of town, he was truly excited to have such a grand meeting and soon to be adventure with his new found friend and officer. However, he maintained a certain disinterest as to avoid appearing overly eager.
"I must admit this has turned into a rather intriguing evening. I only expected a disappointing visit to the department store and wound up finding a particularly interesting member of the Negaverse."
Reaching the sanctity of the overpass, Teddy wasted no time in transforming. Though he knew very little of the senshi's lengthy transformation sequence, he was grateful for the ease of switching between two personae. Under the cover of the evening moon, Teddy quickly faded and standing in his place was the sadistic and ruthless Esperite. As usual, the two plastic daggers appeared in hand, ready to wreak as much havoc as possible.
"Lt. Esperite at your service, Captain. Now, why don't we finish we started? I simply despise ignorant lovers."
Giving another gesture of obedience, Esperite followed his captain through the night. Both in search of the prey that would truly make the night their own.
