"Yeah no kidding, just between you and me, i'm way too superstitious to mess with anything in those tombs. I guess i'm a sucker for buying into the whole curse thing. I always thought that there was something more to the ancient Egyptian religion than meets the eye."
He noticed that Gianna was getting embarrassed again. He couldn't understand why, she had no reason to be in his opinion.
"And yeah I guess having a famous father is cool, its just that I wish eh was still here."

Gianna laughed a bit. He was superstitious? Well, then why did he come on the dig, they were sure to be digging up tomb's, right? "Isn't that what we came here to do? Excavate tomb's we may find?" She posed the question aloud. Sure, she herself wouldn't go up and haul out a mummy. Dead bodies kinda creeped her out.
Wait, he wished his father was still there? What happened to him? Hold on, it wasn't any of her business. If he wanted her to know, he'd tell her. "Well, you can have my dad...he doesn't and didn't want to let me go. Talk about overbearing..." She said to try and lighten things up a bit. She looked around and noticed that there were hardly any others left in the meeting room. Ah, maybe they should leave. Should they?

Erick couldn't help but laugh at her joke. It instantly lightened his mood.
"Well for what its worth i'm glad you got to come. It's nice to finally be able to talk to somebody smart and who isn't an annoying jerk like most people are."
He then looked around the room and saw that it was starting to get empty. He thought that it was probably time to get going.
"Well Gianna, I was going to go hit the city for awhile, you should come with me, I mean, if you want to." he asked, a but embarrassed, he didn't understand why he had just asked that.

Gianna gave a smile when he laughed at her statement. She was glad to have made someone happy. Plus, he had said he was glad she came. She slightly blushed at that statement, but maintained her smile. "Thanks. I'm glad I came too. I've always wanted to travel..." She trailed off, not having much to add to that sentence.
However, she did blush even more when he invited her to go explore the city with him. It suprised her, yes, but she nodded. He was the first person she had really enjoyed talking to since she borded the plane to get to Egypt. "Alright, I will....Wait...I gotta go get my wallet from upstairs. No money equals no cool Egyptian goods....You can follow me up there if you'd like, or we can meet in the lobby..." She stated upon remembering she had left her passport and such upstairs. She was sure she'd need the money..

"No problem, i'll meet you by the front desk once you get your things." he replied with a smile as he walked out of the room.
He didn't feel like going with her because he thought that would be a little too awkward. He could hear Gianna's footsteps as she walked up the stairs to her room. He was genuinely excited for this night out on the city. After all, he had been looking forward to this trip for ages now. There was no telling what Cairo had in store for the two of them. So he went to the lobby by the front desk and began waiting patiently for Gianna to meet him there.

Gianna rushed up the stairs, taking some two at a time. She preferred them to elevators some times. The whole lurching thing kinda worried her. Besides, taking the stairs was a good source of exercise. The heels of her feet wouldn't even touch the ground, she'd take them on tip toe. She was weird like that.
It wasn't long before she had gotten to her room and grabbed her things in her little shoulder bag. Then, the same process was repeated, except she headed down the stairs this time. Gianna spotted him not too far from the front desk. She was a bit out of breath, once again. She didn't know why she insisited on hurrying. She hated running. "Ready to go?" She asked, taking out a water bottle and sipping from it.

Erick could hear Gianna's footsteps as she was running towards the lobby. When she came into view, she appeared to be very flustered. It amused him how quickly she seemed to rush something that didn't need to be rushed. But it was convenient that she had taken such a short amount of time to get ready.
"I'm ready to head out whenever you are Gianna, but you didn't have to rush yourself, there's no hurry." he replied as they walked out the door together.
Standing in front of them was the vibrant night-scene of Cairo, lights everywhere, a bar on every corner, among other things. There were so many possibilities as to what they could do. The drinking age in Egypt was only 18, but Erick only drank on special occasions. His mind began to fly from one thought to another as he tried to come up with a plan for the night.
"Was there anywhere you wanted to see Gianna?" he asked her.

Gianna shrugged at his comment. She had felt that she needed to rush, for the simple reason that she didn't want to keep him waiting on her. Besides, it was a good workout. She headed out the door alongside Erick. The bright night scape of the city was a beautiful sight. Also, it was something she had always wanted to see.
As to his question, she thought a moment. "I honestly have no idea..." She admitted. The only things he had planned on seeing in Egypt had been the ancient world wonders. The pyramids, the Sphinx, the old temples and the like. "Though, I'm sure you'd know somewhere, being the Egyptologist's son and all...." She half teased.

"Well to be honest, I've only been to Egypt once before. It was 5 years ago, right before my father died. It was a family trip, and we only stopped in Cairo briefly. The only places I remember going to were the museum and to the central bazaar."
But for a minute, he paused so he could think and try to remember more of his last visit.
"I know that this city is famous for its night-scene though. So how about we just walk around and find our own entertainment?"
He still couldn't understand why he was going out with Gianna in the first place. He was never this social or open with other people.

Gianna frowned a little at his first comment. She hadn't meant to bring up the fact that his father had died. She personally couldn't see life without her father, mainly because he had been the parent that was always there. She hoped Erick wouldn't notice her smile falter for a second.
However, when he began to speak, it was back in it's place. "Alright, sound's like a plan to me...." She said, looking either way on the street. "Umm...except you pick which way we go..." Gia said, a little bit unsure. She could be real social, but usually that was around people she already knew. Once they had cracked open her outer shell of quiet book and music nerd, she was actually quite talkative and bubbly person, always tending to be positive. Well, almost always .

Thankfully, Erick still knew the lay of the land. He was easily able to lead the two of them to their first destination, the central bazaar.
"First stop, the central bazaar." he said with a smile.
The night scene of Cairo was busy and bustling as the two of them made their way through the winding crowded streets of the Egyptian city. Loud, pulsating music could be heard around every corner, and you couldn't walk very far without seeing someone with a drink in their hand. But it paled in comparison to the bazaar. It was so crowded, Erick had to shove people away like a plow just to gain any ground. There were merchants selling anything under the sun, so to speak. Jewelry, souvenirs, food, clothing. He found himself being excited about it all.
"See anything you like?" he asked Gianna.

Gianna thought that the bazaar sounded like a wonderful idea. See all the gizmos and trinkets and whatnots that were for sale. Everything was interesting. She was distracted so frequently by something eye catching. It was amazing that she even heard him ask her a question.
"Oh, yes...a lot of things I like..." She stated simply, her eyes still roaming over the thousands of goods. There were so many things to look through, let alone decide from. Of course she wanted a reminder of the trip to the Land of the Pharoh's. She settled on deciding it would probably be some sort of jewelry, but she wasn't sure exactly what..
