A soft flush touched the fair cheeks of the woman behind the desk and she smiled a little bit, only highlighting the silver of her eyes, "Fine lady? Nah..." she paused and tilted herh ead to the side, several strands falling over her face, "I do it for my daughter, it makes her happy and I love her so...I deal with it. If it makes you feel any better though, I accept your apology."
At his second comment she looked a little confused, "Help me...How? Being a decent male figure to Coailiann?" A brow raised, a touch of a smile on her lips, "How wonderful!"
She was far too naive for her own good.

Malen reisisted the urge the laugh and settled for tangling his fingers in the tip of his braid . This woman was naive but sweet and definetly worth persuing. he sucked in a few deep breathes before resposning " Sure, the more kids I'm around the better, I'm not sure I count as a good influnce but I only bite in bed and I've had all my shots." Bait her a little more he thuoght and if she dosen't bite back off for a bit and settle for what she's offering. Too much forwardness and he'd scare her away,plus he wouldn't mind seeing Coailiann on regular basis the kid had potential.

Coailiann perked up when she realized she was being talked about and gave the man the cutest most charming smile the little Sidhe baby could muster, "Up?"
Her green eyes were glittering innocently, wisps of white hair curling around her face giving her a complete cherubic look.
Ianna eyed the man, feeling goosebumps slide over her and took a deep breath, "Urm. Bite in bed. Okay. Uh," a deeper flush touched her cheeks - maybe she was naive, but she knew what went on in most beds.
"I..Uh...Let's go back to my place and get those toys for the little girl, eh?"
Quick change of subject.

Coailiann's question was answered immediately. Slipping the wand through a belt loop in his jeans he expertly picked up the child, hoping Ianna wouldn't mind ". Staring into the child's green eyes he looked serious for a moment " No drooling on the braid and no yanking out my earrings everything else is fair game including the earrings for chewing on if you must." Malen spoke to children despite their age as if they were adults able to comprehend everything he said.
Grinning at Ianna he just chuckled " Hurrah for toys, the best part of being alive is having things to play with. They say the only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys and being a man I'd have to agree, sad thing is kids toys are more expensive."

Coailiann beamed up at the man and immediately stuck her fingers in her mouth, her other hand wrapping around the braid and playing with the colorful strands. She had never seen colors of that type before, and it just amused the little girl to no end.
Ianna chuckled watching them and walked to the door to the side of her desk, turning the knob and pulling it open to reveal what appeared to be a very dark room, "Follow me."
Usually she would have used the paper portal - but Matilda was weak and it was tied to her magicks.
As they entered the main lobby Via the portal connecting the shoppe and the headquarters, the first thing they would notice is the vast...largeness...of it. The high ceilings, edged with gold, the large chandeliers dripping with crystals, the smooth white tile-floors, colorful rugs, and beautiful paintings.
To the left was a large recreational area complete with a large flat-screen television, several rows of various games, movies, video game systems and books. There was a basket of toys in the corner, full of plushies, dolls, cards and various other objects which would appeal to most ages. Included in the area were several comfy looking couches and plush chairs just made for sitting, lounging or bouncing in. It seemed to be heaven on a fluffy carpet. It even had a foos-ball table and an air-hockey table....and for the slightly more food-minded GoTP, a mini fridge always full.
To the right was a large elaborate counter, which seemed to have a force-field of some sort around it, keeping anyone who was not Ianna or Matilda from going behind it. On the counter lay a roster with the names of all the Ghostly children and their guardians, and an appointment book.
From there, it branched off into halls with rows and rows of rooms. Some were storage, some were guest rooms, some were bathrooms, and one very large and ornate door to the end of the hall led to the gardens. "Welcome to Headquarters, Malen. You're welcome here at any time. And if you follow me, I'll take you to Matilda's old room to rummage through her toys." A vast difference from the dusty wand shop.

Malen stood stalk still staring at the stuffed animals and plushies " You have a robin catcher doll just lying next to a jakken plushie like it's worthless" there was almost a pained tone to the man's voice as if he suffered from the sight. As Maria put it Malen was as bad as a trekkie when it came to anythign anime related and she essentialy disowned him at cons. However, whatever internal pain the sight of the toy gave him he was far to amused by Coailiann's pleasure with his hair, liek most children she was amused by it and thats why he botherd to dye it that way becuase in the dim times once faced inthis world everyoen needed a bit of colour. Lookign at Ianna he nodded " lead on."

"A what...in a...What?" Ianna's face looked confused before she led him to a vast room in the center of the hallway. It was filled to the brim with dolls, toys, books, knick knacks and stuffed animals.
"This is Matty's room. I spoiled her, but...It didn't last long. She was grown up within two months..."
A shadow of sadness passed over the woman's face and she shook her head, the smile reappearing to hide it, "She was the first, from the wands. Coailiann is from them as well."

Malen frowned " Two months that's a horridly short childhood , but atleast she had much to enjoy when she was child. Do they normally grow so fast?" He eyed the vast treasure trove with envy " Is there anything in here you're partial too and don't want me taking" he asked. Much as he wanted the perfect gift for cass he wouldn't want to depreive Ianna or Matilda of a favoured toy it wouldn't be fair. His eyes scanned the room assessing various toys as possibilites, they locked onto a shiny silver slinky coiled around a rather cute but independant looking doll" motioning with his head "would those two be ok and what do I owe you for this?" Considering he'd been given the right to visit her and Coailiann again and his own child to rear Malen felt the need to pay for something.

"No, The story's rather complicated, but she's the one who created the spell to capture the souls. She saw how her growing up caused me pain and modified it to take a good long time for them to grow."
Ianna sat down on the white-lace bed and smiled at him a bit, "No, you can take anything you want. Matilda never was much interested in toys. She was always a twenty year old in mind and heart, but a child in body. I just wanted to spoil her. And you owe me nothing at all. Just come to see us, no? You're welcome here any time."
Coailiann burbled in agreement, stuffing the braid into her mouth despite him telling her not too. It looked yummy! LIKE APPLES!

Malen nodded and picked up the toys knowign better than to argue " I'll visit you two cute ladies often" he said eyeing Coailiann " As for you missy, hair is not edible it will make you sick and if you choke and puke on my hair I will be very unhappy." His tone was firm but not angry. Kids were kids and soemtimes they listened and soemtimes they didn't, still he hated his hair getting messy it was one of his few pet peeves.

Ianna blushed yet again, and Coailiann obediantly removed her mouth from the colorful strands of hair with a little pout, her green eyes giving off a soft glow for a split second.

Malen grinned " I like her back so that's good,atleast she's one of those kids that firm toen works on, you wouldn't believe the amoutnt of time I've nearly caused some kid to choke becuase they won't stop eatign my hair but I don't want to yank my braid away". While he talked to Ianna, Malen shifted coailiann about in his arms and tickled her." mm i should probly head home soon, I have the desire to actually cook tonigth as opposed to giving in and orderign takeout".

Ianna gave a small nod of her head, "Sounds good. I don't cook," a smirk, "I think I could burn water if given half the chance...."
It was true, too. The extent of her cooking was microwave dinners, but since Matilda had installed the magick fridge...she didn't necessarily need to do that anymore.
Coailiann squirmed around, giggling and squeeing in the man's arms, "Eee!"

Malen shook his head in disbelief " Everyone should be able to boil water it's a survival skill. Perhaps I can teach you, I have patience."Malen was amused by Ianna lack of culinary skills yet also concerned how did she mange to keep herself healthy? Blowing at Coailiann's bangs he smiled " You young lady, you I shall have to make my famous cherry cheesecake for, since I doubt you're ready for veal Parmigiana." He wasn't completely certain whether or not she could even eat cheesecake at her age but licking some off a spoon wouldn't hurt her as rich as it was.

Hand reached up to brush away strands of silver hair which continued to fall over her face as she made herself comfortable on the bed, "Exageration, darling. I can boil water - Just letting you know - I can't cook very well at all. May be toxic to people's health...I...I'd appriciate learning though."
A slow smile crept across her face as she watched him with her daughter, leaning against the bed post.
Coailiann giggled and reached out, small and chubby hand grabbing playfully at his nose. "Eee Eee HIIIIIII."
