As Qiu Shui spoke it seemed as though Xiulong was visibly relaxing, eyes sinking half closed, and he looked quite happy about what it was that he was saying, "Yes... good, good." He murmured, sounding quite relieved to hear that his imagination was just playing tricks on him, that Qiu Shui didn't seem to care for money, that it was Xiulong that mattered to him. He lifted his hands to sooth them against Qiu Shui's hair in a gentle manner, smiling at him.

"If I have you then I can keep striving forward." He told the other boy, wondering if he would be able to do so without him. He wasn't sure if he could... or if he would want to. Qiu Shui's presence, having crossed paths with him, was what made him want to become strong for the other lotus child. There was an change in him that one could see starting to overcome him, he seemed to stand a little taller, shoulders back, a more content look on his face then had been there before. He had been so weighed down with worry that it seemed to be pressing down on his physical form but to have the very person he was worrying so hard about reassure him that things were alright, that the path they planned for was still in front of him, it helped him greatly.

Giving Qiu Shui a smile the dragon leaned in to press a kiss to his forehead, "I don't know what I would do without you, Qiu Shui." He murmured, wondering how things might have turned out if he hadn't of found Qiu Shui in that field so long ago... wondering where they would both be right now, a thought that was quashed and shoved aside, not wanting to think about it for a moment longer as it didn't matter. What mattered was where they were now, what was happening now, and where they would be in the future because he was determined to have a happy future with him even if things were rough now.

Xiulong gave him a smile, leaning in to give him a kiss on his forehead, "I promise." He told the dark haired boy, "You will see, nothing will stop me now from helping us both to reach our goal of a happy, peaceful future." Or at least as peaceful as a future like theirs could be... Still he would be able to obtain that peace, protect the one he so cared for, and he would pay for it in blood of needs be. So long as it wasn't Qiu Shui's blood that was he thought to himself...

"You better go, I don't want you to be late or to get in trouble." He murmured quietly, giving him a smile, "You do your best and I will do my best, and I will figure out how we can meet up again soon." He told him, determination renewed in the dragon and it showed in his tone of voice. He'd been weighed down under the weight of the world for a time there but now, now he felt much better about things have been reassured by the one that he was trying his best for. He just had to keep pushing forward, no matter what the others thought of him, because one day he would be strong and in charge. When he became a true dragon he would show them.

Drawing back because he new it was the only want to keep his hands to himself and in turn the only way to allow for Qiu Shui to go on his way, the bluenette gave a smile, "I will see you again soon, Qiu Shui." He murmured.

Xiulong watched as Qiu Shui went within the building that he couldn't go inside, the building that held him inside as surely as a prison... but he meant to one day rescue him from this place. He just have to push himself toward his goal, to keep going instead of allowing a bunch of foolish members of the gang to get him down. He would become more then he was now, he would become strong, no matter what!

Saying these words to himself over and over again his head the dragon turned on his heel and headed back in the direction that he'd been going in before he had been pulled toward the one he so cared about. He had spent some time, very refreshing time, with Qiu Shui, and now he felt as though he could deal with anything... and given he was a bit behind in what he should be doing he was sure that he would have a lot to deal with when it came to dealing with Tian Mi when he got back to the bathhouse but even having to deal with that shrill harpy wouldn't bother him to much since his being late was for a good reason.

He quickened his steps so that he could get to pharmacy quickly, the less time he spent getting there and then back home the better. Xiulong gave one last glance over his shoulder toward the brothel before he went around a corner and the building was no longer in view.
