BARK BARK BARK BARK!!

Malodore jumped as Luce immediately whirled, planting all four paws on its lap before springing into the aisle, head and ears held high. It didn't take her long to discover the source of the bark, and capered around Shehk yelping before...

well...

Luce would have called it 'exchanging a happy dog greeting' if she could speak. Malodore, horrified, merely called it... Sniffing. There.

"Luce, stop!"

Shehk looked down at the puppy, ears standing up on end as she moved to sit (still canine like) in front of her chair, also sniffing (oh god, this image was probably hilarious to look at), though the canine instinct soon broke when the Pricolici recalled (once again) where she was, voting instead to offer the pup some scratches behind one ear.

Shehk knew all the sweet spots. Clearly the only sad part about that was that other people just had such a hard time finding that one place that was just.. so happy-making. Really.

"You're quite the friendly little girl!" she beamed, before taking her seat again, making a point to try and sit like a normal person, though a grimace came over her face when another student protested the fact they were having some difficulties. Oh, hellz no!!

Shehk almost immediately looked to Nuk with this utterly pathetic look on her face. Like he had just committed a crime against her existence. Which was actually a very effective look for her to make. It was like every fiber of her being was accusing the skinwalker.

Why are you doing this to me?

Misery. That's what it was.

It was a little odd to be spoken to mentally like this, but it wasn't necessarily unpleasant. It was just something different from what he normally experienced. Besides, she seemed to be speaking softly. He didn't really want to know what it was like to have someone screaming directly into his brain.

"That is true," he said neutrally. This demon at least seemed to be relatively pleasant company as far as first impressions went. The bold wording of asking who he was didn't bother him all that much. He didn't exactly know any of these people so he didn't expect the same for himself.

"I'm Jericho," he nodded before glancing down at the extended hand. The dragon wasn't really one to do such gestures but it seemed as if he was about to bring up a hand to shake it. However, a few choice words from someone entering caught his attention.

Glancing over his shoulder, he saw that it was indeed a demon who had said it. Narrowing his eyes at her, his relatively neutral expression before had shifted to one more of irritation or anger.

"Damn elitists," he growled lowly before looking back towards Riley. It wasn't really worth snapping at the other demon when she was already long gone by now. At least the one beside him appeared to not have the same sort of attitude regarding monsters and other races in general. Ideally, there wouldn't be many others like the haughty one coming onto this train.

In the midst of some of the ruckus going on, he heard something about their abilities being blocked. Just for the heck of it, he tried to spew out a few small flames out into the aisle, but nothing happened. It didn't bother him all that much that he couldn't do it. Most likely it was better that he couldn't set the train on fire should he lose his temper.

"I sense this will be... an interesting journey," he said towards Riley.

Riley was a demon. And despite Jericho's incorrect assessment, she was in fact very elitist. The difference between her, and the clearly agitated demon who had just entered the car, was that Riley's goals and focus conflicted directly with her personal opinion of other species. She would never let on, outwardly, that she'd rather be sitting next to a demon. She knew better.

Riley's hand dropped unceremoniously to her knee when Jericho's attention stopped him from taking it. She didn't take his reluctance to mean he didn't like physical touch, the way she had with Tahki, because it was obvious he had just been distracted. Nevertheless, her hand had dropped, the offer revoked.

There was barking and yelling in the seats behind them, noises that obviously took Jericho's attention, and likely everyone elses. Not Riley's. She turned away and glanced out the window of her car (for Riley had taken the window seat, suck it Jericho!) and got a good view of other, unfamiliar students filed into other cabins. She spotted a flash of something familiar, and perked slightly. Was that Tahki? She couldn't tell from this far out. She was, perhaps, just a *little* disappointed at the prospect of Tahki not entering this car. Still, it only meant she had the chance to collect more new acquaintances.

Speaking of new acquaintances.. she turned her gaze (but not her head) quickly just in time to catch Jericho trying to do.. something. She couldn't tell what. It looked ridiculous. What are you doing? She murmured, still glancing at him from the corner of her eye.

Mo looked at the train and wondered if this was the best idea before she could hesitate something pulled in her coat pushing her forward. Hattapus noticed that she would hesitate and Mo looked down. Anyone looking on it would seem she is staring at her bust and talking into it. "Sorry I am going" Hattapus was curled in her coat under her bust. The little hat hated the cold and her companion didn't like it much more.
She shuffled her feet in her flats as she walked into the cabin there were a few students there already. She was half expecting herself to be the last one or at least one of the last ones. She flicked her tail on the ground as she walked her hands pushed into their pockets. She knew she had her eyepod on her but didn't know which pocket. Looking for an empty seat she sat down with a omph it seems Hattapus didn't like her abrupt stop. The little had stayed curled up in the coat as Mosi looked around the edge of her tail still flicking.

His actions did not go unnoticed it seemed, as Riley asked him what he was doing. Attempting to breathe fire with no results probably looked a tad awkward but he didn't really care.

"I heard someone said something about abilities being blocked. I was giving it a little test you could say," Jericho said, "I guess that's for the better here."

A part of him did want some sort of fire nearby though as it was indeed chillier around here than he liked.

If he really needed to for whatever reason, he still had fists. And fairly sharp teeth he supposed. Though, now he had to wonder if all abilities were shut off for everyone. No, that would be bad for a few of the creatures that needed such abilities to get around.

As far as Deacon was concerned, Nuk was the only interesting student in the car. That was probably the very reason he'd brought himself a pair of earplugs. Considering how his hair covered the base of his ears, anyone speaking to him would sooner think they were being ignored rather than going unheard. Though, even then it wasn't rare for his character to only acknowledge someone he deemed worth his time.

He'd settled down in one of the seats, ears pinned back in a look of annoyance accompanied by his furrowed brow. Wiggling around to get as comfortable in his seat as possible, he curled a bit awkwardly and tried to nap. Surely nothing of interest would happen before the train stopped...

Luce leaned hard into the scratches, wagging her tail merrily the entire time; Malodore, back in its seat, relaxed with intense relief. Thank Jack that Shehk hadn't been offended...!

Still, it got up anyway to go retrieve Luce; it didn't want the pup running wild around the train car. "Ah... Shehk, right?" it offered as it approached, sidling into the seat in front of Shehk's row so as not to get in the way of the students still boarding the train. "My apologies for letting her get away from me."

Luce wagged her tail again and yapped at Malodore with obvious enjoyment.

Iolanthe jumped as the loud barking echoed from somewhere behind her, making her whole body tense up in surprise. Slowly, she relaxed, though her face contorted into yet another sneer. She glanced over her shoulder just long enough to see what was going on before she settled back into her seat with a grump, one clawed hand clinging to the arm of her chair. Uncivilized heathens, the lot of them. She thought to herself, though she had the good common sense not to share her opinion out loud.

Somewhere across the isle, she could feel someone staring at her, and turned to see a boy looking at her with all the anger he could manage. She supposed he had heard her earlier comment, but she only smirked as she looked on at him. Her face seemed to dare him to say something to her, and she was just about to say something out loud - something no doubt terrible and unpleasant - when she heard people talking abilities being blocked.

"What?" she sputtered, unintentionally, her eyes widening a little. To any onlooker it might seem that she was upset, but in Iolanthe's mind she was frantically trying to sense auras around any of them, any hint of guilt to tempt her. But there was nothing there, not even the tiniest little lingering afterthought. She instantly seemed to relax into her seat, leaning her head back and shutting her eyes like she was in paradise. If she ever found out who designed that particular feature into this train, she would kiss them - demon or not.

Shehk had practically absorbed herself into the look of FIX THE WORLD, NUUUUKKKKKKKKKKK she was shooting across the train that when Maladore had come over, she'd nearly jumped in surprise, ears twitching when she looked to the plague doctor. Ooooohhh, so that was who owned the pooch. That made some sense!

Wait, what? Okay, no it didn't, but at least now she knew why there was a dog on the train for her to be...conversing with.

"That's right. You leant me some tweezers for the sewing exercise.." she paused, her fingers throbbing a bit in memory of those god awful pieces of fabric. Shehk had eventually taken a set of pliers to the needle instead of wielding it herself. Ha! That had at least spared her some painful pricks.

"Nothing wrong with some conversation though." she answered with a light smile. "She has quite a lot to say, if nothing more." there was a pause before she flicked one of her own ears. "Canine myself, can't help but understand." Just like she couldn't help but bark at things in surprise.

It was better than going AWOO WOO WOO roowoowoo... Those barks were funny.

"It's just fortunate she didn't get underneath any feet. It looks like there's a handful of people who don't give a damn about looking beneath them, unfortunately." she shrugged a bit. "But then again, I feel the same way about having to look 'up' at anything. I prefer a lack of neck pains."

It was clearly a quip at the classes, but none the less.

Mosi shuffled her feet as she leaned against the window not really paying much attention. She head someone sit down behind her she could help but look to see who it was though she was distracted by the person if to call it that. She starred slightly at it realizing she was being rude before turning her head. She looked down and putting her hands into her jean pockets wondering where she had put her eyepod.

She looked over to a bjore was a mighty bucklepper when she remembered that she wanted to see who was sitting behind her. She looked behind herself and noticed it was another feline she hated to admit it but she was happy about this fact. Though the chiseler behind her didn't seem to happy to be here.

Hattapus skittered under the coat unbuttoning a couple buttons to see who was out there for herself. She let a tentacle out but felt that it was to cold and quickly pulled it back in. What Mosi didn't know was that she had the eyepod how the little hat could even use it always made Mosi wonder. But the fact of it was that she justed like having it.

"Yes, that class exercise - I hope you didn't stab yourself too badly. Needlework can be finicky, especially with such thick hide to work with." Any friend of Luce's was a friend of Malodore's, and the plague doctor likely seemed much more animated now than it had in that class.

"You can understand her?" Malodore added, tilting his head at both Shekh and Luce. The pup yapped once and bounced up into Malodore's arms. "How marvelous!"

All around the car, then, commotion stirred. His sentiments were shared, the Undead wolf girl glaring at the Skinwalker as if he could do something about this and a demon spluttering a flabbergasted "What?!". Scanning the car, Corbn watched as someone seemed to be breathing hard into the aisle as if this would accomplish something and then retreated back to their companion.

It made him uneasy, unable to do things that came so naturally to him, but perhaps there was a silver lining. If their natural abilities from birth (or death) were blocked, then that not only meant his ghostly powers were under wraps but also his Wraithly ability to have such violent flashbacks at the touch of an object. Unfortunately (or fortunately), with nothing carrying a terrible weight of memory on hand, he could not check this epiphany but it was for the best. Now if someone wanted to share one of their most treasured objects with him or he accidentally touched something he wouldn't be riddled with the traumatic memories tied to it and thrust into a violent display that made him look as though he had broke out into random interpretive dance.

Shrugging back into the comfort of his seat, Corbin stroked the Stalkman awake. During its pause, it appeared to have dozed off and when the song resumed it was garbled for a second with a yawn from the tape player. This time, the band Gatorhead and his fingers drummed enthusiastically against his knee--perhaps the only thing about him that looked enthusiastic at all. Almost as soon as it started up, however, the Stalkman ground the tape to a warbling halt as it drifted back off to sleep. Curiously, Corbin poked and prodded a few buttons but it was as if all the energy had been drained out of it.

"I told you to sleep while I was in class," he chided quietly. The Stalkman let out a belch.

Well, now he had no music--at least for a while. The only thing to do now was nap or be social and what with the currently tense air about the room socializing didn't seem to be the smartest thing to do. So of course that was why he did.

Pulling himself into a proper sit and craning his head over the seats, Corbin peered at his train mates. All of them seemed at least slightly displeased with the situation or else they were quite good at hiding their excitement. It would probably be best not to press his luck with attempting to speak to anyone in particular and instead let those who didn't want to waste their time stewing silently or weren't already preoccupied answer.

"Does anyone know where the train's going?" for the death of him he couldn't recall. Had the staff even said? His mind traveled back to what he barely heard Nukpana mention before entering the car; something about this train being exorcised because students had been exploding. He had to chuckle.

Seila was very hesitant about entering her designated car, it was very noisy in there, which meant there were a lot of people there and lots of people meant more people who could get angry with her and yell at her and...... No, she needed to think positive, this was supposed to be fun. She fiddled with the straps of her flappack, her small bag she carried that had little wings on it, this allowed the pack to fly a very small distance to her if she called it. She figured if she brought along her notebook to write in and a few other small necessities she figured she may need on such a long trip.

After procrastinating and watching many other students get on he train she decided she would finally get into her car. She waited for the most recent student to go in front of her before peeking her head inside. She confirmed her fears and gulped, almost bolting back off the train, but she just sucked in a large breath of air and went in as fast as she could and sat next to one of the few people by themselves, this one seeming to have wings, and she pulled her knees up to and proceeded to take things in around her.

Yawning a bit behind a hand, Livi looked at the train curiously. He had no problems with boarding the thing, though it did slightly bother him he knew no one. However, new students were bound to not automatically know anyone, so why let that bother him? Though, it would have been nice to be in the same cabin as Amrita or something, but whatever. He wasn't about to let this bother him too much.

So onto the train he went and he easily went to his cabin. Poking his head in, he looked around at all the interesting people in there. Nice, very nice. A smile was plain on his face as he strode down the aisle, looking for an empty spot. It didn't matter where it was, as long as he could sit down. And once he found it, both seats empty it seemed, he plunked himself down and studied the other students around him. Seems like they were getting ready to start some kind of party or something. Ah, did he get assigned to the awesome cabin? Things were looking up then!
