The only middle school piece that I remember liking is Rites of Tamburo.... xd
My favorite pieces for concert band are mostly by Alfred Reed and Eric Whitacre. :] Armenian Dances (such a great piece on oboe =D), Hounds of Spring (also great on oboe), Lux Aurumque, Ghost Train...and Ballet Sacra, of course! Holsinger's a pretty great composer, too. :]

xXAnachronIsmEpsIceXx http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcozRYY1KoI Fate of the Gods by Steven Reineke. It's freaking amazing on Tenor and Alto saxophone. Alto's freaking hard though. >.> Especially with the fast part in the beginning-ish part. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmHBdjx_kOYAbram's pursuit was really hard too, but we rocked it at the concert. smile I played it for Wind ensemble like, a year ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owGBeHRNH0QPortrait of a Trumpet has to be my all time favorite though. My best friend played the featured trumpet solo for our concert a few weeks ago. I dont Remember Fate of the Gods being allt hat fast in the beginning. It is a fun piece. A+: The first part of the song has to be 100% perfect. The Second Part (Which is the same music as the first part) has to be played with 1 mistake (squeaking, wrong note) in it. Thus, 10% of it will be wrong, and it is 90% right. Which deserves an A+. Antares:It sounded kinda Hollywood Movies style. Choreagraphy:Yea. I said it. MAgnificent Christmas:It sounds like StarWars meets Santa.

YOU DID THE GREAT LOCOMOTIVE CHASE?!!?!? YOU LUCKY LUCKY PERSON! That's my favorite song ever. RWS is SO AMAZING. My band only has 17 members and no percussion so we can't do that piece. And two memorable pieces for me (from Junior High) would be: 1) Pirates of the Caribbean Medley (I dont' know which one) 2) Sleigh Ride3)(Graduation song... best thing ever) Lion King MedleyI was moved up to the Senior High band to play mallet percussion for these songs, and it was a blast. Quite a difference from my usual alto sax.

They call me a band geek...OHMAHGOSH I FRIGGEN LOVED "FATE OF THE GODS"!!!!!!! We played it in seventh grade, and got a gold with distiction for it! Fate of the Gods, this is not my band from seventh, lol.Eighth grade, my favorite was a song called "Great Locomotive Chase." Great Locomotive Chase, again, not my band, lol.Last year, the one I will always remember, "Overture to Candide." It was insaneeeeee. But my favorite was "Midnight On Mainstreet." It was inspired by the fireworks on Main Street, Disney World. ^-^ Overture to Candide, once again, not my band. And this is an orchestra, but we just had the full band arrangement.Midnight On Main Street, love this song, again, not my band. And this year, I played Into The Storm with orchestra, and played a solo with the piccolo, and being a bass clarinet, it sounded sooooo cool! ^-^Into the Storm, I did the full orchestra arrangement, this is just the band arrangement, lol. Again, not my band. And I'm proud to say I am.
