Aleu's nuzzle seemed to be enough to reassure Derecho and if Verse didn't live up to the expectations she had of him - well..he'd be watching. "Take care of yourself' He told his sister "And don't be afraid to ask for help if you need it" He continued recalling how rough things had been when his pups were young, they were demanding and it was easy to get overwhelmed - especially if she had a large litter.
"I'll come back and give you the report later" He told his mother "But I'm going to go and spend some time with Terreis while you guys talk" Honestly he didn't really belong in all this puppy talk, that was girls domain. Giving his sister a congratulatory lick he bounded off.
Chivosi looked a little bit alarmed as Aleu told her he wanted to make into a joke - she didn't want to think just how much verse would manage to put his paw in his mouth in that scenario and she breathed a sigh of relief as Aleu made it clear she was joking. Thank the moon.
"That is probably for the best, and you have many females in the pack with whom you can speak if you have questions" She reminded her daughter

"I know." She told her brother with a smile. "And don't worry, I plan to have you babysit them plenty." Aleu wasn't an idiot she saw what it was like to raise pups with Terreis and Merrill's litter, hell even Corvus had struggled at first with his two, so having those around that could lend a hand and give her time away was a relief. Watching Derecho bound off her attention turned back to her mother. "I'm sure I will be seeking advice from them quite often." This was so new and yet she knew of some things just from watching her nephews grow.
But right now there was something she needed to do, and as much as she wanted to stay and talk to her mother longer it was best not to put it off any longer. "I think I had best find Verse, tell him before my nerves get the better of me again." Stepping forward she nuzzled her mother and then turned, padding off in search of her mate, hopefully she could find him quickly.
