Oh if Gently only knew that Genevieve would have been right in step babbling about plays with her. All signs of cupcakes lost to the figurative wind. The sight of the other girl finishing her cupcake with such gusto made Genevieve's heart swell with pride and that warm fuzzy feeling generally associated with happiness. It was one thing for paying customers to enjoy her hard work but another thing entirely when it was a new friend.
Watching as the paper and pen were removed from their hiding places she scowled lightly when the word 'catastrophes' was used but it was quickly erased when Gently jokingly corrected herself. Taking the paper in hand she scanned it quickly before pulling out her purse and slipping it neatly into her wallet. Taking her cue from the paper she'd just put away, she took out a small business card and flipping it around; jotted down her full name and number as well. "It's a card for the bakery I work at," she explained as she handed it over. "We do catering as well, but if you mention I sent you it'll be free." She was being cocky and she knew it... But when you're good- you're good.

"I should invest in some more of these," Gently said, motioning to the business card. She usually had some, but sometimes she forget to restock. Sometimes being most of the time, of course.
She smiled.
"Well, the next time I have a party, or maybe concessions for a show? I'll give you guys a ring. Everyone loves some cupcakes. And no deals! We're both professionals, right?" She grinned, "plus, your bosses will love you for landing clients, right?"
Chuckling, she pocketed the card with her notebook, a place she never failed to check or remember. Sometimes her purse or wallet could sit at home forgotten, but never her notebook.
"Well, I think we've got some plans in the works, then! I very much look forward to the first lesson." She laughed, hoping she didn't blow any ovens up or something.

Grinning and nodding as Gently tucked away her card her expression only got wider and slightly more crazed as she thought about the lessons. It'd had been a very long time since she'd gotten to teach anyone how to bake even the most simple of things and now she had a willing, if not entirely optimistic, pupil sitting just before her. Clapping her hands together enthusiastically she held her urges to reach across the table and hug the other woman.
Straightening her back and placing her bag back onto the floor she offered the box of cupcakes to Gently. "The rest are yours if you'd like to take them home or find someone to share with." There were always more where that came from and it was pleasant to envision someone else stuffing their face with a wild abandon. Though it struck Genevieve that Gently probably wasn't the type to eat anything with near-disastrous gusto...

Gently looked surprised by the offer of the cupcakes, like it was a solid gold necklace or something.
"Are you sure? I mean, you were obviously bringing them home for your own purpose, and I don't want to steal your cupcakes away from you." Of course, by the look on her face she definitely did want to do just that, she just didn't want to admit to it out loud. She knew she looked guilty, and a grin spread across her face once more.
Disastrous gusto was, though unbeknown to Genevieve, being envisioned for the cupcakes by their new owner.
"Thank you very much! I'll give them a very good home. You know. For about three minutes, until they meet their fate." She laughed at that. She couldn't help herself around cupcakes, and had only just discovered this flaw in her character. She didn't have cupcakes nearly enough, she decided.

Genevieve laughed out loud and nodded in absolute agreement. "It will be an honorable cupcake death." Gently would learn quickly that sharing cupcakes and knowing they were appreciated was one of the sole reasons Genevieve liked to bake them so much. Having tasty treats on hand at all times was definitely another reason, but for the most part it was so that she could share said tastiness. Absolutely swelling with pride that her newest recipe was so well-liked it felt like her chest was just about to burst. "If you hadn't wanted them they would have just been absorbed by myself at the end of the night, and that isn't any fun." She looked down at her lap and giggled. "For my thighs in particular."
Looking up at the windows and past the doors to the outside, it looked like the wind was just starting to die away and that meant maybe the could get back to their task of hanging lights. It immediately made Genevieve glad she could help but sigh wistfully all the same at the thought of going back into the cold. Not incredibly lazy by nature but appreciating warmth all the same it made her feel torn and obviously so. "Well, my new friend and baking protege, I fear we might approaching the time to brave the snow again."

Gently laughed jovially, nodding her head.
"Well, you might, at the very least. I think I'm going to stay inside until it's time to run home as fast as possible. I have cupcakes to keep me company and a theatre to keep me warm. Snow? Bah!"
She grinned, then got up from her seat.
"Well, I definitely look forward to our first lesson. For now, stay safe out there! Don't get yourself lost in a snow drift or something."
She smiled and held her arms out expectantly. If Genevieve was leaving then Gently expected a hug. That was just how these things worked, and she was not going to budge on protocol, damn it.

Looking out at the snow again Genevieve shuddered, but the sky was telling her it was already well past when she needed to get home. There were things to do and they weren't going to get done if she hid in a theater for the rest of the evening. No matter how awesome the company was or how toasty warm it was within the walls.
Holding in another shudder she also stood, her eyes going wide at the demand of a hug. Then, without another second thought, she wrapped her arms about the older girl with a huge grin. A hug wasn't a hug unless lasts ten seconds... Then she let go with a laugh. "You just be prepared for my phone call, you! It'll come when you least expect it just like a pop quiz," she wrapped her scarf tightly about her face and from behind it came a very muffled- "but wif delithous rethuls!" Then with a wave and a wink she turned on one heel and hurried out of the door as quickly as possible to keep the snow from getting into the theater.

A length hugger! Gently couldn't complain about that. She didn't make people stay hostage in her arms if they wanted to just tap her on the back then flee, but she was also very much a fan of contact. She liked hugs.
They were just the girly equivalent of a handshake. And she was a girl, so it all worked out.
"I'll keep a silent vigil by my phone until it rings," she nodded, looking grave in her seriousness. It broke in a moment, though, of her own will, a smile and chuckle replacing the look.
She pondered the idea of a pop quiz. Would there be quizzes about the baking? She decided not to ask out loud, lest she give the other ideas. Gently had already gotten out of Uni alive, after all. She didn't want to risk going back.
"Stay warm! See you later!" She called, hurrying to close the door after waving her new friend goodbye. She turned and saw the cupcakes waiting for her. "Okay, one more, then back to work."
