"Uh. Sure. Murals. Or, you know. Dirty words or pictures of a p***s," she seemed innocent enough that saying something like that might actually offend her. Or she would just see the good in it, either way. He wasn't sure, but he was testing the waters, so to speak.
How could someone be happy about everything? They couldn't.
"Yeah, it's kinda of complicated. You either need natural skill, or a lot of focus," he sounded like he was bragging, one way or the other, but he didn't actually indicate if he had either. But it didn't matter: if she thought he did then he didn't have to be specific.
"It's nothing special, though. Most of the time I think art is overrated. Any kind of art. It's just an excuse for people to show off. Which I don't mind doing, but thinking it's any more important than that, I guess, is kind of dumb." He shrugged.

She frowned slightly. If frowning could be considered her mouth becoming a straight line. "So your talking vandalism?" she said, "I see." So there was a bad boy there after all!
"Are you good music?" she asked, blowing a piece of loose hair out of her eyes. Then the frown deepened a little, though from lack of understanding, not from anger. "That's a little bit of a hasty generalization dontcha think? I don't do photography to show off. I do it because it makes me happy. It makes other people happy. I get to express my feelings and it's so much fun! And when I'm older, it will be to make money, and travel, and tell people about the world. I'm not saying that there aren't people who do it just to show that they are -awesome-, I'm just saying that not everyone does that."
She switched legs, putting her left in front of her right. "And that doesn't make them dumb."

Nate listened, then scoffed and shrugged his shoulders. He grinned at her, wondering if he had found the right button to push.
"Well, you said you'll be doing it for money. You must think you're good. If you sucked at it would you still think it was so fun? People only do things to show off, in a big way, like you're thinking, or just for themselves. You don't do something you're not good at, because seeing it when you're done putting the effort in wouldn't pay off, in any sense."
He shook his head, putting his hands back in his pockets.
"I think I'm good, that's why I do it. But then, I don't try to hide the fact that I'm showing off." He laughed. It was getting colder, or so it felt from being out in it so long. "We're going to freeze if we stay out here too long."

"I think that I am good because people are willing to pay for what I do. You have not seen my work, so you can't make an empty judgment about the quality of my photos. I don't run around saying -Oh look how good I am!-" She sighed with mild irritation. Maybe it was the cold that was seeping into her that was making her jump a little. Or the adrenaline from being called a show off.
"It is starting to get really cold." She agreed, looking around. The snow had slowed finally, but the icy breeze was picking up just a little.

Nate grinned, nodding his head.
"You're getting offended, but I never called you anything. I'm just making conversation," he chuckled a bit, knowing full well that he had very heavily insinuated that he was talking about her, and not just every artist in general.
Either way, he wasn't making any friends.
"Hey, whatever though. I mean, if you like what you do, why not show off a little? Doesn't have to be a bad thing, especially if you're good at it. It's worse when someone who sucks at it makes a big show," he laughed at that.
Shuddering a bit, he nodded.
"Yeah, I'm going to head home," he said, moving off, though he wondered if he should have asked if she needed a walk home. The park was dangerous, after all. His senshi guilt got the better of him and he turned back, grumbling, "I'll walk you home, if you want, so you don't get mugged or something."

She took a deep breath, letting go of any tension she had. "I guess so. I don't really like showing off though...people who do kinda bug me."
Nate said he was going home. Castille nodded, wondering if it was too late for her to be walking home alone. She was on time when she left the store...now when she got home she'd have to sneak her bags past the living room where her family probably sat watching a Christmas rerun.
But he turned around, saying he was gonna walk her home. She smiled, saying "It would be nice to have someone. I assume you could protect me if someone attacked."
She walked the same direction he was going, taking the left fork in the path. "I live on this side of the park."

Nate nodded. He sighed, just moving with her, looking around the park lazily. He might have been a little less on edge if he were powered up, if only because he would be able to sense trouble coming for them.
He walked with her dutifully, though he didn't say much, mostly grumbling replies if she said anything as he walked her home.
The walk was uneventful, and no bad guys or youma or anything else troubled them for the duration. Which was nice, Nate supposed, if not a bit boring.
Not that he wanted them to get attacked, of course.

The walk was quiet if not a little awkward. Castille didn't say much, and Nate said even less. He seemed to be a little uptight, almost like he was expecting someone to pop out from behind a building or something. Castille found this a little odd, but decided not to say anything. Maybe he was mugged or beat up sometime ago, and he still was a little jumpy.
They walked generally side by side, with Castille just a little in front since she knew the way. She turned onto her street and walked three houses down, stopping in front of a two story house with christmas lights adorning the eves and bushes lining the driveway. The layer of snow in her yard was broken by footprints, and grass unearthed by rolling the pieces to the snowman that now stood proudly (if not a little lopsidedly) in the middle of the yard.
She turned to Nate and said brightly "Thank you for walking me home. I hope you don't have to go far to get home. If you do, sorry to make to walk farther." She paused, then said "If you'd like, you can borrow my scarf. It might keep you a little warmer." She set down a couple bags on the scraped sidewalk, and unwound the green and red scarf from around her neck.

Nate looked around the yard, one eyebrow raised. This family certainly liked their Christmas, it seemed. Of course, though Tony had decorated the apartment as best he could, there wasn't much of a place for lights or for... a yard. Living in a run down area of town, in a cramped apartment, they didn't have a large canvas for decorating.
Nate was mostly thankful for that.
"Nah, don't worry about it. It's not far." It was, but he didn't care. He could probably sneak a quick patrol in before anything else. He nodded his head, not worried about his own safety. He had just guilted himself into making sure she got home safe, was all.
He shook his head, waving his hand when she offered him her scarf. "It doesn't really go with... me. But thanks. I'm cool. The cold isn't that bad. Go... wrap your presents. Or whatever." He grinned, nodding his head and giving her a thumbs up.
He then returned his hands to their pockets, as it was far too cold.

She laughed at his humor. Granted it was somewhat dry humor, but something other than impassive which is what she seemed t be getting all night!
She smiled and said "If your sure your all right. Thanks again for watchin out for me! See ya around?" She waved as best she could with the bags and now a scarf in her hand and turned and walked up her walkway and into her house.
Once there, she did in fact have to sneak by her family wrapped around Frosty the Snowman to get her things safely tucked away. She sat on her bed by her bags, thinking about the strange kid that she had met.

Nate watched her as she went into the house, then rolled his eyes and made to head back the way he had come, so he could then head to Tony's apartment. It wasn't the closest, but he couldn't complain.
He had offered to walk her home, after all.
He was glad for the warmth when he got home, though, immediately heading to the bedroom for some sleep. Tony was asleep on the couch, as had become the normal arrangement for the two of them.
