"Yes grades. You're still getting an education, even if I have to beat it into you." the older girl insisted. As far as anyone would have been able to tell, she was pretty serious about that.
Heather just stared at the fish as Demy asked her whether or not she wanted to be introduced to them. They just... stared at her. It was more than slightly unnerving.
"Uh, I... guess so... I take it they are staying for sure then as well? Heh." Damn creepy glowfish.
"Yeah, really cool. I haven't seen anything really like that before."

"You can't beat -anything- into me, so NYEH." Here he stuck out his tongue, but quickly sucked it back in before Heather could retaliate by say, grabbing his tongue.
"Of COURSE they're staying! Their my fish! Zee bought me the glowing fish, and I won the other two at the Halloween fair thing! Here, lemme show you!" The boy hopped up and scooted over to the tank, drink still in one hand. He then proceeded to point out each of the fish as he named them off. "That's Crack, and Rave! Under the rock there is Acid, then there's Glowstick and that's Bob. The two in their own tanks are Nyco and Tyne." Demy seemed happy while talking about his fish, the happiest he had been since coming through Heather's door that day.
The fish simply stared blankly at Heather.

"Yeah... awesome..." she looked away from the fish. "Good to know. Well. Long as you keep their fishtanks clean I guess it's okay. I'm not doing that for you and if I find them filthy you will be taking them back to Zee." she insisted.
"Anyways, get settled, and we'll talk more later. Okay?" she looked around the room, "I guess you can decorate, but nothing permanent. Like paint or what not. Alright?"

"I can take care of them! I HAVE been taking care of them! I can't take them back to Zee because we're not supposed to have pets at Hillworth and they've been hiding in my closet Heather. I can't take them back there they'd be SAD and in the closet again. They're so much happier now that they're out!"
The fish still stared and occasionally swam around. So much for 'happy'. But hey, having to take care of -something- had to be good for the boy, right?
"I can decorate?" Green eyes lit with what could only be a dangerous amount of enthusiasm. "AWESOME! Won't paint, promise! It'll be great..."
And then he quickly crossed the room and latched onto the other with a tight hug. "Thank you..."

Yeah, having something to take care of would have to be good for the boy. Long as she didn't walk in on him having staring contests with them or making fish lips at them, anyways.
"Yeah yeah. It'll be just f-ACK!" the girl squirmed for a minute as Demy seemed to want to crush her spine, but finally managed to breath enough to settle down. "Heh. You're welcome." she wriggled out of the hug, then moved to the door.
"Enjoy your new room." with that, she walked back out to the living room, leaving Demy to get settled in for the night.
They'd have to go shopping in the morning.
