"No, no," she insisted. She kissed him on the cheek as they walked, and wrapped an arm around his waist. "I like that its a date."

She felt like asking him if he was her boyfriend, but felt that enough relationship talk had already been had. Besides, she hadn't been completely honest with him about who she was. She still hid that she too was a Senshi. As badly as she wanted to tell him, she knew it would be best to keep that as far on the down-low as possible. Especially given her involvement with the Blood Moon Court.

"What type of things do you think they'll have in your castle?" she asked. She hoped there was cake. Man, she was really in the mood for some cake.

He smiled at the kiss and at her words. Finally a date that was actually going well. Now he just had to make sure that he didn't accidentally leave her in space or something. That would be bad.

As they walked it was obvious that their steps were lighter than they were on Earth. While they didn't float or anything there was less resistance and a bit of bounce to their steps. When Orion's boot scuffed up a couple dirt clods they floated near the ground, falling very slowly. It was an odd thing to get used too.

"I'm not really sure, this is my first time here." He looked up at the castle and squinted. "It looks like it's in pretty bad shape though, doesn't it?"

"No, but, it still looks beautiful," Devi stated firmly. Sure, it looked like it was falling apart, but that didn't take away from its beauty. In fact, it might even enhance it to her. It was like seeing a city in ruins, there's still some aesthetic attraction to it in spite of the devastation. "First time here, huh? Its a good thing we made it in one piece."

She thought for a moment. "You do know how to get us back, right?"

Orion glanced down at her and his smile widened. The arm around her waist squeezed gently before he chuckled. "Oh don't worry, I'm definitely going to keep you in one piece. It wouldn't be nearly as much fun making out with you if you were in bits and pieces."

At her last question he glanced down at her. "Nope, no idea how to get back. We'll just have to live here forever and repopulate the planet." He wiggled his eyebrows at her and then laughed. "I'm joking, I definitely know how to get home. Just have to call Earth."

When they got closer to the cliff it was obvious that the winding pathway wasn't the only way up the cliff. A pully system had been built from what looked to be polished stone taken straight from the cliffside and had a large wooden basket attached that shone with some kind of lacquer coating. "Huh, I wonder if it still works." He stared at it and had a faint recollection of the feeling a smooth stone between his palms. Only his hands had been much larger, and hairier. The red head gave himself a bit of a shake, trying to snap out of the weird feeling.

"Call Earth? That sounds like a joke in itself," she teased. "Hey, Earth, though I'd give a call, how's the wife and kids?" She laughed at her own lame joke as they approached the pully system. The basket was rather large, seemed big enough for room for the both of them, and then maybe some extra room. Perhaps she'd act like there wasn't much room, and stay close to Orion.

"Lets hope it does work, otherwise we'll fall to our deaths and have our skulls crack on the ground, our blood and scrambled brains all over," she morbidly joked as she climbed in.

She briefly noticed something unusual with him. Perhaps he was just nervous about trying the pully system. She was a bit nervous too, but felt plenty safe enough being around Orion. She gently placed a hand on his bicep and smiled encouragingly. "Everything okay?"

Orion grinned at her joke, it wasn't particularly hilarious, but then that was Devi humour. His eyes looked over the basket and then back to her. "Heh, yeah. It looks pretty sturdy though...right?" He followed her into the basket, running a gloved hand over the smooth wood. It felt warm and familiar under his hand for a moment, but then the sensation was gone and it was just cold wood.

He stared at his hand for a moment, snapped out of it by her hand touching him. Turning he looked down at her and smiled. "Yeah, I'm fine, just had this weird deja vu feeling." Trying to reassure both him and her he leaned down planting a kiss on her lips before he inspected the inside of the basket. It didn't take him long to spot the crank. "I think this should make it move." Bracing himself next to the crank he cracked his knuckles and grabbed the handle with both hands, trying to turn it. At first it didn't move and he had to strain, using all his senshi-enhanced strength to get it to finally budge. It seemed the mechanism had been built for a larger, stronger person to use.

Once he got it going though the crank turned smoothly and the basket slowly started to lift up. "Hey, it works!" He grinned, muscles bulging as he kept turning the crank lifting them slowly up the cliff. He started to wonder what would happen if he stopped turning, would they plummet back to the ground? Well, he definitely wouldn't let that happen, he didn't want their brains to turn into scrambled eggs.

"Well, don't kill us," she said breathily. She was very nervous, despite all her joking. She had a morbid sense of humor, but she was still afraid of death. Unless it was an awesome death, like being eaten by zombies after holding her own for a long time in a zombie apocalypse. But falling to her death? So anti-climactic. She kissed him back and wrapped her arms tightly around him, embracing him as closely as she could.

He provided a nice feeling of safety, even though she was pretty sure he can't fly or do anything to save them if they were to fall, and there's nothing she could do as Requiem, either.

"Hopefully your castle feels more safely constructed than this," she grinned as she pressed her head into his chest. He was much taller than her - much like Damian was - but better built. "So this place was...your home once? Or what exactly?"

"I'll try not too, it'd be a shame for us to die virgins." So him being a virgin was an outright lie, but maybe she wouldn't question him.

It was slightly awkward to turn the crank while she hugged him, but he managed. He enjoyed having her pressed against him and didn't want to push her away. His mind flickered to the thought that she didn't really know who he was and he thought about telling her...but no, it wasn't the right time.

"Hey! This thing is pretty safe I reckon. I mean this is hand carved stone chain, and the basket is genuine Orion wood." He wasn't sure how he knew these things, he just did and it was obvious he was proud of the medieval elevator. Her second question and her pressing against him distracted him from the slight to the elevator. "I think so, it feels like home at least. I think that was a long time ago."

When they reached the top of the cliff Orion automatically reached down and flipped a latch that locked the crank in place. He stopped and stared after he did it, he didn't know the latch was there or what it did so it was weird that he had trusted that it would hold them. Shaking his head again he turned to Devi and grinned. "Time to explore." There was an excited gleam in his eye and taking her hand he lead her out of the basket and towards the front gate of the castle.

It was bigger up close, one tower missing the top two levels completely, rubble at it's base. There were four other other complete towers, and what looked to be a courtyard in the center of the structure. The whole castle was surrounded by a wooden palisade that had the same sheen that the basket had and inside that had been a moat but it had long dried up. The castle gate was down and the front entrance through the palisade was gaping open as well. Whatever had happened hadn't put the Orionians' on the defensive it seemed like.

She didn't respond to Orion's virgin comment. She wasn't sure how to respond to it. How did he know she was a virgin? Was it that obvious? He was one too, it seemed. Was he expecting sex from this intergalactic date? They had joked about it, but she didn't take it very seriously.

She became lost in her thoughts about Orion's comment that she completely tuned out to everything else he had said until they arrived to the castle. "Yeah, exploring, right," she said, snapping back to Earth - or rather, planet Orion. "Pretty deserted. Did everyone die?"

She realized that her question may not have been the most appropriate or sensitive, and that he was likely not able to give an answer. "You don't need to answer that, I'm sorry. Its just so quiet."

Her question rendered him speechless for a moment, but then he shrugged. "I guess so...I mean, it doesn't seem like anyone's here" He looked around as they walked up to the front gate of the palisade. When he saw how many cottage like houses had been built out of wood and stone he was slightly shocked. He hadn't expected there to have been so many people.

Turning away from the homes he looked towards the castle. "In we go." He lead her through the palisade, over the drawbridge that spanned that moat and into the castle. The entrance hall they stepped into was large, with high ceilings. Lining the walls were giant animal heads. Elk, bears, wolves, foxes, even a crocodile head. All the heads were larger than any animal that would be found on Earth.

At the back of the entrance hall was a giant statue of a women leaning forwards, one hand on her knee the other reaching out and making a 'come hither' gesture with her other hand. She had medium length hair and a low cut, Grecian looking dress on. Surprisingly the statue was whole and perfect looking except for a thick layer of dust.

Orion's silver eyes took in the entrance hall. The animal heads were a little odd, but the more he looked at him the more he felt...proud? Looking down at Devi he grinned. "You didn't tell me you decorated the place."

Devi was floored by the beauty of the interior of the palace. While most eyes may be drawn to the beautiful statue, Devi's eyes were instantly drawn to the series of animal trophies lining the walls. They were massive!

"Do you know how long it would take me to taxidermy an animal that big? It takes me hours to do a small ******** bird!" she exclaimed, feeling humbled by the impressive apparent talent of this planet's natives. She broke away a bit from Orion, touring the entrance of the main room, admiring the talent. Her eyes continued to drift until they finally landed on the statue. Immediately, her amazement shifted to an odd feeling of envy.

That statue was prettier than her.

"Who is that b***h?" she asked, her jealousy apparent. It was well known in the land of Devi's mind that all beautiful women were, in fact, bitches who deserved to be treated like one. She moved back to Orion and wrapped her arms tightly around him as to remind him of her presence. "She looks like a Greek whore."

Orion laughed at her exclamation, he honestly had no idea how long they took. "Well I think more than one person helped with these guys." He let her step away, his eyes continually returning to the statue. Something about it was nagging at the back of his mind. The women the statue depicted had been important to him. He didn't know how, or why, he just knew she was important.

Devi's words snapped him out of his staring and he burst into laughter. He couldn't help it. Looking down at her he smile and lifted his hands, cupping her face. Tilting her head upwards he leaned down kissing her deeply, letting his lips linger as he pulled away. "Whoever she is she isn't nearly as beautiful as you are." Grinning he kissed her forehead and then wrapped his arm around her waist. "Do you wanna keep looking around?"

She knew he was lying, or at least, she was pretty damned sure of it. She knew what hot looked like when she saw it, and that statue was definitely hotter than her. But she supposed there wasn't too much value in getting so worked up over a statue. It wasn't like it was any real competition - it was a statue. An inanimate, not-human statue.

"Yeah, lets keep looking around," she said, wanting to get away from the statue despite her awareness of how petty her jealousy is. "We could explore the castle, or go back outside. Its up to you, there's so much to see."

She thought for a moment about how truly special this date was. It wouldn't be one that she was allowed to share - superhero movies taught her that girl friends of superheroes must remain low-key to avoid risks - but definitely one she already knew she'd never forget. Going to space definitely beat out dinner and a movie, any day. Especially dinners that end in Negaverse attacks.

The thought of dinner made her stomach growl. Sure, it was plenty late in Earth-time, but this was around the time that Devi would go downstairs and pig out on frozen food.

"You think there's any food on this planet?"

With his free hand Orion ran his fingers through his hair looking around at the castle. "Let's head back outside, the castle is kind've creepy." He took one last look around the entrance hall and then lead Devi outside.

Walking across the moat he kept his arm around Devi's waist. It was weird being in space, on his home planet. The fact that Earth wasn't truly his home was also a staggering fact. It was going to take a while for the fact to really sink in.

Her words brought his silver eyes down to her and he shrugged slightly. "I have no idea. It doesn't seem like it, what we've seen has been completely deserted so far." He glanced around then back to her. "If you want we can go back and get something to eat on Earth."

"I can't believe I'm going to say this but, yeah," she said. She didn't want to leave this beautiful planet, but once her mind went to the topic of food, the only thing that was able to come to mind was delicious hot pizza rolls, cake, and other high calorie treats. "Do you know anything on Earth that might be open this late?"

"If not, I think I might have some snacks in the freezer in the funeral home, but there's also a frozen gerbil or two in there, so you'll have to look before you grab and eat."
