"Hmm?" Iamel blinked again - a habit out of his skittishness. "My glowing.. Oh! My glowsticks." He puffed out a bit at that when the other mentioned it, moving the can to one hand to hold up his other arm. A bright green glow stick dangled from his thin wrist.
"You pop them and they light up! They're just chemicals and stuff but they're really, really bright." Iamel nodded fiercely, shifting to pop the glowstick between his thumb and middle finger out, shaking the glowstick fiercely.
The light slowly spread through the stick, grinning a little bit. "See? And it stays like that, even in the dark."

On a cloudy day such as the one current, Savius's room managed to stay pretty dark. Oh sure, there was overhead lighting, but he never bothered with it. He didn't mind the dim atmosphere.
Which meant the glowstick showed incredibly well.
Reaching out, he tapped at it, as if he were Torvald or Ulle. The kittens, however, didn't come in his room. They seemed to remember the way he'd treated him when he still flew. And in all honesty, he'd be more than happy to continue chasing them around if they didn't always hide with Jer'ain.
"How?" He asked, touching it again, looking for a heat source. He knew from experiance that lights got HOT when you left them on. "What's in it?"

Iamel grinned proudly at the sight of the others face, glancing down at the shining stick in his hands as the raptor poked at his glowstick.
"Some sorta chemicals, Shiniee said." The smaller boy shrugged, waiting for the others fingers to draw back before doing a little quick movement. A few flicks of his wrists, sending the strung-on glowstick into a quick circle around the both of them, an arc of bright green light that quickly faded. "'S called a glo-light though. Just don' eat it, 'cause it can kill someone."

"Couldn't kill me." The Kestrel kid responded proudly, with all the rough bluster of the very young, or very powerful. And he was both, or neither. Still looking at the glowstick, he bit his lip thoughtfully, as if trying to puzzle out the deeper meaning of the green light.
"I want my walls to be like that." Savius announced at last. He had seen, in his time, only so much of the world. And the impossibility of somethings had yet to exist for him. If they could put it in a tube, it followed that they could put it in paint. And glowing walls, well that would just rock.

"Your walls can do this?" His eyes widened a little bit at that - the child assumed Savius knew something he didn't - after all...everyone seemed to. One small hand tightened around the glowstick, giving it another little shake with a grin.
"C'n you buy it at a store or something? You want walls that kill people?"
What a stupid question. Iamel knew the answer to that two seconds after it left his mouth; of course the boy wanted murderous walls... Savius was less bloodthirsty then Diacyn appeared to be but he was still a raptor. They were still carnivorous.

"Don't know where. Figure, Lithle would. She knows stuff." Savius shrugged, glancing around his room with restless discontent. Not that having a friend over wasn't cool, but he wanted more. He wanted to DO something. Eventually, an idea struck him, and he bounced to his feet.
"I'm hungry. Want to go get something to eat?" Without waiting for a response, he whistled, calling Fen into the room. "Hold out your hand, to him." He instructed Iamel, all but bouncing in place with restlessness.

Poor Savius! Iamel had no clue on how to lead things - he was a follower. He agreed or disagreed and went along with everything eventually. He could tell Savius was restless though, dark eyes watching as he bounced to and fro, gaze intense on the other being.
"Food?" This perked him up, feeling his own body start to hum slightly. Can we say 'caffiene'? Oh yes we can! "I...okay." Those eyes widened, one small hand being held promptly out to the animal, head tilting to the side. "he won't chew my hand off, right?"

"He doesn't eat people unless I tell him to." Savius promised, taking a sword off his belt and swinging it absently. Fen, hulking brute of a dog that he was, sniffed at the offered hand under the Kestrel's watchful eye, "Fen, guard!"
A single bark from the dog, and Fen's tongue came out to gently taste the flesh in front of him. Guard. He could do that. He looked like he could take out a bear if he wanted too.
"C'mon!" He led the way out of the room, to where Lithle was still occupied with reading on the couch, she looked up when they entered and raised an eyebrow without speaking.
"We're going hunting." He told his Companion, flashing her a quick, charming grin. "With Fen."
"Don't get yourself arrested." Lithle gestured them toward the door, "And remember, I'll have you put down before Fen. No more attacking little kids."
"Whatever. Honest mistake. She looked like a squirrel." He put his hand on the doorknob, "C'mon Iamel."

"Gaurd?" He blinked and laughed, fingers wriggling a little bit. "Is that really a dog? S'not like...a ...bigger furryier thing then a dog?"
Poor, innocent Iamel on sugar highs. He was bouncing gently on his toes, eyes wide and happy when he saw Lithle. "What's put down mean? Why'd we get arrested for hunting? Hunting is fun and little kids like Keela are meant to be eaten! Shiniee says - c'mon?"
A blink at Savius command, toes bouncing as he followed after the taller man. "Okay! Lets go get squirrels!"

Pushing through the door, Savius rushed toward the stairs. Sure, they could take the elevator, but what was the fun in that? He had more energy than anyone deserved, and he was used to the sugar. Oh, there was going to be trouble when they got outside.
"He's dog enough. Lithle made him special, and trained him herself." With a bit of a struggle, he got onto the railing, sliding down the first flight of stairs and laughing as he went. Hopping back down when he reached the bottom, he scratched the hulking beat that was Fen lovingly behind the ears, "Sometimes I think he has a bit of us in him. He just feels that way. Don't you brother?"
A sharp bark from Fen, and yes, there was a spark of something to him. Iamel would be able to feel it if he could reach for it through the sugar high. Something not quite mortal... though certainly not as godlike as the boys themselves.

"She made him?" He sounded curious, hopping down the stairs, three at a time, glowing and sparkly self going every which way. he grinned, head tilting as he watched Savius, glancing at Fen. "A bit of us? Like...one of Shanuhs, but not?" He could understand that - he's met a few.
Small fingers reached for that fuzzy thing for a casual pat, a gentle movement surprisingly out of character for the hyper boy, giving Savius a wide grin. "Are we gonna find squirrels?"

"She made him special. I don't think she actually made him." Savius clarified, hopping up onto another banister, but not letting himself slide down this time, tight grip holding him in place. "And I'm not sure what like. He feels like..."
A pause, as he searched for words, trying to get in touch with the older bits of himself, the ones that seemed hazy now. "I don't know. I'll figure it out."
Fen leaned into the touch, huge jaws open and panting, showing off impressive teeth. Yet he seemed friendly enough.
"Yeah. There's lots at a park near here. Hope you're hungry." He released his lower hand, holding himself in place still with his remaining hand, "You gonna slide?"

"Oh." And that was it, bouncing up and down slightl, grinning at Savius' lack of description. "Well, I like him anyway! He's big and fuzzy - I like fuzzy."
He glanced down, nose wrinkling, "You're fuzzy," The child informed the animal, giving him another pat and ruffle of the fur before responding to Savius, colored eyebrows arching.
"I...I dunno how to slide. Should I know how to slide?"

Fen made a sound somewhere between a growl and a whine, the tone easily read as some form of approval, as he allowed himself to be petted. His long tail wagged back and forth a few times, though without the crazed enthusiasm of some dogs.
"Of course you should know how to slide." Savius stated, jumping back down off the banister. "You must not have stairs at your house." He added, more than happy to make excuses for his friend's ignorance.
"You want to try it?" Not the sort to push his ideas on others, he did present it as an option, not an order. But it was clear enough that he expected an affirmative answer.

Savius would soon learn that iamel agreed to almost anything as long as it didn't mean his Shiniee would get hurt. He hopped a bit with a grin, nodding enthustiastically.
"I sit like you said?" Head tilting, moving towards the stairs with a little impish expression to his face. "And just....I just slide? I won't fall and die or anything?"
