Achilles highly doubted that Varia meant anything she said - likely as soon as he turned his back he would go back to her old ways - and possibly scheme to kill him along the way, not that such a thing was new to the mottled wolf. Lots of wolves had tried to kill him in the past and he was still here now wasn't he?
Certainly he'd given her more of a fight then she had ever expected from a male and the wounds she got would be a reminder of that each and ever day - to him they were but new scars on top of many old ones. The wouldn't pester him nearly as much as they did her and that was a pleasing thought. "I am not asking you to withhold discipline fool, merely to temper the scale to that which is deserved rather then using it as an excuse to garner perverse pleasure in their torture for yourself" Truly Varia had issues, only a wolf with mental problems would gain such joy at the suffering of another. Achilles killed but he didn't torture.
"And if you continue to torment and torture the slaves....to beat them for no reason other then your own boredom, wound them for no reason then their gender or to drive pups beyond what is safe for their age...then I will find you Varia, some day when you least expect it I will come for you and we will finish this fight...and regardless of the outcome you will not leave it unscathed either in body or pack standing, that I will promise you" He warned in a cold and calculating tone the left no room to doubt just how serious he was.
As for the pup..it would be silly and foolish to merely hand over her exact location, the moment he told her he'd likely start the entire fight back up again. No he would not tell her outright. "She is safe...for now, unless of course I fail to return for her, in which case all bets are off...return to your den and I shall retrieve her, send her safely home to your waiting paws"

If Achilles thought his threat would be taken completely serious by Varia then he was horribly mistaken, though she pretended to take his words for what they were and nodded slightly. So badly did she want to rip his throat out as he once again did not tell her where Chilapa was but merely said he would send her home if she returned to her den. It took every ounce of her being not to leap at him that very moment. If only he had have told her where Chilapa was then she could have rid the pack of this male.
"And I swear to you," she said as she took a single step closer. "That is a single hair on my daughters body is harmed that no pack, not even the orders of my Queen will stop me from ripping you limb from limb." Already it was late in the afternoon, and while training would happen soon Varia was actually in no mood to deal with any of the sisters at this moment. "If she is not back in my den before night fall, consider yourself a dead man." Varia stood there for a long moment staring at Achilles, he would know she was serious, and while she hated to leave him alive she really had no other choice at this moment. Slowly she turned and padded off, she would go to her den, no because he told her to, but because she needed some time along to think and plot what to do next, and Gods help him if Chilapa did not come home.

Achilles merely gave her a wolfy grin as she threatened him - he had been threatened by better wolves then her. Of course in Achilles opinion Varia was about as low as a wolf could get. None the less unlike her he would be true to his word and Chilapa would return safely - when Varia inevitably didn't hold up to her end of the bargain then he'd be justified in taking further action.
Once more he found himself plagued with 'ifs' and 'could haves' - If this had been a real pack, if he was a true Apha here..then he could have done more then this simple threat..he could have put her in her place with no further thought on the matter. As it was he was hindered by silly traditions and foolish rules - and he had done what he could within them..or just outside of them really..though he doubted anyone would ever know as much.
Giving a shake of his pelt he shadowed her trail through the woods long enough to make sure she was indeed returning home before turning back to collect Chilapa. He'd return her as promised - likely even better then she had been before with the days rest.
