*rolls eyes* Why does everyone hate Nightwish? For God sake. Everyone is scared of Tarja's voice just because she's trained in Opera and is a proper soprano..

I suppose (on reflection) that it wasn't really terrible, just quite ifferent from the usual fare. Caught me by suprise, you know? I was expecting Crawford/Brightman or Butler/Rossum and her voice was an entirely different kind of style. Must be an aquired taste.

It's artistic license. She raised the role an octave and had a man from a different band sing it with her (I forget who). Nightwish is generally Operatic Rock, which is not a surprise since it's a Finnish band, where most of those types come from.

Opera's an acquired taste. PotO is an acquired taste. EVERYTHING is an acquired taste.

Opinions are only marvelous when said opinion has reasoning. XD

I'll agree though. I'm just sour because Opera's a dying art and I'm not too happy with it getting replaced with rap and hip-hop.

That I can understand, most definitely. That's not music, it's screaming, and banging on perfectly good instruments in the background. I'll have to keep your words in mind next time I run into a opera

HOKAY.

Don't ask how, but I came across one of the most odd crossovers ever on Youtube today.

The video is called "Vader of the Opera" guess what PotO cross overs with. XD

Speaking of scary things on YouTube, has anyone seen that Gerry cell phone wake-up call thing? (The one where he says "Welcome to the Phantom of the Opera...RAWR!")

Oh man... there's all those Phantom and V versus... ______ ones. As well as Phantom versus V... but V totally pwned him in that. But Phantom PWNED Jack Sparrow.

Silent PotO fanfilm

When I first saw this, I thought it was a bad professional film, but then I realized that it's a fanfilm! A really good one, considering what they had to work with. It's funny how you can tell the set is just a house (the roof scene rofl ) but the performance is very good. And it's a silent film, so no bad singing xd A really well done silent.

Musci Video of PotO, Before the Musical Opened

This is one of the most terrifying and hilarious things ever created.

And make sure to stay until the end. The ending thirty seconds tops the horror that that past four minutes provided.

I still can't decide which is worse, Erik's mask or Raoul's hair.
