Alex was walking down the steps to the dining hall, when a owl landed on her shoulder."Ah! Yeah give me a heartattack, Soar." Soar whoed like she was laughing. She noticed one of the teachers at the school Mr.Dresden, she waved when she saw him.

"AH! Well hellooooooo there Miss. Simmons!" Kincaid smiled and gave a hearty wave back to the young pyromancer. "Good to see one of the students is awake and full of life." He spun his staff and began to whistle as he made his way over to the girl. He noticed the owl upon her shoulder and he bowed. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance my fine feathered friend." The turtle on his shoulder didnt move an inch, but just stared off into oblivion.

"Well I am not that awake but I'm used of getting up this early you now, cause my father would train me when the sun came up, I hated that. Soar don't even think about eating the turtle, go and fly off and get food that you can swallow." Soar opened her wings and flew off,"I would love know how to fly, but I don't have any wings."

"Wings are not necessary. Just the drive and the passion." Kincaid smiled and waved his hand over the turtle. The runes on its back began to light up and it's eyes grew wide. Slowly its body began to diminish into sand in the wind. Once it was gone, Kincaid raised his hand and muttered a low incantation. The orb at the top of his staff began to glow a bright white, swirling with minor winds. Waving his hand onto his shoulder again, a miniature owl made its perch spreading its wings to reveal new runes, a guardian of wind. "Funny thing about summoning, the small ones are always the most fun." The runes on its wings lit up with life and Kincaid began to levitate. "If your ever in my summoning class, ill be sure to teach you how to summon this very wise spirit." he smiled and landed back on the ground.

Alex smiled,"Thank you but my offensive light class is making me do a summoning over, I have to summon a spirit hawk but everytime I try it always a big ball of light and disappear. Am I doing something wrong?"

"Hmmm the hawk of life.....kinda of difficult, but easy enough!" Kincaid grinned and he crossed his arm. "Well show me what you got and how your doing it." The owl on his shoulder started cleaning his feathers and made a tiny hoot. "Alright your down my friend." A small tornado surrounded the owl and it disappeared.

Alex nodded and made a ball of light came to her hand, she cartwhiled and then jumped to land on her feet so she can snap her arms forward, the hawk came but back fired on her."See what I mean, I practice day and night and this what I get."

"Well with summoning its not like willing magic, your asking a creature of the element of light to come to your aid. So instead of treating it like a spell....treat as if your calling a friend to come over to your house." Kincaid grinned."Creatures of the other world are the same as you and me, but with stronger powers and could kill us easily.....but if you ask nicely they won't" He chuckled and motioned for her to try it again.

Alex smiled and nodded and back where she started. She made th ball of light in her hand and thought,'Please come to me hawk spirit and be my friend.' Alex cartwhiled and then jumped to land on her feet so she can snap her arms forward, the hawk came and landed on her arm, Alex smiled,"I did it!"

"Tada!" Kincaid applauded and smiled."Congrats. If you ever need advice on summoning my door i always open." He nodded and pulled a book out of his cloak. "Also, your best friend in magic, is your books. Good tip." He nodded and opened his book and began reading. "Shall i walk you to the cafeteria?"

"Sure. What is the day when the parents of the kids in school come here to visit?" Alex just wanted to know evern though her parents are dead and nobody form her side of the family ever visits.

"well im gonna have to say its next week, but im not one for formalities." Kincaid rubbed his chin as he continued walking. "Why do you ask? In all my years here i haven't seen any of your family."

"I know, my parents are dead and every since that day my whole family think I am nothing just a burned picture, I send letters after letters, nobody resbonds. I just wanted to know maybe on that day you can help me with some of my summoning if that is alright with you."

"Well of course, i understand how lonely it can be on that faithful day. My parents never showed either, but they were alive so in a way its different but the same. Id be glad to help you with your summoning." Kincaid smiled and opened the door to the cafeteria holding it open for Alex. "After you."

Chelsey was awake again...this time she picked up her phone and called Kincaid. "Hewwo~~~" she said dazed.
