Perhaps it was a familiarity that overstepped her bounds, the way Serandite treated the other, but the fact that she had met the other, when they were both lieutenants, could possibly allow such familiarity. Serandite had seen several stages of Tanzanite-- only brief glimpses-- but this one reminded her of the Aree from way back then. Was that temporary? Possibly. But a good thing.

"Yo, Raite! Joining the party, are we?" Serandite grinned, watching the captain fly past. That looked really fun! She stared suspiciously at the bunny weapon, wondering if that could possibly work. Was fabric a good sliding material? More often times no than yes. Would it make an excellent snowball buddy, offense and defensively? Absolutely.

Zanazziite had completely lost track of the rest of the gathering, her focus on the arm. It seemed the thing was independently controlled from Tanzanite since the Captain wasn't shooing her off like any sane person would do to someone all up in their personal space bubble.

Violet eyes were wide as the arm listed and she was surprised to see it had a mouth, a mouth with a lot of teeth. Fortunately for her she didn't scare easily when it came to animals or youma, so the teeth didn't intimidate her all that much. She only blinked when the tongue came out, briefly wondering if the arm had to eat. And if it did then what exactly did it eat? Starseeds maybe? Or just regular food. A hand moved to her waist about to reach into a pocket that wasn't there for the bacon bits she carried around for wayward animals. The hand dropped when she remembered that she was Zanazziite and not Claudia.

Her disappointment at not having any treats for the arm vanished when it licked her cheek. A grin bloomed on her face and reaching up she scratched the inside of Tanz's wrist which she thought would be equivalent to under the arm's chin. Her other hand petted the back of her hand as she laughed. "Well aren't you a good youma! I bet you're all kinds of smart." For a moment she wondered if she could maybe teach it tricks, but then she remembered it was attached to someone. It was slightly awkward to be petting and scratching Captain Tanzanite, but it wasn't like she was rubbing the older girl's belly. Just stroking her hand, which wasn't nearly as weird right? A bit shyly she glanced up at Tanz. "Does it have a name?" How can I get one was going to be her next question, but she had a feeling that the process would be extremely unpleasant and most likely involved losing one of her limbs which wasn't on top of her things to do list.

"I'll reserve judgment on that." Raite remarked to Hel. looked rather doubtful. He never thought he would say this.. but he was beginning to get a glimpse of how lucky he was to be assigned beneath formerly Captain, now General Obsidian. He wasn't exactly sure how long he would have held up under Scheelite. Maybe a day? Or a few hours? No doubt it wouldn't have been long with his low tolerance. It would have ended up in a less then desirable outcome. The scenario involved at least one dead body being buried. Negaverse included.

He folded his arms, still staring at the spectacle. His gray eyes didn't take its gaze off the snow mountain. The purple hair captain with her youma arm? Tanzanite, was it? The person that Serandite had warned him about? He wasn't one to take information blindly, but he did realize that he would have to be cautious with the captain and her youma arm.

A reluctant remnant of a smile tugged at the corners of his mouth at the only plausible answer to his question. He couldn't help but ask another, "..Did he regret it often?" Raite had to be careful when speaking about their crystal-encased former superiors. But at the same time, he couldn't imagine their superior not face-palming when faced with the stranger captain's antics.

Tanzanite's words summed it up quite well. <******** my life. "Agreed."

He looked over to Serandite with a mildly curious glance acknowledging her before asking, "Is it always like this?" But even as he asked, he was already resigned. And making the best of it from the way he was rolling up his sleeves to prepare to participate in the snowball fight.

"Fair enough it is best to hold off on opinions. Still he kind of grows on you after a while in a strange way?" It was true, she didn't have much of a reason to disprove of the hyperactive captain. He could be annoying, but it seemed for the most part his intentions were in the right direction in a vague way. Though his idea to gather a bunch of them in the middle of a snowy lane was a bit odd it did make for a nice meet and greet to the other agents. "To be honest I don't really know most of your names, well outside of Para, Schee, and Zink."

She turned to Tanzanite and shrugged slightly offering a smile, "Sorry about the snowball by the way, didn't mean to get your face with it."

"And you shouldn't be berating my ability to conceal things from you..." Zink shot back in regards to who's side he 'should' be on before making his own dodge from the improvised sled.
"GOOD GOD!" He snapped dusting himself off having fallen into a snowbank himself.
Some fine show of negaverse organization and dignity this all was he humphed to himself, though it was rather hypocritical given he wasn't exactly leaving any faster than anyone else.
If the fact certain people were conspicuously ignoring him bothered him in the slightest it must have been more than made up for by his small victory with the cake...and they were subsequently ignored in turn.

“Every day of his short and miserable life,” she muttered her response to Raite, but the corners of her lips twitched in a vague, fond smile. Their former superiors were dead for all intents and purposes, but both of them had a role in Tanzanite's life that the young woman never could have forgotten. Her callous words and emotionless drawl were a way of masking the fact that the image of them entombed still haunted her. It had been Beryl herself who had shown Tanzanite their fate, perhaps to ensure that the Captain had no remaining loyalties to the couple at whose wedding she had been a maid of honor.

Still, even with Queen Beryl breathing down the back of her neck, Tanzanite could never forget what she owned to Charonite and Nealite. For all of his faults, the General-King had never held back his opinions. She nodded again as Raite echoed her sentiment, and likely would have continued to watch in stoic silence had her arm not begun shaking happily.

Oh, what the <******** ********> Tanzanite's eyes widened (and then promptly narrowed) as her attention was brought to... whatever the hell it was that was going on between Zanazziite and her arm. Tanzanite's control over the thing was minimal at best, but she managed to jerk the arm away, scowling as she spoke.

“Yes,” she droned in that monotone voice, “It's name is If-you-continue-to-treat-my-arm-like-a-lost-puppy-I-am-going-to-rip-your-starseed-out-of-your-chest-and-eat-it.” The arm seemed to fall limp at her side, the spines at her shoulder laying flat against her neck much like a dog tucking it's tail between it's leg. Tanzanite murmured something to it, gently squeezed the space between the clawed thumb and index finger, and it seemed to return to normal. She barely had to bend for the large hand to scoop up a head-sized pile of snow.

“It's fine,” she responded to Hel, “but I do hope you understand.”

The arm shot forward with Negaverse-boosted speed, with full intentions of smashing the snow in Hel's face like a comical cream pie.

As much as she might have always outwardly disapproved of Scheelite on principle, she was slowly beginning to learn the important of balance in the life of a Negaverse agent. While people like herself and Obsidian served their purpose in combat, they needed individuals like the hyperactive Captain to keep balance. People who remembered what it was like to be human.

Charonite was probably turning over in his crystal grave.

Zanazziite couldn't help but laugh again when the arm started shaking. It was adorable and it seemed so happy to see her she had to wonder how much attention it usually got.

Unfortunately her happy little meeting with the arm was broken up by the not-so-happy Tanzanite. Eyes wide the sixteen year old stepped back. "Sorry! I just like youma." She felt the need to explain, she was after all just molesting someone's arm. She gave the arm one last glance and then stepped away looking around at those gathered. She noticed that Scheelite had managed to get himself down the alley on a trash can lid. Could she maybe sled on her antlers? She could probably fit one foot in each and she didn't weight very much.

Summoning them she flipped them over examining them, they were smooth one one side. With all these pros she couldn't help but try, unfortunately she never thought of the one large con. She had no idea how to steer them. Without delay she went over to where Scheelite had started his trash can sled and put down both antlers.

She looked at the antlers and taking a deep breath ran and jumped on them. They held her weight, and they even started sliding down the hill carrying her with them. The success was such a surprise that Zan barely had a chance to balance herself. They picked up speed and her arms started to pinwheel trying not to fall over.

AHHHHHHH!" Her yell wasn't filled with nearly as much excitement as Schee's was. Instead it was more like 'oh s**t I'm about to crash' which is pretty much what happened. Losing the battle against gravity she flew backwards tumbling off the antlers which kept going without her, and her own momentum made her roll forwards snow coating her dress. Finally she stopped, back where she started by all the other Lieutenants and Captains. "Ouch." Yeah, antler skiing was not a good idea.

Wolfram was used to Schee as far as his antics went – to some extent. The man always pulled out a surprise that made him wonder WHY of all things, but when he explained it with the fact that this was Scheellite, it made sense. For every insane idea or thought, he just tossed out who the person was who was doing it and it explained it perfectly. That was who the blonde was. He was a spontaneous pleasure-seeker who usually never looked into the future for the consequences of his actions or the dangers of what he wished to do. At least Scheelite had sense to not do this in front of a police station, though that was probably only because the snow wasn't that high there for a snowball fight.

Still, he did appreciate the sense of community that such a simple get together brought. He never liked that most members of the Negaverse didn't want to socialize and barely knew each other. They were a small group after all – though much bigger now than when he first joined – but smaller than the senshi. For that reason, it only made sense that they form a sense of community. It had been something he had been meaning to speak to his superiors about, but he worried that they would turn it down with the fact that they were supposed to be business and not play.

As a few snowballs were thrown with such force that they could have broken a nose, of which Wolfram found himself inching a little more towards Serandite, a friend and former teacher of his, he decided that talking and playing was the name of this game. He just really didn't like how fast Scheelite and then a girl on antlers was going. "Be careful you two!" He shouted, sounding like a worried mother. Really, Scheelite needed a helmet…all the time.

So maybe he should play? He was trying to get better at his aim after all, and he looked down at the snow, biting his bottom lip.

In a way, doing crazy things were a big part of Scheelite's life. Each crazy thing he did set a bar, and the next thing he did had to go above and beyond that. Really, it had gotten him this far! He used to be a lieutenant that really didn't get any work done at all. Now he was a captain that got work done, on bigger scales each time he set out.

Oh yeah, and he also used his free time to call together parties and then go rocketing through said parties on a makeshift sled. There was that too.

The blonde emerged from the snowbank he had driven himself into , shaking snow off his uniform much like a dog would shake off water. He was laughing still, clearly amused by his antics.
"Dudes, that was <******** awesome. You guys gotta try it! Or throw some snowballs or SOMETHING. Cmon guys, we stand around enough at regular meetings. This is a PARTY! Live it up a bit!"

To Zanazziite he offered a big thumbs up and a cheer as she went barreling into the snow. Sure it wasn't the most graceful thing ever, but one couldn't learn without trying. If she ever tried that stunt again, she'd do better the second time. He was sure of it! And if she didn't...well, the first time had been pretty awesome...to watch at least.

While tormenting Tanzanite, Raite, or any other of the group gathered would have been fun, there was someone else who needed his special form of attention. Wolframite was staring down at the snow with unease and simply begging for the blonde to come over and urge him to have some fun. So, that was what he did!

"Wolfy wolfy wolfy...cmon man, just do it, you know you waaaant to!"
Scheelite had slid up to the other captain, putting his hands on Wolframite's shoulders in an encouraging gesture. For now he'd play the role of a coach, urging his fighter to do his very best! ...Or the role of a delinquent simply searching for others to join his fun. Either way, he was doing his best to convince Wolframite that there were worse things out there than a little snowball fight in the alley.

In a strange way, that was the purpose Scheelite served in the Negaverse. His personaliy was almost infectious, and served well to draw people in as evidenced by those who had gathered for their get together. Some of these people he had never even met and yet for one reason or another they had chosen to accept the blonde's invitation and show up. If nothing else, he kept morale up, and that was something even a dark organization needed. It was quite possible Scheelite was the glue keeping things together.

Either Charonite was rolling in his grave, or he had -planned- this, which was likely an even scarier thought.

Scheelite came back rosy-cheeked and looking very chipper with getting closer to catching hypothermia, and just seeing all the snow on him made Wolfram rub his shoulders as a shiver ran down his spine. Not one for personal boundaries, the blonde swept over and wrapped an arm around his shoulder – making Scheelite tilt at an angle just to pull off this move. True, he wasn't as short as the blonde's frowny-faced teammate (and maybe boyfriend?), but he wasn't as tall as Schee either.

Looking up, he gave him a worried, confused look at the nickname 'Wolfy', which sounded weird when you actually said it out loud (was this his nickname?), and then at the verbal prodding to get him to have some fun. Darnit! He had been caught looking at the snow! He should have just looked at his hands instead –which were the one thing that wasn't covered on him and made him wish he brought along some mittens.

"I don't know what you're talking about!" He said, his voice hitting a little pitch that completely denied what he said. Nervous, he started to rub his hands together, trying to get some warmth in them just to distract his hands and look about. Okay, it was true. They had come here to have fun and they all didn't do much aside from standing when they went to official meetings. He'd also admit that he always wanted to get closer to his fellow Negaversers by being involved in one big, fun get-together, outside of business, in hopes that he'd make some more friends in the Negaverse. As far as it went, he had very few despite how long he had been around. Not as long as some, but still time that he should have known more people.

But he worried that if he went about throwing snowballs, everyone would hate him for it and then he really wouldn't get on other good side not to mention that some of these people were his superiors in not just rank, but because they were around longer. This usually meant they would be getting to general soon or at least were higher up the ladder than he was. If he went about looking like a kid, wouldn't they think low of him and remember that one instance where he was just goofing around in the snow? He didn't want to create a bad image, and from how some of the others were frowning, they clearly didn't think much of Scheelite.

…though Scheelite didn't deserve that sort of treatment. Sure, he was hyper (something Ladon blamed on poor diet of just sugar and junk foods), and he seemed unfocused, but he had been his teammate from way back when they were on Lina's team. Not to mention Schee was one of his few friends in the Negaverse.

Biting his lip, he looked up at the blonde before leaning up to whisper into his ear. "You won't get angry if I hit Zink with a snowball, will you?" Scheelite seemed like the protective type after all. He knew the blonde loved to just talk non-stop about 'Z', as Schee liked to call him. He didn't want the neon-blue captain to freak out if he picked on his friend.

Acid green eyes lit with mischief rather than anger at the whispered question. So, little Wolfy wanted to hit his Zink with a snowball huh? Well since Zinkenite had arrived on the scene and immediately thrown a snowball at him...

"Go for it."
The blonde whispered back as encouraging as possible.
"He's a little target, if you can hit him with a snowball than that says something about your aim, right? Though you know Zink...he's pretty goot at revenge. But if he starts throwing snowballs at you I'll throw some back at him and then we'll have a snow war!"

Whispered instructions given, Scheelite stepped back a bit and watched to see what Wolframite would do.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 28, 2010 2:13 pm

He couldn’t help a small smile as he was given the go ahead and in addition, the pledge to given return fire if a war broke out. Part of him wonder if it would. Zinkenite was usually a very collected, all-business sort of person that he found it hard picturing him laughing and making a snow fort. However, that didn't mean it would stop Wolfram from making an attempt. Part of him had always wondered if Zink had a more childish side seeing as he was with Scheelite. Surely prolonged exposure to the hyperactive captain would rub off on Zink to some degree, or maybe Zink was the somber note mellowing out his bouncy, blonde friend.

Seeing as Zink was talking to other people, he could only hope he didn't notice, though whispering with Scheelite was bound to attract attention from anyone. It never meant good, sane things.

"You're right. It will be a compliment to Zink if I hit him seeing as he's 'helping me a bit. I'm sure he'll be touched." He whispered back, and reached up to pretend to dust the snow off of Scheelite's shoulders, but instead collecting it. When he pressed a good ball in his hands, he stepped back, calculated his aim, and threw directly at Zink.

Zink threw up a hand like he meant to try and catch the flying snowball like a baseball, it was a far worse idea than dodging, not unlike trying to catch one of his smoke pellets, it exploded the snowball into a white firework of cold ice fragments. that sprayed him in the face.

He dusted off looking a mite irritated but his gaze flicked with an arched eyebrow between Wolfram and Scheelite. "Hmmmm..." He said, dangerously studious.

For a long moment, Tanzanite's eyes lingered on Zanazziite, watching even after the girl stepped back. There was just something wrong with a teenager who found an arm best known for once eating an alien's face off to be interesting. As the girl joined the others, Tanzanite watched. They seemed.. happy, which struck the perpetually pissed-off Captain as both strange and somewhat fascinating. Did they not understand what they did to people when they stole a starseed, what they did to families and homes and lives? It baffled her that there were people who could still find joy in their bleak and dreary world that did not come from serving the Negaverse, and she observed with a veiled sense of longing.

Tanzanite smiled, and though the expression was vague, it was sincere. Her gaze snagged on Scheelite for a brief moment, long enough for her to try and catch his eye. If able to, she would mouth a quiet 'Thank you', before nodding once, and vanishing back into the dark subspace of the Negaverse.

She knew herself well enough to know that she could bring little more than trouble to such a gathering, and even her cold heart did not have it in it to extinguish that small glimmer of joy left in the others. The world, she was certain, would do that soon enough. She took her leave calmly and quietly, and in her own way relished the small flutter of her heart that made her feel – for the first time in months – almost like the teenage girl she had once been.
