The storm raged for quite a while beyond when Kush fell asleep, not letting up until somewhere between midnight and pre-dawn. It made for a rather soggy night, and it would probably be a miracle if neither of them became ill for it.
As the sun finally rose the changing light caused the injured young stallion to stir. Initially he wasn't sure where he was or why and tried to stand a bit too quickly in his surprise. The jolt of pain from injuries roughly moved and muscles stiff from sitting still in the damp for so long brought the disorientation to an abrupt end.
He managed to bite back more than a pained grunt, somehow, and hobbled out from under the branch and peered around for his unlikely rescuer. Finally spotting her atop the rocks he offered her a pained smile. "...Morning." He wasn't going to go so far as to claim it was a good one, though.

Wolf slowly opened her eyes then blinked them a few times to clear her vision. Evidently she had slipped into slumber at some point in the night. It took her a moment to begin processing everything around her. Once she had she found that she was cold, wet, a little hungry and not dead. Honestly, she was grateful that nothing had come at them in the dark as she seemed to make a rather poor look out altogether. She would have to do a better job the next time.
With a great yawn she stretched out her tail and neck before shaking to rid herself of what rain water she could. Perhaps it would have been smart to make a branch shield for herself but it was too late to think about that now. "Morning." She replied as she carefully picked her way down from the rocks. She was not the most coordinated thing after waking and was quite glad she had a tail that acted naturally as a counter balance to assist her. Once on level solid ground she shook again and then closed the distance between herself and Kushanu.
"How are your injuries?" She inquired leaning a little closer to peer at his wing. It didn't really look any different today then it had yesterday with the exception of being brighter in the better light. Without really waiting for an answer she continued, "We should get you to help."
