Lily smiled at the honest and simply answer given. It was something she could hold onto for when she had more shopping adventures. This was becoming a very interesting afternoon, no matter how strange it was.

"Thank you," she said softly, "I had not imagined that this color could work with my hair, but you are right and it does not stand out to much either."

She was a bit shocked when she was handed, yet, two more blouses and she felt a bit guilty. He'd been browsing for his mother, here he was picking out things for her. It was such a polite and kind gesture that Lily took both blouses to try.

Before she headed back to the fitting room she said, "Thank you for your help. After these, if I might be of help to you? You were looking for something for you mother? I saw something very nice, just around." Lily pointed, "Just there," she said pointing to a lovely ensemble.

She turned and headed back into the fitting room. This time she would try the shirt and decide for herself how they look, even if Howls opinion would have helped greatly. She felt she was using to much of his time and he was so kind about it. Lily felt very guilty.

She tried each blouse and gave them the twice of over and decided she would take the bright blouse and the lighter one that was closer to a medium tone. They both looked lovely and different. She would have to thank Howl again later.

Lily made her way out, the fitting room attending taking the extra blouse from her, although Lily could have put it back herself.

In all honesty, the young man really didn't need any sort of assistance when it came to shopping for his mother. If that had even been the reason he'd been out browsing in the first place, he would have been well off. He knew his mother and his father's tastes like the back of his hand.

"No need to burden yourself, Miss Jacobs. I can assure you that shopping for my parents is not a difficult task in all honesty." With a nod of his head, the girl walked back to the fitting room, leaving him to browse once again. Much like before, he walked along, not particularly looking for his mother, but if he came across something he felt that could suit her tastes, he paused in step to take a look.

He would make it to the men's department eventually. At least, he hoped that would be the case.

Lily smiled when she came back holding the two blouse that had been chosen for her and happy to see the boy had not any more, which meant thankfully, well hopefully the awkwardness would go away.

"It isn't a burden," she said responding to Howl's previous statement, " in all honesty I feel a bit guilty. I mean here you are helping me and I just feel like I am taking up your time. I mean we have just met and it was very kind of you to help me like this, but it is ... it is awkward. Is it not?"

Lily shuffled on her feet a bit wondering if her words had not been a bit rude. Usually she wouldn't have noticed such a thing, but with the boy it was glaring obvious. She hoped he did not take her words incorrectly.

"I do not mean to seem ungrateful. I am very happy to have two very lovely blouses to purchase and I do thank you," she said in a very soft tone.

As the girl seemingly began to apologize for her behaviors, the young teal-haired fellow turned to face her. His eyes were upon hers in the most polite of ways, warmly inviting her to continue to speak. Yet, when she had finished her piece, he chuckled slightly.

"Miss Jacobs, things are only as awkward as one imagines them to be." He flashed a smile in her direction. "Why would it be awkward to assist a charming young lady such as yourself? I find it quite pleasant."

His teal eyes continued to remain upon the girl's face, waiting to observe the reactions that would come from the girl. She seemed like the sort who would start blushing after a young man showered her in compliments.

A look of relief passed across Lily's face at Howl's words. She did indeed give an embarrassed blush as she thought she had been anything, but charming and thanked him just the same.

"You are right of course. I think that I simply need more occasions such as this. I do not come to the mall very often. Holidays and birthdays seem to be the extent of my mall adventures, but I will have to remedy that soon."

She took a step forward entending to browse a bit more, but a classy pair of pants caught her eye and she moved toward them and picked up a pair. She held them out and looked them over before looking to Howl.

Taking the brighter blouse she held the two up together, "Do you think that these two you go well together. They look like they might make a good pair." She was a bit more relaxed, even if she was still wasn't use to the situation. It would take more than one little shopping adventure to cure that.

Ah yes, that familiar rosy color. He had definitely hit a nerve with that one. An embarrassed nerve at that. However. Liliana didn't sink into a complete melt down, which was a good thing. She thanked him and then moved on, which was how it was supposed to work. Some girls got really shy, and others got really defensive, like a compliment was a bad thing.

As she paused, he paused in step. When she held up the pair of pants, he looked at it critically. Stylistically, the pants were way too good for the blouse being shown with it. However, the other blouse seemed more like a better match. "If I may suggest, perhaps switching the blouses around would be a tad more effective." Saying it would "look better" usually came across as an insult, no matter how good the intent was.

Lily looked from the pants to the blouse to the pants to the other blouse and switched the two. She looked it over and nodded, "Yes, I see that does look better." She looked to Howl and smiled, "Thank you. You are very good at this," she admitted, "I might not have noticed that on my own."

She kept the pants and the blouse together and started browsing once more looking for a skirt match the blouse she had, but also thinking about the clothes she already had in her closet. She definitely had plenty of shoes she was certain that would go with the one outfit, but she had an over abundance of skirts and she could bet she had a least one that would go with the blouse in her hand.

She looked to Howl for a moment before speaking, "How is that you come to have such a wonderful sense of style," she asked casually.

"You are very welcome, Miss Jacobs." His head nodded a bit. There was a slight pause in the conversation where he glanced about to notice they were finally reaching the border of the female clothing that merged into male clothing. It would be wonderful to be able to make it over there in time.

The girl's question did manage to bring his attention back to her face. "I supposed it would be improper of me to say 'I blame my parents,' though it is mostly their doing. You see, Father is constantly needing to worry about his appearance due to work, and Mother's job is completely based upon her physical appearance." If one couldn't learn about the basics of style based upon such an environment, Howl did not know what else he could blame it on. He wasn't exactly one to make a hobby out of fashion, but he did try to look presentable as possible at nearly all times.

"Now, Miss Jacobs, I suppose it is time for me to bid you farewell." Much like how he had greeted her, he reached forward in an effort to get her hand again. And much like before, if he got said hand, he'd lean down and place a feather-light kiss upon it.

Lily smiled at Howl, no matter how strange she thought there encounter might have been, the boy had been very polite and kind. If asked she would have to say she liked him, she bet he would make an interesting friend.

She gave a nod when he explained about his parents. Of course it made perfect since. In her family her father and sister knew fashion, but they traveled a lot, so she was subject to the descent and appropriate, but not stylish dress of her mother and brother. As far as the subject was concerned Lily was in the middle. She giggled, "That is a lucky thing I suppose. You'll always know what to wear."

Lily gave a small curtsy to Howl's kiss to her hand. It was like meeting a character from a fairytale in a way, a real prince or knight. "It was very nice to meet you Howl. Thank you for your help. I hope to see you again sometime."

She waited for a moment before turning with a small wave and heading off to the register to purchase the items she had in her arms. She smiled to herself hoping she would see the prince again.
