Ail was about ready to have a major fit of crying. Why was it his fault he didn't have a family anymore? Shouldn't it be the fault of whatever took his family away from him? Maybe he was scared of whatever had hurt his family hurting her and her family. It seemed unlikely, since Mommy would hit it with her spear, Ail would bite back, Vivi would hypnotize it, Rosi could fly away, Daddy could also fly, and Mommy's Friend would also help fight back.
Still, she cried. It wasn't fair. He was so scared of losing her that he wouldn't stay with her. And it wasn't even his fault. "It's n-not f-fair," she said through tears. "Y-you're not guilty, it's n-not your f-fault, so why d-do you and th-those around you have t-to suffer?"

"Life's not fair. But it's what's going to be." He shut his eyes, why did it have to be that his first friendly encounter he had to leave like this?
"It's for your own safety. I can't stay." He smiled, hoping that she wouldn't cry. "Maybe in another life, huh?"
He backed away, walking backwards. "I'm sorry..."
Maybe it would have been easier if he had never met someone so kind.

Ail couldn't move. All she could do was cry and hope that he would come back. He'd come back to her...right? She couldn't believe in a life where he wasn't there with her. "Please...no..." she whispered as she sobbed and he backed away.
