Hyde was quite finished with talking. He had nothing against talking - and had little to no filter between what he thought and felt and what he said. Talking in and of itself could be an action - an expression and letting loose of the inhibitions that the other side of him trapped within.
But there was a time when conversation grew cold and no longer held his attention. There was a time when he yearned to DO - to run and to take and to wreak himself upon the world and those around him.
And that time was now.
It was time for Hyde to leave his mark on this world - before Jekyll ever had time to form an opinion. It was bold, refreshing, for him to be the one to take the first step and make the first impression. There would be time later for HIM to regret and desire and yearn... and for Hyde to feed upon that... but for now... he was in power, and he would not run out of steam so easily.
"Very well!" He roared and set off for Mary to follow. He didn't know the land well, but he hoped that if he followed sounds, that it would eventually lead him to others - and when there were others, there were playthings.
There was a roughness and a wildness to his gait - tearing at the ground beneath his hooves as if it had wronged him.

A rolling laugh escaped her as she moved to run along side him. He could suddenly change direction, swerve into her, and that would be a mess at this speed, but that was part of the thrill. He was wild, unpredictable, and a perfect God potential. He was stunning already, with immortality and the powers of a deity, he'd be STUNNING.
Mary grinned, feeling suddenly impish. He wanted her to do the unexpected, did he? Well, no mortal could fathom the will of a Goddess, but if he was to ascend, he would have to learn. With another laugh she swing her mirror, which had been trailing behind them out to in front of him. Would he swerve, would he crash into it? She was prepared to yank it up, but was thrilled at this chance, the first time since she became a Goddess to play chicken.

Hyde was taking in sweet lungfulls of air. The air here was so pure... so virgin. Not like the cloying, filthy air where he had come from. This land seemed so untouched. So ripe for the plucking.
Jekyll put himself on that ship to get HIM away from things he cared about, but perhaps he didn't know just how much fun he could have here. He probably would have liked it here. Peaceful. Hah. Not for long, if he had his way.
As he was running, that mirror swung in front on him, reflecting back his own manic smile. Mirrors. For a moment, he almost thought he saw his alter ego there - a nervous, twitchy stallion. Eyes wide and mouth open in protest - as if he knew what he were about to do. Hyde just smiled wider and dove for the mirror hooves first.

With a delighted peal of laughter, Mary pulled the mirror away at the last minute before setting it up ahead and to one side, almost like a target, almost like a dare. What would he do? Her eyes flashed with excitement, she couldn't wait to see!

There was a note of disappointment and irritation as, at the last moment, Jekyll's face pulled away from his hooves at the last possible moment. There was no satisfying crash, no seeing his face shattered into a thousand pieces.
He landed hard, having not anticipated the obstacle being removed.
And he turned with a snarl on his face, accusingly at Mary. He had seen her with the mirror, it hovering by her like some tame insect.
"Why?!" He demanded. "Why take from me the satisfaction?" Hyde was fickle - at one moment heated and passionate and seductive, the next anger and violence.

She grinned wickedly at him, unfazed in the least. She was a Goddess, after all. What had she to fear from a mortal, even one with as much potential and raw power as he. "What?" she asked, voice honeyed and taunting. "Don't think you can catch it unless I let you?" she asked. Then she laughed. "It is a divine artifact, my dear Hyde. Even if I held it still for you, you could not shatter it. But as with many things, the fun is in the chase, is it not?" she asked, and since he was such a fan of doing the unexpected, she darted her head forward to n** at the back of his neck.

If you boast such confidence in the sanctity of your precious mirror, then why not let me try?" He grinned devilishly, eager to attempt to best this hint of a challenge. He did love the chase, but he would not be led around like a cat after a toy. He was no kitten - he was the tiger.
However, before he could do anything, she dashed for him herself, nipping at his neck. He reared, eager to meet this challenge. He could tell from her mannerisms and the shine in her eye that she did not seek to truly harm him, but this was a challenge - a test of strength. He let her teeth graze his neck, and then wheeled around, catching her thick mane between his teeth and continuing the circular movement.

She felt his teeth in her hair. How long before anything but the rain and wind cared to touch her locks? She felt the spin and went with it. Her head tipped back, in laughter of course. The fact that it eased the pull slightly was, of course, of little consequence. She laughed out as the spun, giving him the lead for this moment, making no move to stop or to fight him. Just as he let her graze his neck, she let him do this, to see what he had planned to do next.

Hyde had no more plan beyond the whim of any passing moment. He carried her thick locks like the streamer of a maypole, galloping quickly around her in a circle, as if to ensnare her with her own hair.
For the moment, the mirror and her previous "challenge" was forgotten. For the moment, even Jekyll was forgotten. Hyde thrived in the moment. Every breath, every second of life a thrill and a triumph.

She laughed as she spun, laughed whenever she was not fast enough and her hair wrapped about her neck like a noose. What fun he was! So strong, so violent, so utterly...... She broke off the thought before it could finish forming. A Goddess had a duty to her children. She had no right to fall in love... did she?

Hyde clenched his teeth, pulling ever so slightly that her thick hair tightened around her neck. There was a dangerous flash in his eyes - a daring, the feeling of power and control. He could pull harder. He could hurt her.
If he wanted to.
But right now, there was more fun to have with her than that. Perhaps later. Perhaps if things got dull.
So just as it started to feel uncomfortable, he released her hair. His heart was racing. He was living. Here in the moment.

She kept moving as her hair was released, stumbled several steps, her eyes mirroring his, wide with adrenaline and thrill. She reared back, flailing her hooves. She felt wild, primal, free!
She shook her head and her hair fell back into a wild mockery of it's usual style, her eyes flashed. More. More! More fun, more danger, more thrills more....HIM.

Hyde just flashed her his devil-may-care grin and was off again, following his nose for a scent of others, be it humans or soquili. Something fun to play with... and perhaps a test for this "Mary". Could she follow in his hoofprints and live as he lived?
He was off, kicking up the speed, not even bothering to glance if she was following him. He knew she would.

She gave a rich laugh and kicked of after him, racing alongside, thrilled and living in the moment. For once, even thoughts of being a Goddess, of being dark and gloomy. For now she was just... alive. Filled with an energy she had never felt before, as mortal or Goddess.

He raced through the sparse trees, hooves tearing clods out of the soft earth. He raced towards the edge of the woods. While he enjoyed the overshadowing looming trees and the cool breeze, there was not much opportunity to cause problems hidden in the woods.
He could smell the faint smell of smoke on the air. Perfect. He veered in that direction, mayhem in his eyes.
