"I left my pack because they wouldn't let me be me... I'd like to become a knight and fight to protect your pack. " he thought about what he could say about himself.
"To be honest, I don't know me, I never lived for me, always treated as an object, I kinda need to learn to be more normal I guess." He dropped the meat in front of Sam. Then sat beside her. "I just don't know what to think, I think I'm a gentlemen tho, my father always said I was weak because of it."

Samantha listened carefully, beginning to eat, but only taking a bite or two, in a polite manner, but her attention was on the conversation. Afterall, she needed to know a little bit about her new pack member, right?
When he finished speaking, she finished digesting the new information; perhaps even more filling than the boar. "So...you fight for freedom, then?" she summarized of his first statement. Then she smiled. "I can respect that. There is no greater gift than one's freedom. I've lived on my own for sometime, and I never forgot that. It's partly why I've kept moving for so long without settling down in others' lands."
She was quiet for a bit, then continued. "The way I see it, manners are not a weakness, and neither is kindness or respect. If you possess those, and can KEEP them even in the face of adversity, then it proves that you are even stronger than those who threaten you because of it. They fear that strength and attempt to beat it down, to place themselves higher than what they fear."
She rose to a sitting position. "I don't know what normal is exactly, but I think you're fine just the way you are, Cloud. And if that's not normal, then normal is overrated." She grinned, chuckling softly. Whatever fates had brought the two to cross paths today, she thanked them for bringing her yet another new friend.

"Thank you, you made me feel better then I have felt in a long time." He wondered about her past, but what if that made her uncomfortable? So he kept quiet.
"You know, eat as much as you want, unless you aren't hungry." He wondered if she might think he was good looking? He doubted it, he didn't find himself good looking.

"Well, then that makes me feel good too," she nodded with a smile and a chuckle, lightly bumping Cloud's shoulder with hers in a friendly manner.
She took a moment to clean herself, nodding at his comment. "I was a bit, but I think I'm good for now. We really should be getting back to the others, before they start to worry. And what better way to celebrate a new friend than with a good meal to share, hmm?" She rose to her paws, glancing the boar over for a minute to see if there was some way she could share the weight on the way back. She'd be happy to lead, of course, and it wasn't far, but she didn't want to put all of the work on Cloud, when he was the one sharing in the first place.

Before even thinking about sharing the load Cloud popped it up onto his back, then smiled at Samantha. "Let's go, thank you for listening to my boring life. But I think now it's going to be much more exciting." He laughed.

Samantha stopped, mouth open about to say something about sharing the load, then just paused and closed her mouth again. Bah, so much for that idea. She felt bad, letting Cloud do all the work, but...she'd just remember to make it up in some other way later. Looked like they'd be traveling together now anyway.
She started to say something about how his life wasn't boring to hear about, but didn't, in favor of moving ahead and not looking back negative things. Instead, she chuckled, taking up a stride that placed her only a step or two in front of Cloud, leading the way back to the others. "Well, if nothing else, I can assure you, the future is likely to be anything but boring, if recent events have been any sign of things to come."
She started wondering what the others might say when the pair returned, then grew amused once more. Great spirits, she was gathering a right pack, wasn't she?
