Shinji Excalibur XXX Shinji stood, glued into the same spot he bowed only moments ago, as the brunette introduced herself and nodded politely. He didn’t refuse the one called Eliya’s request, he just thought it right to introduce himself standing up. Just before he began, the third person, a blonde, walked up and introduced herself as well. Shinji smiled politely and nodded before saying. “Nice to meet you all. My name is Shinji Excalibur, but Shinji is sufficient.” Once he finished his statement the one called Salihn walked back to the window not far away from the table. He looked somewhat dazed as he looked between the three women. It was completely obvious that they had already had an argument, and even before the quest even began.
XXX ‘I hope this doesn’t continue…’ He thought as he finally took his seat next to Eliya. He removed his hood, revealing his long black bangs that where tucked neatly sideways into his hood, he then shot a glance at each woman one last time before removing his rucksack and placing it between He and Eliya’s legs. For some reason, he thought it was safer there then on the bench. He then took the draping material that made up some of the clothes on his left arm and leg and detached them. It was something that he made as a more ‘obvious’ notion that he was a mage. The way he detached them was simple, they where tied on so he easily removed them and stuffed them into the rucksack at his feet. Once this was finished he looked back between Mora and Eliya’s faces as he sat there awkwardly. “You both have beautiful names.“ Shinji said almost to fast for he himself to catch what he was saying. He blushed some and put his head down and kicked the dirt that was on the hard wooden floor below him before awkwardly trying to change the conversation. “Uh, Um…” He began as he looked into his overly stuffed rucksack. It was then he knew what to try and say.
XXX Shinji cleared his throat slowly and low enough so no one could hear, but he couldn’t hide the fact that he was still blushing, so he waited a few moments before trying to change the subject, and hopefully not get dragged into something he didn’t want to be. “As my apparel already suggests…” He began as he looked up at the two women at the table. “I am a mage, more specifically, a war mage. It doesn’t matter to me which type of fighting style I use, so long it doesn’t get anyone who is with me killed…” He said as his left hand began to glow with a yellowish glow that lit up the room ten times better then the few candles on the tables all around him, then his right hand grabbed onto the hilt of his war hammer and gripped it tightly. His hands stayed there for a few more moments, till Shinji knew what to say next, then he dropped them. “I have the blood of a Redguard flowing through my veins, but I do have Imperial ancestors. I believe that is just about everything about me, in a vague way…” Shinji said as his eyes went into a light shade of grey for a moment, as they often do when he was reminiscing his horrid past.
XXX When Shinji came back to reality, which was only a few moments later, he felt another awkward silence coming on and he didn’t know what to do at this point, so he blushed again before remembering a common gesture that should get their attention off of him, for now. “So, um.” he began as he looked at both of the women carefully, then blushed more as he realized that they where both pretty. “Um, enough about me, what about you two ladies?” He asked as he blushed a beat red. He laid his elbows down on the table and covered his face for a second or two and put them down. This normally calmed him down, but it didn’t, so he laid his head down on the cold table, which immediately returned his face to it’s normal shade of peach. He picked his head up, and with a neutral smile on his face, waited for a reply from one of the two ladies he was sitting with.

Eliya ~ Eliya was pleased when Mora shared her name with the group, though she was a little put off by Salihn’s attitude and immature behavior. Sure the mage had hardly been welcoming or nice to the other elf, but it wasn’t as if she was being outright rude. She had after all, obliged to the other woman in offering up her name. The same could not be said for the blonde. Instead she’d became upset that the two other women did not ‘enjoy her company’ and had walked a few feet away to pout. The woman’s obvious lack of professionalism had Eliya all the more happy to distract herself with the newest member of their team.
The redheaded mage was, how to put this? A nice word would be amused, at the way the blonde elf enthusiastically greeted the newcomer. It was as if Salihn was intentionally being over friendly to the mage so that her rudeness to Eliya and Mora would be emphasized. And as if that wasn’t enough, she felt the need to extend her prestigious title, probably to make him take her seriously given her attire. Eliya didn’t care what the blonde woman said, bare legs were bare legs and it was hardly summer. The red head was only too pleased when the other woman moved back to her ever so vigilant post. Eliya found the other woman’s behavior immature and she only hoped that once their task began Salihn would be more professional. After all, it wasn’t as if they were there to make friends.
As the newcomer introduced himself Eliya nodded, the smile on her face giving no indication of her prior thoughts. Shinji, as he called himself, seemed cute in the way he spoke quickly, saying that the women had pretty names. Eliya thanked him and waited for him to speak, enjoying herself immensely as she watched him awkwardly attempt to cover his blush and change the subject. Casually she listened to him speak, surprised even by the total openness in which he spoke. When he finished and asked about the women, Eliya decided to go ahead instead of waiting for Salihn to speak up again. The blonde elf had decided to join them again, even offering up drinks, to which Eliya had simply gestured to her own half full glass and shook her head.
“I live in the Imperial City and study at the Arcane University. I am affiliated with the Mage’s Guild and have select excursions several times a year in which this happens to be one of them.” A smile was on the mage assassin’s face as she responded. Her words had been simple and held no specific detail. Though some people chose to live their lives like open books, she was not one of them. Her job often called for stealth and secrecy; this harmless conversation was no exception.

One of Mora's slim eyebrows rose as the other Bosmer threw a sort of fit of... of... well, she couldn't think of the word for it. It was rather immature for one thing, seeing as she and the other elf hadn't treated her all that badly. At least, not outwardly. The blonde Bosmer seemed quick to be injured, quick to fall into despondency. Well, maybe that would teach her to have such foolish tendencies for the sake of remembering her homeland. A necklace or a bracelet Mora would understand. But a whore's costume in cold weather? Ridiculous.
The brunette elf wasn't surprised when, in an abrupt change of manner, the blonde wood elf introduced herself to the new man. Salihn was her name, apparently. Mora was almost positive that that was the first time she ever heard her name. But whatever.
Mora moved away from the fire and sat at the table again when Shinji sat down. She heard his compliment to both her and Eliya with pleasure, giving him a polite smile and nod. But he seemed dreadfully embarrassed at his own words. Mora was struck by how adorable it was, but carefully hid her thoughts from her features. Their new member didn't need to be overcome by embarrassment. It could be distracting in a time one really needs not to be distracted. Mora settled in her chair and listened to his account of his abilities and, she was delighted to hear, his heritage. A pale Redguard! The brunette Bosmer was intrigued. With a sudden intensity that had nothing to do with anything except the gain of knowledge, Mora's eyes traced the lines of Shinji's face, picking up the details that she now knew were Redguard.
She stopped when he asked of herself and the Altmer. After Eliya's reply, Mora said, "I also live in the Imperial City, and am also studying at the Arcane University. I do scouting missions for them, and they teach me the art of healing." While her statement had been almost as simple as Eliya's, Mora's words were pretty much the sum of her life. There was no other detail; no great friends, no family tragedy, no dangerous stunts. Simple. Boring.
When the Blonde Bosmer offered drinks, Mora sighed, and looked up at her with a critical gaze. It was a gesture of peace, she could see, and not something she should slight because of petty differences. The party needed to be whole in order for them to work. Mora let a slight smile touch her lips, but not her eyes, and she nodded graciously. She was approached by one of the servants to ask what she wanted. "Have you a bottle of Surilie Brothers? Preferably Vintage 415? Thank you." Mora murmured in reply.

■ □ ▬ [Saélihn Aeradel] ▬ □ ■ Her mood was not entirely ruined by how she felt towards the other bosmer. She just didn't get why they were so against her current apparel. It wasn't as if she was an actual whore.Whatever the case, the damage had been done and Saelihn would forget about it soon enough. Their new member didn't seem to pay any attention to her question nor did he say a word towards her. Saelihn was feeling a little isolated from the rest of the group at this point. The two elves seemed to be getting on just fine and the new male part member was beginning to get into the group. Sure, she hadn't done anything to make the others think better of her. In fact, she had done quite the opposite.Saelihn figured that trying to make amends would be a good start to fitting in. "Look, you two haven't done anything bad to me and I know you know that. The hissy fit I had earlier was uncalled for. I'm sorry, could I possibly start again?" When answered by Mora, she let loose a large smile and nodded. Saelihn twisted her wrist and placed it inside her pocket to retrieve the simple fee owned to the innkeeper. As the money was passed to the serving maid the woman left for a slight amount of time before returning with a bottle of vintage wine. "Thankyou miss. For you Mora." The blonde elf then turned to the other pair who hadn't yet answered her question about buying them drinks. "The offer is still open, should you chose to accept it. She looked to the fireplace. It looked so warm and comfortable to the woman who had spent the last month in the world's forests. She could almost feel the smoldering flames touching her skin. Miss Aeradel felt as if the warmth was calling to her. But she didn't want to look like she was going to strop by going over to the fire. Later on in the night she would definitely be sat in front of that fire.

Shinji Excalibur XXX Shinji sat quietly as the other two ladies present with him gave short introductions of themselves, not really giving him too much information. They gave him just enough to know who they where and that was it. ’Curse my loose tongue.’ Shinji thought as Mora finished telling them about herself and ordered a drink. “Well since you’re here, a tall glass of water would be nice.” Shinji said looking at the maid. He then turned his attention back to the ladies at the table with him and thought about what to say.
XXX After a few seconds he came up with something. “Do any of you muse about what we will be doing in a few hours or maybe even days?” He asked looking out of the window. The darkness seemed warm to him for some reason. He guessed it was something about too much light that scared him, but who knew. He sat patiently and quietly as he waited for the women to speak. ‘Thank God the tide of conversation has turned…’ he thought as he reminisced on what happened only moments before.
XXX As Shinji waited for the women to answer he question he began to ponder in his mind. ‘How did I end up here…’ He thought as he stared into the flicker of the candle that was centered on the table he was sitting at. ‘I am here, but what thought; what opinion made me come here?’ The thoughts flowed through his mind, but he didn’t answer them. He let them slowly slip through the cracks as if he was trying to avoid all of them. Sure there where some answers, but Shinji didn’t want to think about that right now. The only thing he knew was that he was here and it was too late to turn back…

Eliya ~
Eliya was slightly surprised when Mora mentioned that she too, like the Altmer, lived in the Imperial City and studied at the Arcane University. That was an interesting similarity between the two women. Eliya had never seen the other woman before today, but that was hardly surprising given the considerable number of citizens who attended the University of the Magi. Not to mention Mora was studying Restoration, a school that Eliya herself was not familiar with. The redhead chewed some thoughts around in her head as she listened to the others speak. As far as she could tell, Mora hadn’t seemed to have any particular response to the fact they both studied at the Arcane University, and the way the brunette Bosmer had explained that she did scouting missions for them had Eliya’s interest piqued. It seemed she had more of an arrangement with some of the staff, rather then simply attending as a regular student.
Apparently Saelihhn was attempting to re-establish her position within the group, and with a slight feeling of irritation Eliya mentally acknowledged that being at odds with anyone in her group wouldn’t be beneficial to the upcoming job at hand. She had already risen her half full glass to the blond woman in response to her offer but decided to finish her drink and take the other elf up on her offer. “Another frostdew blanc please.” The bartender nodded and a minute later another fresh glass of the cool minty liquid was in her hand.
There was a lull at the group’s table as they sat drinking their beverages. Shinji broke the silence with a question, something that Eliya herself couldn’t refrain from answering. “All the time. In a few hours Jasaiim will have talked to us and I will find myself subconsciously asleep. Tomorrow we take care of business. A few days from now….” Unintentionally Eliya’s thoughts drifted. “Well, in a few days from now I will likely be back at the University.” The mage could have stopped talking with her first sentence. Instead she had continued, however the words that followed were hardly open.
Her words were closed, blanketing her in a self protective bubble.
“Excuse me, I think some fresh air would do me good.”
Eliya left her drink on the table, along with her new found comrades and quickly made her way the short distance to the door that led outside. Once outside she stood against the wooden building, her eyes unfocused as she lost herself in the labyrinth of her mind.

Mora looked up at the other Bosmer as she requested another try at their good graces. Normally, Mora would have just ignored her. Normally, this much time would not be spent with such a silly girl. Or this place for that matter. But this was someone who might be useful later - might even be necessary for their collective success. For that reason alone was Mora willing to let the other wood elf's actions pass. She nodded graciously at Saélihn's entreaty. Then her order of wine was placed before her, in the same sort of dingy cup that she had seen the others drink from. That couldn't be helped and, now that the drink was purchased and before her, Mora couldn't let it just sit and go to waste. She drank, found that the wine tasted normal, and was as satisfied as she could have been in the present circumstances.
The brunette turned to the man as he asked a question of the party. An odd question, she thought, but she would endeavor to answer anyway to ward off any awkward silence that would cause the group to be uncomfortable with each other. "The few hours following the present, it is up to the Argonian to decide our fate - how much longer must we wait for him? Tomorrow, we do as the Lizard says. In a few days... well, the Light willing, we will be back in our various homes back to our usual lives. Until another opportunity of work comes our way. That will be the case with me, anyway."
Everyone fell into their silent musings despite Mora's desire to keep everyone talking and amused. It was difficult to read and study the personality of people who didn't talk much. The Altmer said her bit about going back the the university then excused herself to seek fresh air. The Argonian's absence was making everyone rather fidgety, it seemed. Mora's mind fell back to contemplation. Early, she had thought Eliya had looked somewhat familiar. Well, now she knew why, and perhaps wasn't too surprised about it. There were many people who lived in The Imperial City, and quite a few studied at The University. Mora probably saw her around the place occasionally. She never forgot a face.
That put the present party back down the three, and the conversation wasn't going so well. Unfortunately Mora wasn't too versed on the nuances of keeping conversation flowing and entertaining. If Saélihn wasn't feeling so awkward her energy would have been useful to keep everything going. Maybe if she felt more invited to the table... Mora looked at the Blonde, gestured to an open chair at their table. "Have a seat; join us. No need to hover above us." She said with a slight friendly smile, having, in all appearances, forgiven the girl for being so poorly dressed.

■ □ ▬ [Saélihn Aeradel] ▬ □ ■ It was nice for Saelihn to see Shinji accept her offer to have a drink on her. She had already made herself feel like a complete and obvious outcast to the rest of her team. And with the talents she had told her team of, she wasn't feeling confident in going to battle with the rest of the group. Then came Eliya's turn to order a drink on her bill. Although she was confident that her efforts to turn the situation around were not about to make everything fine, they'd simply help their relationships for the fights ahead of them. Soon after Shinji had accepted her offer, the man asked a question of their musings. First Eliya spoke, her words ending like a stream of thoughts. Living in a university never struck young Saelihn as enjoyable in any way. She wasn't educated in subjects that one of a university or a rich man would be. Saelihn grew up in a wood surrounded city that was so isolated from the rest of Valenwood. In Silvenar you only learnt how to read, write, the elven language, add and subtract numbers. This was as far as academic studies went in her home town because if you stayed, which was expected, you wouldn't need much more. The bosmer were taught how to use a blade more than how to read. Then came her fellow bosmer's turn to answer the question. Yet again, the woman got to the point about what her plans were. The blonde bosmer sat silent until it was her turn to speak.Turning to the male mage, Saelihn replied, “I have wondered about what we'll be doing ever since I signed up for this task. I assume that we'll be told all about the bandits and get to sleep on it. Then we'll probably be sent to get them in the morning. It's a pretty unimaginative concept, I know,” She paused, to look down at the grime on her glass, "It shouldn't be hard, considering who we've got here. I mean we do have two mages, an archer and me, who is a part time archer. Really I focus on close combat. The bow is just for show, I can use it however. But in this situation, I believe my sword is much more useful.” When the altmer decided to leave the table for the fresh air, she began to wonder when the argonian would arrive. It was obvious to her that without his presence, everybody would be a bit off edge. She herself was already beginning to fidget. The silence that had consumed the group for the second wasn't helping the awkward atmosphere. When Mora gestured to a chair beside her, Saelihn felt less of an outcast to the group. Instantly the woman sat down and smiled to the woman beside her. "You have really beautiful hair Mora, I'm jealous. I mean, it may not mean much to you but I really do love it. If you would let me, I'd love to style it later. You see, you're talking to a Silvenar girl who knows a lot about hair," she paused to pass a friendly smile over to the other bosmer, "But trust me, I'll make it practical if you would let me."

Shinji Excalibur XXX Shinji listened to Eliya’s answer quietly and watched as she excused herself from the table and walked towards the door. She never looked back, so Shinji assumed it was her drink that made her dizzy, or something to that effect. None-the-less, he felt compelled to go with her, not because he liked her, but for the simple reason that the darkness was some what of a 'close friend' to him. He stayed, only because it was his question that kept him there. No one would of ever guessed what would have been said next, and quiet frankly, Shinji was very surprised.
XXX Mora’s response was quick and plain, much like Eliya. ‘The Imperial City must be strict or boring…’ Shinji thought as he sat at listened. About mid-way through her response the maid returned with his water and set it on the table. He replied with a simple nod and continued to listen as Mora finished up. He took a look at his mug of water. ‘So, they don’t carry glass here? Oh well, I will have to get used to it; though I am used to only the best glass in the country. Bah! Might as well...’ He thought as he picked his mug up from the handle and took a long gulp. As he was setting the mug down, Mora invited Saélihn to sup with them at the table. Shinji guessed that it was to clear the awkward silence. He thought that she did well, but when Saélihn began to answer his question, she put Mora to shame and that is putting it mildly.
XXX Saélihn’s answer was ‘long winded’. Shinji didn’t really hold it against the woman, but she did clear some of the awkwardness of the situation. Once her answer was finished, Shinji began to ponder about another question he might ask, but Saélihn began to talk to Mora about her hair. ‘Oh goodness, this is not my type of conversation…’ He thought as she went on and on about Mora’s hair. Then he remembered that Eliya was outside. It was ample opportunity to get outside into the darkness that called to him. ‘Looks like it’s time for a break…’ He thought as he stood. “If you willl please excuse me ladies, I think it best if I would join Eliya outside, if you don’t mind.” He said leaving his bag on the ground where he left it. He began walking towards the door and when he reached it pulled it open. He walked through and closed it behind him.
XXX He moved silently to the side of Eliya and leaned against the wall of the Inn. Not willing to break the silence, Shinji stayed calm and did not say anything as he passed infront of Eliya. Then the wind began to pick up and made the silence somewhat better as Shinji closed his eyes. The faint glow of the lanterns on each side of the Inn made him a little disturbed, but with his eyes closed his was engulfed in darkness; in short, he was happy. He didn’t know if Eliya noticed him, nor did he care. He was outside to enjoy the darkness of the night. With his eyes closed he began to ponder about all of the events that lead to his current ‘standing’. It seemed like only yesterday that his mentor died, but in reality, it had been years. “Time surly flies…” Shinji muttered to himself subconsciously as he began to reminisce on his dreadful past once more.

 Eliya ~ Eliya rested against the building as she looked out over the water. Absently she wondered if the others thought her rude for leaving them, but as quickly as that thought surfaced it was pushed away as she realized she didn’t care much for what they thought. A job was a job. But oh…. How long had it been since she actually cared what others thought. Apathy was a double edged sword. Who have I become? What would my father think? Her father’s face surfaced in her mind’s eye as she remembered the last time she saw him, at his burial. As for funerals go it had been quite grand and many had attended…. He had after all been an Arch Mage at the University in the Imperial City. She’d had her revenge of course, against those monsters that had killed him. The evil necromancers had taken the only joy in her now joyless life. And now what was her life’s purpose? She’d spent years training to get back at those who had taken her father’s life, and now that she’d killed them what was she doing? What was her purpose? Dutifully she continued her studies at the University but other then the occasional excursions for the Mages Guild and Dark Brotherhood…..The Dark Brotherhood. What would father think of that? I’m part of a brotherhood who kill for a living. And many are innocent. I have the blood of innocents on my hands.
The door to the inn opened and with a side glance she saw it was Shinji. Internally she sighed to herself. Conversation was something she should avoid right now, that was actually part of the reason she’d left the others; she wanted to be alone to her thoughts. Usually she was fine with who she was, but recently she’d been feeling rather lonely and reminiscent. Eliya wanted to pretend she didn’t know the reason but she couldn’t lie to herself. Not when the reason was because the death of her father’s anniversary was coming up later in the week. Surprisingly Shinji did not say a word. He too seemed to have come outside to clear his thoughts, though perhaps there was simply too much estrogen inside. They stood, their backs against the small building, in silence. The wind picked up and surprised Eliya realized that the silence between them was not awkward. It was comfortable in some inexplicable way that she could not define.
The afternoon had turned to evening while they had been inside and now, outside, Eliya’s thoughts of the past were pushed back, deep down, far away into the tresses of dark memories, safely hidden away. She glanced at the man beside her only to see in the lantern light of the front door that his eyes were closed. I wonder what he’s thinking. As if in response to her thoughts he spoke. “Time surely flies…” Unsure as to whether he was speaking to her or simply vocalizing internal musings out loud Eliya refrained from speaking, however a few moments later she spoke softly. “Yes it does…..” She looked away into the night as she said this, her eyes resting on a figure as he approached the duo.
“Jasaiin.” She greeted the lizard politely. “We are ready for your instructions, the others are gathered inside.” Eliya opened the door for the reptile and followed him inside the Inn. Once they stood at the table where the others were sitting the lizard man spoke. “Ssssso good thatss you all made itss. There are sssome banditsss north of here, wessst of the orange road. They have been causssing lotsss of problemsss. Their hideout isss an Ayleid Ruin they call Hrotanda Vale. From whatss I have found out it isss a two level lair with a fair amount of banditsss. You mussst eliminate all of them, but whateversss you find on them or there issss yoursss to take. I will pay you two hundred and fifty goldsss each when you return. I ssuggessst thatsss you sstart first thing in the morning. Any quessstionss?”
[ooc- in the first post of this thread I have added a link to a webpage where you click on the location to see a map of the internal structure. Please use this to your advantage. NOTE: There ARE some bandits outside the structure]

Mora watched the other Bosmer sit down readily at the table, and felt satisfied that this was going to be the first step in the party getting along more as they should. The Blonde spoke more easily of everything than the other two women, being able to take a question on give it more of an answer than Eliya and Mora combined. Not all of it was quite relevant, but it fought back a little of the awkward silence that was pursuing them that night. Then the other Bosmer starting going on about Mora's hair. Apparently this made Shinji rather uncomfortable, as he retreated to where the Altmer had moments before. Then the two Bosmers were left alone.
The brunette would have preferred to avoid this sort of tête-à-tête with the silly girl, but she was determined to - if not make herself agreeable - at least be more tolerable than she was acting before, when the issue of the blonde's attire was splitting the party. Mora wasn't entirely sure what to think of the other Saélihn's offer to 'style' her hair. She did promise to make it practical but... well, the whole situation seemed a bit uncomfortable. It would be a rather more personal and intimate activity than Mora was used to have with anybody, let alone a girl she only tolerated. She didn't let any of her feelings show on her face, settling only for a bland look covered by a drink from her mug of wine. Mora settled with the safe answer of, "If there is time after the Argonian briefs us on what to do, I will consider it." At this rate, there would be time for little else except sleep after they were told what to do.
But after that had been said, the door opened again and the Argonian, followed by the two others that had temporarily stepped outside, walked in. Mora was happy to finally see the lizard that she had been waiting for since that morning. She sighed with relief and said, mostly to herself, "Ah, there he is."
Jasaiin made his way to their table and filled them in on what they were to do the following morning. It seemed a simple, straight forward task; something the party could do as long as they weren't too outnumbered by the bandits. "Can you give any estimate of how many are holed up there?" She asked of the Argonian. "And if there are known to contain any Mages?" Those were Mora's only main concerns.

■ □ ▬ [Saélihn Aeradel] ▬ □ ■ The blonde bosmer felt in much greater comfort zone now she was sat down beside her fellow wood elf and redguard. And it did help that she had the change to ease the lingering silence with talking. Although a problem did occur when she began to talk about the brunette wood elf's beautiful hair. It seemed that Shinji did not enjoy useless banter about how one's hair could fascinate another and decided to leave to the outer bounds of the inn. This left the two bosmers alone, which was something that she had been waiting for. Sure, Shinji was nice and a perfectly fine gentleman but talking about important things to Mora was hard to do with another body in the way.
The reply of the other elf was not something she had expected. In actual fact she had expected the woman to refuse her offer point blank but for some sweet and kind reason the woman had accepted the offer if there was time. " Thankyou. I think that we probably won't have time but it's the thought that counts is it not?" she paused to quickly take a sip from her glass, "I never got to apologize in person. I'm sorry for acting so foolish earlier. And, well, I know that to most people this outfit is downright impractical but for me it is perfect. Rain and harsh weather doesn't bother me in the slightest and in combat I can easily move my body from one place to another. So yes, Mora I am sorry for earlier and I swear that I'll keep at a good or at least tolerable level from now on." She smiled as her little speech was over and slightly bowed her head to the woman.
Soon after her speech had finished in walked the mysterious Jasaiin, along with the pair of teammates who had briefly stepped outside. Finally he had arrived, which meant that she could finally get moving with the task.She had been travelling all day and had only been waiting inside the inn for little time in comparison to her peers.In response to Mora, who had been waiting for a much larger branch of time than herself, she whispered," Yes, we can finally get this task done."
The argonian man quickly made his way over to the small table that the pair were sat at and briefly told them of the plan. The task was somewhat simple which probably meant that they'd be gone within the next two days, probably earlier. As long as there weren't a thousand armed men and several armed mages she assumed that they'd be good to go. " Yes, as Mora said, have you got any sort of estimate on the number of men in arms?"

Keiden had been orienteering the wilderness from Skingrad to Chorrol. What a trek. He'd made his way through and past quite a few nasties and was certainly not pleased with the reception he'd found at a few destinations between the two. The guards were closing the gates to the city for the evening as he approached. A short hiss and the roguish Khajiit ducked his head, held his scabbard still and booked through the doors breaths before they hammered shut. "Fffh!" the male noised as he flopped against the wall inside the gatehouse. "Citizen? Are you well?" questioned a guard. Keiden raised a hand for pause, catching his breath and finally leaning up, thumb tucked in sword belt and palm resting on pommel of his blade. "Wh-here eez ze Grey Mhare?" wheezed Keiden.
The guard gave the Khajiiti Infiltrator his direction and even walked half way. "Stay safe citizen." were the guard's departing words as they separated. Keiden made his way to the door, and opened it to find a small gathering of a Redguard, two Bosmer and an Altmer with an Argonian. This seemed to be who he was looking for. "Not too late I hope?" came his gravely feral voice. "For the bandits?" he waved a slip of paper with the information pertaining to the little expedition.
Keiden's unprotected eye would scan over each of the party. The Redguard male, a battle mage of sorts. Strong with a sword more than likely, a moderately speedy casting hand behind it. Then the Bosmer woman, an archer, scout maybe? Then her, hitched breath and widened eye stopped on fair face of Altmer femme. The rich red hair, the essence of... was that death she was wearing? It was outright enthralling. He scanned her over twice. A mage, obviously. Then the last Bosmer woman, who he passed a little grin to, she wasn't too hard on the eyes, that was for sure. Sword, shield, bow. A soldier maybe? He gave her a twice over too, though immediately went back to catching little peeks of Eliya on the sly. 'What a piece she is! Mm!'he thinks.

 Eliya ~ Jasaiin nodded at the two women. "Yesss there are sssome magesss and my informant tellssss me there are at leassst ten, maybe fifteen banditssss all together." The lizard looked the group over a little dubiously and gave a curt nod at the newest member, a Khajiit. Hopefully some of these ones would survive. "I jussst want the banditsss gone. Return to me when it isss ssso." Dismissing the group, the Argonian left and took a seat at the bar and began to converse with the bartender.
Eliya had been fairly silent during the entire time, doing her best to ignore the glances that their newest member kept shooting her way. The mage wasn't the best at reading Khajiit facial expressions so she wasn't sure of his intentions, but either way she wasn't interested. She was on a job and now that job called for bed. Granted she could stay up a little longer and enjoy the enthralling company of her comrades....who was she kidding. She'd had enough awkward social interaction for one evening. She offered a small wave to the group and headed upstairs to bed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone had eventually gone to bed at some time and bright and early, Eliya found herself the first one up. Not a surprise really. The inn keeper had graciously put out some food for the early risers and Eliya helped herself to some fruit. Perhaps this was how the poor inn remained in business. Good customer service. The Altmer checked her things to make sure she was ready to depart, and then proceeded to sit by herself eating as she waited for the others. [[ooc- we need to make this rp move along, if people don't keep up, they will be left behind. No one is required to post in order. As a heads up, I will be unavailable to post at all starting next sunday. I am going to hawaii for nine days. Hopefully that won't crunch this rp too much.]]
The Brunette listened closely to the lizard's reply to her and her blonde companion's question. Some mages and fifteen-ish bandits... If played right they would have a chance. Mora just had to keep alive so the rest of the party could be healed of potentially fatal wounds. Mora looked up as the door opened, admitting a Kajiit who looked as if he had seen a battle or four. Good. Another party member; another person to make sure that none of the group died tomorrow. And the Redguard man would probably feel more at ease with another man who didn't like to randomly converse about pretty hair or some other nonsense a woman might think on. Well, probably anyway. The cat looked over everyone, Mora saw, herself being passed over quickly then thought of no more (which was somewhat insulting, no matter how little she cared for the cat man.) But Eliya... Mora could see his appreciation. She idly wondered if Eliya would act the typical Altmer and scorn his attentions. The high elf did seem to be studiously ignoring his stares. Either that, or she was simply tired. She did promptly go to bed after the Argonian was done informing them on the number of foes they were to face on the morrow.
Mora couldn't reply to the blonde bosmer's apology until after the speech about their impending quest had been given. It was good that she had admitted to her foolish behavior, and wanted to make things right with her. Though she wasn't sure how she liked being so singled out. Indeed, she thought the singular attention odd. Mora, however, did not often associate with anyone beyond her own family and couldn't assuredly decide whether or not her new acquaintance was acting strangely. After Eliya and Jasaiin left, Mora tuned to Saélihn and told her gravely, "Apology accepted, and I must in turn ask forgiveness of my coldness toward you. As a fellow Bosmer, one would think I'd be a little more understanding of your ways, however impractical they may seem to me at the time." Mora held out her hand to shake the other wood elf's as a sign of good-will towards her.
"It does look like there won't be time for what you proposed. I think it wise we all go to bed now. Goodnight, Saélihn, Shinji." She turned to the Kajiit, "We will have time for introductions tomorrow." she told him politely. Then she headed upstairs to one of the four small bedrooms that she had rented that morning. Hopefully the other three people could work out sleeping arrangements. Maybe she should have offered to double up with one of them? Not with one of the boys, of course. But with Saélihn? Mora felt that that may have been almost as awkward.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mora woke early, as was her custom, dressed quickly in her leather armor, and gathered her things in her backpack. When she went down to the main room, she saw that Eliya was already waiting there. Quietly she nodded to the Altmer and sat next to her. In silence Mora thought companionable, she picked up some cold meat and ate it, scorning the fruits and vegetables. Though removed from Valenwood, she kept that custom of being carnivorous, swaying only for a glass of good red wine or other quality alcohol. This was the only custom she shared with the wild elves of the south whose race she shared
