It wasn't long before David and the platoon of Royal Guard were fired upon by other soldiers in the area. One maltir fell and the rest scattered into cover. David ducked back through the hatch just as a plasma round grazed his shoulder. The bounty hunter fell back into the interior of his ship, clutching his shoulder in pain.
"Eva! Grab me a stimpack from the first aid box!" he yelled.

Laying next to a table outside were a smile pile of playing cards, most likely knocked off due to the players startled by the attack. The face of one card quickly began changing untill it looked similar the Vivi's. Not long after the card had changed Vivi's voice could be heard. The quickly halting words she spoke suggested she was talking to someone else other then her cards. Finding herself in her card Vivi looked slightly angry that she had been suddenly sent into it. Starting to come out of it she found herself trampled by running maltir. Starting to grab one by the foot she turned over glancing at the other troops as she was shot in the shoulder and side by rifles.

Grenadier Gar bravely fired into the charging horde from behind a wall of sandbags. "GGrr...Don't let them through!"
A second later, a tank shell exploded nearby and every last grenadier in Gar's platoon were killed. When Gar opened his eyes, there was nothing but smoke and the sound of his ears ringing. An Atolian flag lay tattered next to him. Determined to win, the grenadier picked up the flag and rammed it back into the dirt, hoping to inspire any nearby to rally to him.

The bounty hunter finished wrapping up a wound and went for his weapons locker. Plasma fire made clanging noises as it ricocheted off the hull of his ship. When David opened the locker, the ship shuddered violently from nearby explosions. David fell and several of his weapons fell on top of him. One pistol bounced off his forehead, dazing him.

Bombs were dropped, lasers were fired, and laser sabers ignited. The Dragonheart forces were showing no signs of letting up. However, their approach made no sense at all. If their aim was to conquer the planet, why destroy so much of it? It almost as if they were simply playing with the populace that fought against them.

The Royal Guard pounded the Dragonheart forces with everything they could throw at them. However, the Dragonheart forces continued to overwhelm their positions. The Royal Guard needed reinforcements, badly.

A spell already wrapped around her, Emma lay still. She would not last much longer. The enchantress' clothes were in tatters, her hair disheveled, and her eyes closing as she bled out into the earth.
Somewhere, her child wailed, sensing her mother's distress.

With the thought of killing the one who sent her in her mind aswell as the guns Vivi scrambled out her her card, quickly grabbing it with her tail as she received more shots in the back. Seeing an alley she ran stumbling into it before leaning against the wall. I'll kill them.

"Kill the dogs, kill the dogs, kill the dogs," the soldiers began to chant while unleashing their terrible technology. The main force was seemingly unfazed by any resistance the Maltirs and those that stood beside them put up.

Wine-dark blood gushed forth and soaked into the ground, and the wails of her newborn continued to echo in Emma's head as she lay dying.

Discord remembered how the Supreme Imperator had sent forces to assist him and Alnette in Necropolis when the Dragonheart Empire invaded. Though the protection of that domain was not very successful, Remus' efforts were well noted. Thus Discord was bound to assist those whom were allied with Galactic Rome.
There was a tear in the fabric of reality. Both Maltir and Dragonheart alike were frozen in fear by the appearance of this incomprehensible entity. Sent by its master to foil the Dragonheart Empire, the horror attacked the Dragonheart Forces without mercy. However, this being was spawned of magic, and thus its own efforts were less than successful. In the very least, it made some headway.

Getting turning her head Vivi watches as the Dragonheart soldiers started to head into the alley. Taking a ball from her card she received a couple shots in the arm as the ball rolled out of it. As smoke filled the alley she sloppily flew into the air as her legs got shot. Reaching the roof she grabbed it, feeling her grip start to loosen.
