Kimaji blinked, pride? How many new things she'd been learning lately! "Maybe, what is a pride? " The cub asked, liting her head from its lowered position, then jumping down from the rock, trotting to the older female with curiosity stamped all over.

What was a pride? Kiburi had never been told what one exactly was as she'd never asked the question herself. A pride was a pride and that's all there was to it.
"Well..." She began, a thoughtful expression on her face. "A pride is a collection of lions that gather together and live as a group." She decided not to go into the ranking system in case that confused the little one, she knew that it confused her somewhat.

Listening quietly to the lioness, the cub started to ponder: Did that cheetah belong in a pride? Did Dogo? And how about Uumikaji? But.. A pride was a collection? Then what was she and Swaii? "I don't think so.. " Kimaji muttered, sitting down. She wached a lizard pass by, only trying to paw it from her position, but instead whacking it a meter or so away. "I'm a bad hunter. " She mused.

"Me too." Giggled Kiburi, "I left my mama and papa before I had my first proper hunt, that wasn't good." Kiburi stretched herself out, yawning as her tongue curled between her teeth. "I probably should have stayed to learn a thing or two buuuut..." She leapt at the lizard as it scuttled away, skidding to a halt as she landed on her stomach, forepaws extended as if reaching for the reptile as it slipped away. "...I was too eager to leave."
She stood up to shake her pearly fur and glanced at Kimaji, "so Little One," the name had become a sort of nickname now, "What is this place anyway? It looks really pretty and mystical." She allowed herself to relax a little more now that she was sure it wasn't a pride's territory.

Kimaji was now busying herself with a moth, standing on her hind paws and attempting to whack it with her front. But eventually-- she fell on he back. "I dunno. " The cub answered, looking to the sky. "You'd need to ask Swaii. Swaii know everything! " At least in her eyes. The cub, still being young, thought that the adult lions always knew all, even if she could be clearly rong.

She hopped lightly from one foot to the other and skipped a circle around Kima. "Swaii sounds wise." She chirped, watching the moth flutter away on it's delicate wings. "It's good to know someone who has answers." She nodded.
"Let's go Little One. Could you show me more of your pretty lands?"

The cub nodded and pranced back the way she came, purpously jumping over a few rocks, though tripping on there edges sometimes. But she just picked herself up and went on. It wasen't long before the cub had led them toward the mountain were she andSwaii lived. At the base, after a few meters of dirt, there was a drying 'lake'(I think it was the lake from mine and Dusteh's first RP. xD ).
"My cave is up there. " She motioned with a paw, sitting on the first stones that aphered on the mountain's base. "But Swaii is asleep now, we shoulden't go there now. " The grey cub nodded, before getting to her paws and scrabbling to the water, dipping her head to drink.

She followed Kimaji around the rocks and found herself gazing up at the mountain. Never had she seen something so beautiful, so mystical. It held an aura that was simply magical and Kiburi found herself instantly falling in love with the place.
She drew in a deep breath, unabe to find words to describe her surroundings, and yet...when she set eyes on the drying lake her heart trembled. Did no rain fall in these parts? A trickle of fear laced up her spine as she thought of all the animals that would suffer because of this.
"You have a pretty home Kimaji!" Kibrui found herself whispering as she moved to stand along side the little cub. She had to admit she was curious about this 'Swaii' lion but she knew not to bother a sleeping cat. They could wake up grumpy!
She lowered her own maw to the water, lapping thirstily. It tasted different from the water in the pridelands but it was beautiful! She raised her head, water dripping from her muzzle as she gazed around. "Where is all the water going?" She asked.

"Its always been like this. " The cub blinked, not having lived the length to see the lake full up, to her it'd always been this way. After done drinking, the cub just jumped into the shallows, splashing around playfully. She rarely did this, especially without Swaii, but it was quite hot, and she wanted to cool down. "Kiburi come in! " She squealed, dashing out and tackling the female, in an attempt to push her in.

Kiburi gave a startled squeak as the wet Kimaji leapt towards her. Her squeal of delight shone as glittery diamonds in her eyes. There wasn't much water but atleast it could still be enjoyed. She'd never much been a fan of swimming in the stuff, but luckily it wasn't deep enough so that she'd need to.
She splashed in, holding her tail high as she felt the slippery stones beneath her paws.
"Water COLD!" She exclaimed, whiskers trembling as she pounced towards the other lionness, "watch out Little One! Here I come!" There was a playful tone in her voice.

Kimaji yelped and scuttled around in the water, fleeing from the older lioness in no sucess, and eventualy being pounced. Managing to keep her myuzzle out of water, the cub kicked at Kiburi's underside, trying to get her off.

Kiburi released a soft laugh which rang out delightfully through the air. This place had made her feel alive again and the little cubling was already a friend in her mind. Little Kimaji was a sweet little thing that was for sure.
She gave a small 'oof' sound as the grey and white cub tried to get free and reared up on her hind legs, releasing the other by doing so.
This reminded her so much of the playfights she used to have with her brother. Oh Mchele...how she missed him! Her eyes whirled with unshed tears but the smile remained on her face.
"Little One is strong!" Kiburi exclaimed, splashing back a few steps in the water.

"Swaii feeds me good! " The cub laughed, getting to her paws and dashing forward to tackle the female, maybe if she was shorte, she could push the female up and then make her fall on her back? But then she stopped, dead in tracks. Something hit her paws. Looking back, all she saw was a small vult, so she continued on towards the ever so slightly larger Kiburi.

"He sure does! You'll be big and strong when you're older and I won't be able to call you 'Little One' anymore." Kiburi grinned, thinking at how one day she might be looking up at this little girl.
She lowered herself in the water, getting her chest wet as she maintained pounce position, wiggling her bottom in the air as she prepared herself. However her eyes flitted from Kamaji to gaze at something moving in the water just beside her.
"Ah--ahh-AH!" She raised one paw out from the water and pointed in its direction, mouth hanging open uselessly. Then suddenly the words reached her mind and she spoke them aloud. "L-l-lake Monster!!" She squeaked as a shiny fin rolled up to the surface and dissapeared in the depths once more.

Kimaji didn't manage to put on the breaks, and rammed into Kiburi, blinking as she registered 'lake monster'. Startled, the cub then darted out of the water, going up the ountains base, wet fur prickling ever so slightly while she looked down the the lake: "Wher Kiburi?! Where?! " She yelped.
