GROWTH REQUIREMENTS
Why are they different?

If you're asking this question, you probably noticed that the growth requirements for customs are different than those of the ready-made kids. The culprit of the difference is Influences.
In the Vial stage, a custom kid can have anywhere from one to five extra Log entries.
The number depends on how many influences you have for your child. If you only have one, you only need one extra entry. If you have two, you need two extra entries. These entries are done in the Vial stage, and simply up the total number of entries you will have in your journal.

If you look, the 'total required entries' number has a star next to it. There is also a star beneath the requirements, explaining this all to you.
Go look closer. You'll see it.

I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER FREE KID?
What to do if you want a kid and don't have funds for a custom

No, and get your damn memes away from me.

The shop owners are greedy, money grubbing bitches, and they don't like to give out free kids.
The easiest way to get a kid, either cheap or free, is to wait for an Event. The flatsale price of 15k is much lower than the Custom price; we also usually have a contest of some sort, and there are no charges on those children.

'Oh, but I'm impatient!' you may say. Well, this situation is exactly what the Quest subforum is for.
If you have the perfect concept for a custom kid, and you want to put it somewhere right away before you forget, you can create a thread in our Questing subforum. In this thread, you can work out the influences for your child, and even create a mock-journal for them. Get everything ready; and in the meantime, save your money. By the time you're finished that quest thread, you should have enough.

Plus, although they are money grubbing bitches, the shop owners are easily excitable. If they really like your concept, they might draw it for you for a discount; and if you're lucky? Free.

I'M NOT EXACTLY SUPER LITERATE..
What your literacy level has to do with this shop

Lolly has little patience for n00bs and idiots, and is very likely to bite someone's head off for being illiterate, or disobeying the rules. Impy is a spaz, as well as a grammar Nazi. So, for your own protection, we've implemented a semi-literate requirement. This means you know how to spell, have a grasp on the concept that is grammar, and your posts are anywhere from one to three paragraphs long. And we really aren't going to object if you want to make them longer.

I WANT A KID, BUT I DON'T WANT TO RP THEM
What to do, and why.

Well that just defeats the purpose of owning one, doesn't it?
RP is required, in some form, for you to own a kid. These are RP intensive, changeable pets; and that isn't going to change any time soon. If you get a kid, and don't RP them, they will be taken away from you and rehomed to someone who will actually use them.
If we start giving out non RP kids, they cease to be changeable pets, and our shop will get kicked out of the forum. So.

What to do if you're going on hiatus.

Tell us, or we'll rehome your kid.

I QUIT
Screw you guys and your stupid shop
OR
I'm a douche so you kicked me out.

What happens when someone leaves.

When someone leaves, whether because they hate us or because we kicked them out, we usually laugh and make fun of them. Not that we don't love each and every one of you, of course, and appreciate you being here. We do, and if you're leaving because of a problem with the shop or someone in it, we'd like for you to tell us, in case there is a solution for it. If we've kicked you out? Well, bug off – we don't like you anymore.

However, there is the question of what to do with your kids. The answer is that they are rehomed.
When a Guardian disappears, an Impling (or Munster) will revert back to it's Vial stage, and search for another to care for it. Often, when in their vial, they forget who they are and will begin as a fresh start. Other times, they simply pick up where they left off; just with a new Guardian.

It's up to whoever receives the child after it's been rehomed.
