GS Sailor Dione Wedding Peach is really good. It talks about a pink-haired girl named Momoko who discovers her mother's ring is magical and turns her into a magical girl named Wedding Peach. She has friends who turn into Angel Daisy and Angel Lily. Gaia has an item that looks really similar to their chest armor, you can tektek it. Sounds promising and looks cute, I might have to check this one out heart

Lovely Sailor Sirius Winx Club is AWESOME! It's more or less fairies, rather than Magical Girl... Kind of a stretch, but they do transform so I guess it fits. The English is okay. I'm convinced that the Italian is better, though, or at least the RAI English version.
((And I've actually thought of taking a little inspiration from Stella, vis-a-vis her transformation.)) I watched a BIT of Winx Club, but in English, so I should watch it in Italian and give it more of a fighting chance >>;

GS Sailor Midnight WATCH CUTEY HONEY >_> Both the new & old versions. - I think there was a 1 ep live action also. Also Puni Puni Poemi..It's like a parody of the magical girl genre O_o; GO WATCH IT It's funny...Crued humor, but still funny. Tokyo Mew Mew - It's okay, not great - though I REALLY like the idea behind it. Pretty Cure - Never watched it, heard it was good. Saw bits of it online that looked good, but heck if I know what it's about. Magical DoReMi - (Japanese Version) I liked it, though at times I believed it had more potential. But then they came out with the Naisho Series.. I'd highly recommend watching it - Ojamajo Doremi. Never saw or knew an English version existed. Winx Club - Another one with good story. Especially if you like the fairy-tale kind of fantasy. (at least that's how I view it..) One thing I know is that it had several movies & running into what, it's 6th season? So, a lot of people must enjoy it at the very least. Card Captors - Sucks (it got boring way too quick like Pokemon) Mermaid Melody - Only saw 1 episode...didn't hold my interest though I can't say it was too bad. Saint Tail - I read what it was about, but never seen it yet. I have a high interest in watching it though. Alice 19th - Never heard of it. PPG Z - Eh...It's okay? Just an anime twist to the original. It IS pretty neat to watch though. Wedding Peach - I originally didn't like it because I expected it to be a rip-off of Sailor Moon (same with MewMew) But I like the concept of angels.. I'd recommend watching this. I hear good things about Cutie Honey, it seems like it's got quite a bulk of media too, I should check it out heart

Lunar Chikane Himemiya what about W.I.T.C.H.? i've watched it, it fits the genre in my opinion. I think I saw all of 4 seconds of it O_o I know there's a Sailor Moon Cameo in it though~ that must be worth something or another right?

rae-chan-sensei I can only give you info on the three that I know about, but here we go: For both Tokyo Mew Mew and Cardcaptor Sakura (both changed to Mew Mew Power and Cardcaptors in their respective dub versions), I highly suggest watching the original Japanese. Tokyo Mew Mew, for instance, brings up a lot of interesting environmental issues that the dub wrote out to fit in inane tripe like constantly whining about boys. Cardcaptor Sakura was changed up to make Sakura's male counterpart more important, because the dubbers weren't sure a series about a girl would be as big of a hit. The dubbing is okay, don't get me wrong. I just recommend the subtitled Japanese version more. As for Alice 19th, I've only read the manga and was not aware that they animated it. I loved the series though, it was one of Yuu Watase's shorter series which means it had less time to get bipolar on itself, so it was great! I've got to see if I can find the anime now, so if you watch it let me know how it was. whee I'm not sure if Alice 19th is an anime, I KNOW it's a manga though.

Princess Elysion Serenity Tokyo Mew Mew - Kinda dramatic and OH MY GOODNESS I can see some weapons that Mama had! (My mom is Sailor Chibi Moon.) The colors are better than th' story. Pretty Cure - Gomen, I haven't seen a full episode. But I saw some ripoffs in it. Magical DoReMi - It's okay, but really kiddish, even for me! An' the weapons look alot like Mama and Grandma's weapons. There's a series where th' 9 year olds become group Mommies to a baby! I'm not kidding! Winx Club - Italian cartoon. There's REAL nakedness in th' transformations, which is why it's not on TV in 'merica anymore, and why Mama won't let me watch. Card Captors - Kawaii desu! The uncensored series is really dark, an the edited version is really hyper, but I heart this. Mermaid Melody - TOO dramatic! An th' characters look suspiciously like Grandma and Ami-san. Saint Tail - Gomen! I read part of one book, but never finished it. Alice 19th - Wassat? Have you guys seen Milky Holmes or Galaxy Angel? Those are interesting! There's a girl in galaxy Angel that looks liek Auntie Kousagi, but with her hair down. heart Pretty. Milky Holmes is new. It's funky. I like it. Milky Holmes and Galaxy Angel? I think I've heard of Galaxy Angel before...never watched either though. More info?

Both are great, surprisingly, though the comics/novels and show do split somewhere in the middle. One event seemed to be completely denied in the show... I'm still a little iffy on that.

Musa has a more melodic voice, and I don't think they ever switched on Tecna's voice actress.

Magical Girl super fan here. i'll tell you whats magical girl and whats not.
List of Every Magical Girl Anime aimed at girls:
60s Mahou Tsukai Sally Himitsu no Akko-chan
70s Mahou no Mako-chan Sarutobi Ecchan Fushigi na Melmo Mahou Tsukai Chappy Miracle no Limit-chan Majokko Megu-chan Majokko Tickle Hana no Ko Lunlun
80s Mahou Shoujo Lalabel Mahou no Princess Minky Momo Tokimeki Tonight Mahou no Tenshi Creamy Mami Mahou no Yousei Pelsia Mahou no Star Magical Emi Mahou no Idol Pastel Yumi Harbor Light Monogatari~from Fashion Lala
90s Mahou no Angel Sweet Mint Hana no Mahou Tsukai Marybell Hime-chan no Ribbon Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Akazukin Chacha Miracle Girls Kaitou Saint Tail Wedding Peach Nurse Angel Ririka SOS Revolutionary Girl Utena (actually, that ones kinda on the fence for me. usually i dont count it) Mahou no Stage Fancy Lala Cutey Honey Flash Magic Knight Rayearth (also kinda on the fence about it) Card Captor Sakura Ojamajo Doremi Corrector Yui
2000s Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne Ask Dr. Rin Tokyo Mew Mew Futari wa Pretty Cure Mermaid Melody Pretear Fushigi Boshi no Futago Hime Princess Tutu Full Moon o Sagashite Powerpuff Girls Z Sugar Sugar Rune Shugo Chara Hime-chen! Lilpri
(i think that's everyone....)
More intended for a male audience and/or parody shows for smelly otaku- Cutey Honey Esper Mami Devil Hunter Yohko Magical Girl Pretty Sammy Mahou Tsukai Tai! (aka-Magic Users Club) Nurse Witch Komugi Puni Puni Poemy Uta~Kata Dai Mahou Toge Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha Moetan Papillon Rose Umi Monogatari Milky Holmes (i guess. i dunno. i actually hate that show XD)
pretty sure thats everything. probably some of those more male oriented shows i forgot about. but yeah. its a pretty vast genre. but I feel there are a few guidelines to help you figure out if what you're watching is a magical girl show
1) the lead character is a girl with magical powers. emphasis on magic. 2) the show focuses on the lead character and her problems pretty exclusively (like Belldandy from Ah My Goddess has funny powers. but the show is about Keiichi gettin it on with her. so therefore its part of the "magical girlfriend" genre and NOT a "magical girl" genre.)
thats pretty much it. someone mentioned something about girls bravo and it just me go "...whut?" so i just want to make sure you guys know what's what. ------------------------ In the 60s, all the way until the 80s, magical girl shows were pretty basic: "I'm a witch, and i'm gonna go to the human world and use my powers. just cuz" plot. in 1982, Minky Momo was released and started the gimmick of making the lead girl transform into an adult and she could do more things in that form (Creamy Mami and the animation studio "Studio Pierrot" then expanded this idea to make them singers. then in 1992 Sailor Moon was aired and the "girl transforming into a superhero to fight evil" trope was then forevever ingrained into the magical girl genre's history ((1973's Cutey Honey established this trope, but her show was aimed at boys. and she was also a cyborg. so its argued that she's just a normal superhero, and not necessarily a magical girl show))

Well that's very helpful, thanks heart I'll take your advice. I find a lot of things are listed as magical girl, but are technically shojo or something more along those lines. It can get annoying in telling the different X_x especially when certain shows are advertised along with magical girl shows that aren't anything like that at all O_o! And I made an avi of you! That has nothing to do with this but I like sharing! heart
