Destiny ::
Faust lay awake in his bed. He had not slept much lately and he knew why. He sighed and sat up, rain pattering down his window and his blue eyes wondered to the side to observe the drops. He slipped out of bed and stood up stretching and putting on his dressing gown. He folded his arms and wondered down the wooden stairs of the old inn. Turning on the main lights and then slowly making his way over to his desk. He ruffled his hair and sat down on his seat his blue eyes scanning the orange glass of his new found desk buddy.
Reaching out he wrapped his fingers around the thin rim and brought it to him, resting it in his other hand, he was almost cradling it; he wanted to make sure nothing happened to it. He looked around to make sure he was the only person here; he did not want to appear like he was crazy to any customer that might have wondered out of their bed. When he was sure he was safe he sighed and looked down on the object that had been on his mind constantly.
“You know, I think I might be going crazy. The other day a man came him and he told me you were going to do something quite odd. That one day you would grow to be a child, a life. I do not know what to think, I mean that is impossible but even the child with him seemed determined this was the case. I do not know what to think. Maybe they were just crazy, or there was some truth to their claims.” He began in a gentle voice; he could not believe he was down here talking to a bottle; however he felt like he needed to do it. He closed his eyes and brought the object to him, hugging the cold glass against his chest. He was so precious about the care he took with the bottle. He had grown an affection to it that he did not understand himself.
“I just want you to know, if this is the case I will not turn you away. I have never believed in destiny before but I know that you were brought to me. If I was truly meant to take care of you then it is a responsibility I welcome. I guess all I can do is close my eyes and wait to see what tomorrow brings. At least I got some warming; you are going to drive me crazy I can tell.” He smirked and let out a small laugh. Shaking his head in disbelief, he was really doing this wasn’t he? He opened his eyes and brought the orange bottle away from his body. His nostrils getting a strong sent of pumpkin once more. He tilted his head, a genuine smile forming on his lips. “How do you do that? Does it mean you are happy?”
He asked, finally getting to his feet and carrying the trinket upstairs into his room. He put it on his bed side table and pulled the covers back, slipping once again into his soft bed. He took one last glimpse of his precious before he turned over to lean on his side; soon drifting off to sleep. “Congratulations... you have been promoted to roommate.” He mumbled, his last words before the world of dreams took him.
