He started to relax, the beating of his frantic heart finally slowing down. Elzo's mind started to filter in the words an slowly, he could understand. He hated it, but he could understand. The softness of her hands in his made him smile. She loved him, and wanted the same as he did...but she was right. This wasn't the time or the place. A gentle kiss got him to break for her. She said she was weak? Obviously the girl had no idea the power she held over his head.
"Alright, I'll wait." A gentle press oh his forehead on her's gave him comfort. They were together again, if not how he pictured it, it was close. Close as he could be. And that was alright. The playful words drew a smile, and then, his hands slid down below her waist, lifting her up as he spun her around. "I dunno, want to come back to my place and find out?" The spinning came to a sudden stop. As he set her down, he was realizing what he just said.
"...I do want you, you know." His face turned a light pink. "I'm sorry, that was really really a** of me to say. Just-" his fingers weaved into her hand. "If anything...will you spend the night with me? Just...like we used to?" His face was indeed, pink.

The spinning drew out her giggles so that the pair who had been so tortuously avoiding each other and demanding answers were now laughing and clinging to each other like a pair of idiot lovebirds. Which was exactly what they were, after all! There was really nothing like young love, and there was very little else but love between them. The other emotion also began with a giant L, and had them both turning red with the admitting of it.
Nervous, Audrey did what came easy and kissed Elzo again, once, twice, the third time her arms came around his neck and held on as she slid in against him. It was where they'd been heading all summer, waiting and holding on for that day where she was legal. It was part of those nerves that had her reacting so badly to his bald confidence during their date, and her fear that she wouldn't be good enough. Guilt that she'd done this before, and he would (hopefully) have no idea. All of that was being tramped down as she made the effort to be a bit more carefree than she felt.
Faces were bare inches apart as she smiled, standing on tiptoes in her heels. "Elzo...let's go home."
