Flicking her ears, Ava brightened at Ban'ma's revelation. She didn't have to give up milk yet! The yucky water could wait! "I won't worry, mommy!" Now, how long could she delay the exchange...?
Feeling her brother curled at her side, a gentle purr rumbled in her chest. She had mommy on one side, Zaid on the other, and the bright sun warming her fur. Other than the water, this was very pleasant. Kneading the ground, she stretched out next to Zaid, turning to lay on her side. Her tail twitched contently, curling up and and down repeatedly as she baked in the sun, listening to the din of the gossiping lionesses surrounding them.

Ban'ma looked over her two little ones with a mixture of pride and unchecked love. Everyday they surprised her with something new, and equally as exciting. It was the same as with the other cubs she had raised while in the pride lands, just intensified.
And in the future, she hoped to be doing this same thing with them once again.
